If you read the reviews for Lennar they are mixed to be sure. Either very satisfied or extremely disappointed. I'm somewhere in the middle. My sales associate was great. The home is tasteful, but the build quality is only slightly above average. The house was overpriced, but isn't everything today. But for half a million dollars I would have expected more attention to detail as well as respect. Lennar Title and Lennar Mortgage should be avoided; they're snakes. Lennar Mortgage especially. Lennar credited me $10,000 even though I didn't use Lennar Mortgage due to their refusal to help me initially and then dropping the ball late in the game. Unfortunately, Lennar Title withdraw the $10k credit THREE HOURS before closing with no explanation; see you in court. Lennar delivered my home with dead, haphazardly, and poorly installed sod. Their justification, "this is what to expect when you buy a Ford instead of a Ferrari." We almost walked away from the closing, but they had us trapped. Not a great overall experience. Our New home consultant Ainsley was amazing! Everyone/thing else has just not been great. Unorganized, a lot misinformation. This review is after 2 months living in the home and still dealing with issues.

This is poorly built home. There are multiple issues. The builder has been responsive, most of the time but not all the time. I have been given excuses as to why the air conditioner upstairs is fine, even though the 2ns story is 5-6 degrees warmer in summer than the first floor. End result is that the builder has said "tough luck and under the RWC the A/C works fine. The plumber voided the warranty on the first floor tub due to improper installation. Builder refuses to rip out the tub and re-install properly. I was given a band aid solution of inserting foam. The manufacturer said they cannot support this remedy. I can go on and on but I won't bore you. The house is pretty and the designer made fine selections for cabinetry, tiles and flooring but quality of installation leaves something to be desired. ... Unfortunately, I would not recommend a Lennar build to anyone. If, however, you choose to go with a new build, please lower your expectations. The workmanship throughout the home looks incredibly rushed. The paint job is poorly done, some of the kitchen cabinets are not level, rubber seams on doors damaged, framing on outside window facade falling down, wood chipped throughout the home, floor trimming around baseboards not flush, paint/spackle on carpet, lighting not flush with the ceiling, etc. It's incredibly disappointing to see your investment look so poorly thrown together. It is evident that there's a very poor attention to detail that Lennar has with building homes. Granted, these are production homes that are built rather quickly. However, at the end of the day these are homes that people invest their hard earned money into and it would be nice if Lennar ensured that each home was built to a standard of excellence. You get what you pay for. This pretty much sums it up. They do have a pretty decent and friendly after sales staff that mops up the Problems caused during construction. Don’t expect a quality build.

Expect to be frustrated going through the process. Lennar mad us close on our house before it was ready - the finance people must run the show. They somehow got the CO but our AC didn't work, we had missing drawers, a vent cover, the pool didn't work, missing tile, a warped wall, and more. I asked them to redo many areas of trim and the redo was worse than the original. The subs are not really skilled craftsmen so expect a lot of uneven, misaligned, or warped areas. They do respond to warranty request if you are willing to put a lot of work into submitting, tracking, scheduling, and talking to them and their subs. We are two months in and still waiting for lights on garage, the pool heater to get turned on, trim work to get finished, electrical items to get corrected. The construction manager is a nice guy but he doesn't wright anything down or follow up. So the subs seem to ignore him knowing he probably will not remember or follow up. ... More

The workmanship in the entryway of the front door was poor. The front door wouldn’t open all the way and I had to advocate myself to get it addressed. The first attempt at resolving the issue was sloppy. Then the construction manager stopped replying to my messages. I then had to find another Lennar representative who would help me. Hopefully the warranty manager that I am working with now will resolve the issue but I currently have a front door that doesn’t open all the way.

We unfortunately have had on-going issues such as a main shower water leak and a secondary bathroom exhaust fan leak that have yet to fixed - almost two months now since we moved in! We will not shower in the main bathroom because of the large amount of water that will leak onto the floor after showering. All together we have had about 15 service requests, many of which have been fixed. However, some have not been to date. The quality of work/attention to detail is not apparent in many parts of our house. In fact, our front porch had to be resurfaced due to staining throughout the whole porch. We are hopeful that all issues will be resolved in a timely manner. We do enjoy using the beautiful pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, etc. And we have met many nice neighbors. Would not buy from them again. Lots of things wrong, from windows that won’t open to gaps in the crown mounding. Not to mention the closing was delayed 5 weeks due to forgotten steps with the city. Made my first home-buying experience very upsetting.

I’ve been in construction 12 years never seen such poor workmanship and we moved in with promises of our driveway and being done by July 9th and still waiting on irrigation and sod its almost august

Tape and bed seams visible throughout house, front column bricks crooked, light fixtures fell out of ceiling, fence gate won't open or close

Not satisfied with purchase or with help on getting set up on my new home. They promised you the world . After you close escrow your on your own!!!!!

Some issues were not were not resolve without several phone calls, emails, or requests for repairs. Issues with ouside were not resolved at closing and finger was pointed to HOA who pointed responsibility back to Lennar

bad closing experience with attorneys, mail box keys were incorrect, build quality was sub-par

Not at all happy at the moment with Lennar!! Hopefully , the issues with our home purchase , which are many are resolved in a reasonable amount of time..

