Quality Control

The entire experience was unpleasant. We have also had several big water leak problems. The warranty may cover the problems but does not cover lost wages or other expenses due to the issues. Highly recommend better quality control. They build them so fast that they miss a lot of things.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Mitchell, We’re truly sorry to hear that your overall experience has been an unpleasant one. That’s far from the standard we aim to uphold, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. If there are any outstanding warrantable items, we encourage you to submit a warranty service request through your Lennar account. This will help ensure your concerns are properly documented and followed up on by the appropriate team.

Need to be better with first time homebuyers

The day I signed the contract I was sadly given half correct information about possible helps like homestead and the agent incharge never answered my phone calls after I was passed down to mortage people. After that When I went to pick up my keys after signing there was no one at the comunity and had to wait 30 minutes for someone to arrive and hand me my keys! Lastly my house was dirty when I went in. They never did the last cleaning of my home. The only response I got was: “maybe someone got confused on the day you were closing” other than that I have a house.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Marie, Thank you for your honest review. We're disappointed to learn that your expectations weren’t met, as our goal is always to provide a positive and lasting experience. Moving forward, If there are any warrantable items, please submit a warranty service request through your Lennar account. The first walk through of the home I highlighted a lot of things that needed to be fixed. Second walk through was the same day as my closing day (very inconvenient) nothing was fixed. The home looked the same as the first walk through.

I am a 100% Disabled Combat Veteran with certain health issues. Everything was going great with the whole process home buying process, until after the closing. That's when it all fell apart. I wanted to fence in the very small backyard and have pavers put down before my family moved in. I have mobility issues when walking through grass so the pavers were the perfect choice. After closing I submitted my paperwork for the fence to be installed with the HOA. We'll, they contacted me and said they were waiting on the paperwork from Lennar. A week or so later with no call, I contacted ...

This is our second home with Lennar, and unfortunately, the experience this time was disappointing, especially with their financial services and closing process. There was no formal welcome or acknowledgment during the closing — not even a basic walkthrough or someone to greet us. For a repeat customer, this felt impersonal and careless. What made it worse was the complete lack of any gesture of appreciation. No closing goodies or even a simple thank you — something we had received before. This change made it feel like Lennar is now more focused on profits than on customer ...

The home buying experience was not pleasant. Our salesman was good, but when we had to deal with construction, things took a turn for the worse. This isn’t our first home, so we knew the process. When we pointed out flaws or issues, we were told, “this isn’t a custom home.” I wasn’t asking for one, but I was asking for quality work to be done. It doesn’t need to be a custom home for the workmanship to be up to par. The first woman that was assigned to us for quality control check was extremely unprofessional. While our initial sale person with Lennar was amazing, we quickly had bad experiences with everyone else. At first, our experience with Lennar was fantastic. The loan team moved quickly, and everything seemed to be on track. As active duty military members using a VA loan, we were led to believe that Lennar was coordinating directly with the VA on our behalf. However, after speaking with a VA loan agent, we learned that some of the documents Lennar requested from us should have been handled by them, not us. This raised serious concerns about their transparency and competence in handling VA loans. Despite our reservations, we moved forward. Throughout the process, the team was responsive and ...

Poor communication when I need something. When they want something from your lender or attorney, they are all over it. When it's time to do anything, they literally dictate and bully you on what they want done zero flexibility. Lennar hasn’t made this a great experience from the beginning. Why not just hire a company to do things right the first time, right? Our home needed many repairs right away, and it took quite a few attempts to get it corrected. We had taken multiple days off of work, to have nobody show up to our house to fix the issues. The closing was also less than expected. They were still asking for us to submit documentation post closing.. sounds like they didn’t have their ducks in a row-right? I would not recommend Lennar to anyone looking to buy a house.
