Dan the salesman was great and worked well with us. The problems seem to be with corporate and their response to our concerns. We purchased the home while we were living out of state and across the country so we were not able to observe the progress on our home being built. However, there were certain benchmarks in the building process that Lennar wanted us to be there for. The first was the pre-drywall inspection/ orientation. I knew going in the house for the money is good workmeship not so good moldings sloppy doors don't fit properly, hoa rules to many restriction neighborhood is very nice.

Our sales representative and construction manager were very nice however you could tell there was too much on their plate. I constantly had to call to get updates. There was very little proactive updates sent to me. Quality of craftsmanship is embarrassing. Our new house orientation was a joke. We took 3 hours marking mistakes instead of going through how to manage our house.

We love David, our CM, and Caren was great! The purchase and loan process went smoothly for the most part, but when the house was being completed and after we have moved in, we have been very disappointed in the quality as well as the team that filled in for David when he was sick. In this market, we were too far in to be able to back out when we realized we had made the mistake. From the Sales Side: We've learned that there are so many in our community that were lied to from the beginning with regards to what was being offered and to what degree Lennar could change those terms through the course of construction and there's nothing you can do about it. Cutting too many corners, bathroom ceiling downlights that replace a $40 fixture with a $5 fixture but make it virtually impossible for the homeowner to come back and add proper lights. Elimination of any kitchen/breakfast lights and dining room light that are of really poor quality---in a half million dollar plus house. Then there are things like the carpet and padding which is of such poor quality that it has to be replaced in a couple of year, it is the lowest of the low end--wall paint where you can see the brush strokes because the painters watered it down so much to meet their budget ...

If buyin the home traditionally the company is good. However, we bought our home from out of state. The title company is horrible and does not do their job until it’s either very close or past due. I would rate them 0 out 5. Nothing got done with them unless I drove 1200 miles and walked into their office. The people who sell the home are great but once the home is purchased they aren’t very interested in helping with questions. The financial team is great. Initial meeting with sales rep was great. Told about 6 months to build. When signing purchase agreement, $10,000 was added to cost of lot and a tentative closing date of 8 months out. Although they really didn’t give a reason, I sensed they didn’t want to lock in a lower price knowing that it would take longer to build during supply chain shortage and labor issues. Actual closing date was backed up twice and ended up being 9 months and 2 weeks after singing purchase agreement. Very organized process at first, but only to assure Lennar's rights and exemption of liabilities and obligations. My honest feeling is that the purchaser means absolutely nothing for them in any sense. Whenever things go wrong in the process (and they often do), all the burden is automatically imposed to customer. Lennar is extremely inflexible. They request escrow deposits with many days in advance, but cancel closing dates unilaterally with no (or very short) notice. If you have any problem (with loan bank, appraiser or insurance company – and I had them all), problem is all yours… No help, ...

Problems didn't take long to occur; there were cracks on walls, which was the slightest issue of them all. They didn't build the plumbing correctly, causing the water from the bathroom to overfill, have builders come back and dig up the waterline outside. The dishwasher leaked multiple times, which was an appliance issue. The kitchen cabinet had a huge crack on the side and was fixed, but after fixed, the drawer wouldn't close properly. Homes are built with little to no pride of workmanship, just slap the homes up as fast as possible and any mistakes are overlooked or covered up with putty and paint.

The insulation around the house is terrible, we can hear everything from the outside. Construction process was very poorly inspected. Materials used are not the best quality as promise. I'm not confident that I bought a house that will last for a very long time.

the lack of quality control

I have purchased two homes from this builder and my first experience was definitely not a good one. The person in charge of my house could care less about the quality of work being done. It has caused me great stress in trying to get my house in the shape that it should have been from the moment I walked in. There's really to much to write. My second house my builder was much better. Still some issues which I'm in the process of having taken care of. Thank goodness for the gal helping me on both houses as she has been a god send. She is getting things done properly.

Home quality is in par but the overall process was just a nightmare. There is a lack of coordination between departments and as a seller i had to constantly follow up on the process. Mortgage was also a pain to deal with. Every person needed hand holding to get me to close. It maybe because we were one of the first few movers in the community but i hope they fix the process.

Incompetence, below average workmanship.

The house was flooded while under construction, seemingly due to lack of oversight that would have caught it before the damage was so extensive. We fear that we have mold that will affect us later. Delays in completion cost us a lot of money, part of which ($1,000) Chad with Lennar said we would be compensated for, this never happened.

The Pinnacle Plans were great but Lennar’s customer service, quality of work, and choices of contractors and materials used needs improvement. Everything was delayed, shuffled, and rushed to their benefit and not the customers.