Bought sight unseen. Never received alarms/internet stuff. Had to ask after we moved in. A/C didnt work, garage door opener doesnt work, tiles are cracked, dryer smells like its on fire. We have a long list. We have a virtual meeting today and still havent received an email about how that works

...when it six weeks to replace door locks that have never worked.Had to use garage door to go in and out.When duct work f/ ac is missing-never installed!I'llstop here before you think we'resdissatisfied...

Subcontractors: the attention to detail is lacking. No home will ever be perfect but you can tell when a subcontractor cares about the quality of work they complete. These subcontractors left carpet being lifted up in corners, paint on the baseboards, more paint needed on the walls, and the sod is absolutely ridiculous. There are seperations between sod spots the size of my foot. Lennar- If Lennar truly cares about the communities they are building they will have the common grounds sodded and the subcontractors pick up their messes. I continuously pick up trash in my back yard, had gravel sitting in my newly laid sod (which I laid myself) for the last week. Project Managers and Community Managers- They are all great, but its clear they are stretched thin. Lots of potential but I have been let down with the 25-30 items existing on my 30 day walk through. I am sad to be giving such a poor review when I absolutely love our home and had a great experience with so many of the team. I will start with the good parts. I love the home, the location, and the Lennar product. Rick the construction manager and Dana the Customer Service manager have been simply wonderful all throughout. Alex from Lennar mortgage was fabulous and though we had bumps on the road he moved mountains to help turn things around and was patient with our technology imperfections. Sadly, Jonathan and Marcelle on the realtor side left what should have been an amazing experience of buying our dream home an unresolved bitter experience. We were supposed to receive keys on May 3rd. We arrived to a red carpet, banner, and amazing customer service from Rick and Dana. Within minutes we received a call that due to a breakdown in communication between the mortgage side and the realtor no inspection had been ordered and we could not receive keys that day. Awful and devastating! Movers had been scheduled, work had been missed, landlords had been informed, and penalty fees had been paid. However, my family was willing to regroup and be flexible to resolve everything to get moved into our dream home. All we needed was communication and empathy. What we received was a drastic difference in customer service between the 2 departments. Alex from mortgage and his team moved heaven and earth, apologized, and checked in on us during what ended up being 3 weeks before we could actually move in. Jonathan blamed mortgage, my family (for a lack of understanding of information he never provided), and showed zero empathy. I ended up having to talk to his supervisor Marcelle. I had to place multiple calls before she would speak with me. When we did speak she showed some empathy but placed the blame solely on mortgage despite acknowledging Jonathan's bad customer service labeling it a "coaching opportunity". We expressed our appreciation but requested also to be made whole from all the financial impact these errors had caused. We did not want to profit just reimbursement for the real financial impact all this had caused. Marcelle said she would email someone and follow up. It is a month and a half later and Marcelle has never called back. We've left multiple voicemails, asked assistance from others who route us back to her, last week I received an email that she "would be willing to speak with me", I requested a time and have heard nothing once again... Oversold knowing they didn't have supplies, months overdue, and morgage company not in the best interest for the consumer. Overall D- in the experience with lennar, I would not recommend a Lennar home.

Do not buy with this builder. All they care about is money and not the customer. My realtor even said this is the worst builder she has ever dealt with and will not recommend this builder to any of her clients ever again.

my home buying experience was not pleasant. I felt like I was a number, I was told more than once, if you don't want it, there are others that do...way to make one feel welcome. Workmanship was an issue, ongoing, especially dry wall. I had to fight every step of the way to get things done somewhat correctly...no specialty items, just how it should have been done to begin with. If it had not been for BILLY, I would have walked away. He was the only person that was honest and listened to what I had to say. I have worked with and for builders over the last 20 years and have purchased new homes in the past. This has been a disappointing experience. Supply chain is a "thing" right now BUT my issues are not supply chain related. -Staff would not communicate with my Realtor about my concerns prior to closing -60 days later, they still haven't painted some areas in the front of my new home as well as numerous other issues -Landscaping not completed -Response to requests are slow (call backs) -Damaged flatwork still has not been scheduled but new flatwork is poured each day at other properties At the moment, I would not recommend Lennar....the multitude of issues has made what is an exciting experience a disappointing one. ... Communication fell off a cliff after purchase of home and could not contact team unless I physically drove out there. Deadlines were continuously missed and since moving in there have been many things falling apart that should not be. Trim is falling off, there are cracks EVERYWHERE in the drywall, we are still missing pieces to our home, our dishwasher broke the first time we used it and weve been told it will be months before it can be fixed. We moved into a new home to minimize issues with repair but every weekend we are fixing something that is broken. The only thing that makes this house enjoyable is who I spent it with but for the amount we spent the quality truly has missed the mark. Yes we did a walk through, but even with a walkthrough that took over an hour there was not enough time to catch the extent of the damages to the home even before we moved in. ... More

The sells guy was awesome, still, the house was late, the rate was changed even if we had lock it, and the landscape job of the house is terrible.
