Lennar delayed the closing date due to shortage of materials,, however when we asked for an extension because of uncontrolled delay by the mortgage lender, Lennar sent me cancellation notice twice. They tried feverishly to take my home from me.

Lennar charged me an excessive daily fee for delayed closing beyond my control. The sales rep was callous and insensitive,. She tried very hard to take my home from me in order for Lennar a multi billion dollar company to benefit from the drastic increase in housing prices in the 8 months since I signed the contract which was before building began. I felt terrorized and victimized.. It was very traumatic

Just ok customer service from the entire staff, terrible service from their Lennar Mortgage though. I used to trust Lennar a lot, this was my 5th prop with them and never had these issues of poor customer service and hidden fees in mortgage and delays but this time it was not worth it. I only give less stars because of customer service, their people interactions and Lennar mortgage. Value for money and quality of house is good and there are no hidden surprises in cost and delivery.

There were a few items that did not appear to be installed correctly when we moved into our home. However, Lennar customer service is probably the best we experienced. Their reps are very polite, responsive and professional taking care of any little detail that comes up.

The entire friend end process to buying a home with Lennar was a nightmare dealing with Sandra, Amanda and their manager during the process to get approved for a loan. Had to be some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Steve Renshaw was the one exception to a breath of fresh air with his knowledge and professionalism. The home itself looked great and the project manager Dan was great to deal with. Upon moving in we've noticed a few more hiccups here and there, but overall satisfied with the home and neighborhood. They respond quickly to necessary repairs or maintenance

The builders were great, the mortgage people were great but the initial sales rep, Andy, was a pain to work with making the overall experience terrible. I had to run down answers to my questions on the status of my house/lot several times and when questioning what the hold up was I was only ever told no updates. For a first time home buying experience it was pretty terrible.

Overall experience was OK. We bought a spec home and we’re super frustrated that we were not able to make any upgrades. We wanted to pay more money and weren’t able to. Very frustrating.

My direct experience with Lennar has been quite good, with exception to their finance crew. There have been a few issues with the house, but all have been remedied.

The house is fine. The lending process with Lennar is a complete nightmare. It's never good when I'm forced to threaten with legal action while dealing with a loan officer. The closing date was stalled for 4 days due to Lennar's ineptness in this matter. I would definitely recommend using another finance group if you can get a decent rate.

The house itself is great but the buying experience was difficult. There was a 1 month delay in closing and when I requested to change lenders (more than 1 month before the new close date) I was denied and told I would lose the house if I changed lenders. This made the process more difficult because Lennar Mortgage was the absolute worst part of my buying experience.

Workmanship of the home could have been much better not so impress on how it was put together. Found to many defects backyard could have been leveled much better etc. Eagle Mortage office set me up for failure, informing and was written on my contract that HOA was paid monthly then I get a bill from spectrum stating I had a balance and a late payment fee added to my bill of $40. We had a very long drawn out purchasing experience through the loan application, both the FHA and Lennar’s conventional loan people. They were very impatient when they wanted information but otherwise slow in keeping us informed as to what was happening. They asked for information that was none of their business and eventually told me that if I did not give them the information that the loan would not be approved. This process took weeks. Bought a new home for my mother. Nice house but appraisal was far below the list price causing me to have to Mortgage insurance. The Mortgage company was horrible to deal with. Lied at every turn. Had to use an outside lender to get the deal done. Would never work with Lennar Mortgage company. Had a few cosmetic issues with the house that were fixed immediately.

Overall, my wife and I love our new home. But buyer beware, the sheetrock, painting and trim work sucks. Never realized we had to get our own garage door opener. Was told garage was paint ready, it's not. it's primer ready at best. Between giving first and second deposit, garage floor developed cracks. Was told it was within Lennar's tolerances, lol. Over all not great home buying experience. Customer service wasn’t great during purchase time. There was not much support in choosing option. Was rushed into everything. Home built is good but experience through out the process is very unfriendly. They just want to build home like factory and no respect or care for someone’s expectations and feelings who is spending 100s of thousands of dollars.

I purchased my home by the help of a virtual assistant (young eyes) and showed it was spacious, had a nice yard and the price range was good, but little did I know after moving, that this home was not meant for seniors/retirees due to the fact in order to replace the a/c filter you would need to pull down a step ladder, adjust it to secure it’s locked then climb up to the attic in order to replace the a/c filter. The Lennar team was really nice during the purchase process. It was too much electronic signing, not enough explanation of the entire process. At least with in person, paper signing of closing documents, important pages were explained. I got zero explanation of what I signed, no time to read through everything.
