After we move in we find a lot things needs to fix it, but because we didn’t catch when we inspect the house, now we have to summit a request and they make too hard to close. Too much stress

I had a very fast and efficient experience overall with Lennar. I was connected with multiple representatives throughout the process, and I especially want to highlight David in the New Braunfels location he is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and continues to be helpful even after the purchase by answering any questions I have. Ethan, the construction manager, was also very welcoming and supportive throughout the process. That said, there were a few areas that could definitely be improved. During the approval process, communication felt disconnected. Much of the process was handled online, and documents were often uploaded for signature with little to no explanation just a quick message asking me to sign. For something as important and complex as buying a home, more guidance would have been helpful. Closing was another area that lacked personal interaction. Aside from the notary, there wasn’t really anyone present to walk through the documents, which contained a lot of detailed financial information. It felt like we were expected to fully understand everything on our own, even though this isn’t our area of expertise. Thankfully, my realtor was there and did her best to explain things, but I strongly believe a loan officer should be present and actively involved during closing. On a positive note, the warranty department has been very responsive and quick to address and resolve any issues. Issues arise, I put tickets in. They get marked completed. Nothing‘s completed. The issues I had at my final walk-through still have not been done even though I’ve also put in more tickets and those have also been marked completed. I do not think there is insulation in parts of my house because the walls are paper thin I can hear people talking outside the vehicles on the road sound like I’m sitting in the road. I have a gas leak that has not been checked, even though I have made them aware. Also when they sent people to clean the house, they left the owners manual in the dishwasher and it burned on the heating element and two months later after scrubbing the dishwasher clean my dishwasher still smells horrific the initial individual that I was in contact with who was supposed to help me with any problems has completely vanished and will not return my messages or phone calls. The only reason I am giving some any stars is because there has been three individuals who have been overly kind but out of two fistfuls that is all. everybody else that I talk to just says oh I understand and nothing gets done and the HOA that I am paying an exuberant amount of money for is doing nothing in this neighborhood. There are cars parked all over the street. People’s yards are full of weeds trash cans are left out all the time and these are all things that should not be happening. ... More

Lennar worked with us to get our credit in shape to borrow a VA loan and purchase our home. We were able to close and move in quickly to save a month on our rent.

The new home buying process was very smooth and straightforward. Lennar team were helpful in explaining every step of the transaction. Provided clear instructions on home inspection and use of amenities and home features. Thank you Lennar for your great service!

The overall buying experience was stress free. All I came into contact with, from the Lennar team, were friendly and responsive.

The whole buying was just ok it’s after I bought my house that no one want to know me I had several issues spoke to many people in person none of them have been resolved very disappointed And because of this two other families that were interested in looking in here have now gone elsewhere

A generic boilerpate experience from beginning to end, having many rules and responses are usually NO. Cookie cutter with a few thrown in freebies to make you feel like you've received something for the money. My recommendation for buyers is do not buy any of the upgrades unless you absolutely require them upon move-in. Then when you want to add things, after close, the cost will be considerably less than what they offer through their third party design center during purchase. Their responses to problems are fantastic.... Though I wouldn't expect anything less based on the experience.

I would not recommend Lennar based purely off the customer service. I received my keys one week after closing, as it was the first time going to the investment house far from where I live. I entered the home and hot water is blasting in all sinks and tubs given it was also the weekend of a freeze. The builders opened all the faucets to protect the house, which is a good thing, however, I am having to pay the water bill for faucets that I did not open. And prior to even visiting the house. This is absolutely insane. I issued the water bill with exact times that the water was running to the office and they are only covering half of a $220 water bill, despite knowing I did not open these faucets. I should not be responsible for stuff prior to my visit to the new investment house. ... More

Our builder Scott assured us that everything would be fine. We even paid for our own private inspection. Not one item in the inspection was addressed despite being told it would be. Nothing in our home was thought about functionally. Poor quality materials that is super expensive and quickly built. You're not buying a home that was crafted. They don't even have basic necessities installed. We have dealt with issues with our HOA fees ( that was supposed to be taken care of the first year), to issues with poor painting. Poor electricity, uneven and brittle floors down to our fridge not being able to fully open. With the exception of a few customer service reps and a supervisor, lennar is untrustworthy... Lennar will drive you crazy signing the documents everyday till closing and after. I have signed 51 pages after that I guess I signed Several more documents in different days, Why they not sign one page that Buyer has no right/ all the rights is reserved by Lennar.

Matt and Erik were very helpful in executing the purchase and answering any questions we had either on the clock or off the clock. Still moving in and enjoying the new facilities as they arise. And, the golf course is in great shape and getting better every day.

From start to finish, our experience was extremely disappointing. The lender we worked with seemed inexperienced, struggled to answer questions, and appeared intimidated when faced with direct communication and strong personalities. There were also instances where a third family member—who had no involvement in the loan—was unnecessarily brought into the process, which felt unprofessional. Throughout the entire experience, there was a lack of clear communication and professionalism. As buyers, we often felt overlooked and not prioritized. The construction quality has also been a major issue. The workmanship feels rushed and careless, and we’ve been dealing with ongoing cosmetic problems since moving in. It’s frustrating to see what appears to be a lack of attention to detail from the construction crews, along with dismissive attitudes when concerns are raised. Overall, I would not recommend purchasing a home from Lennar based on our experience. There seems to be constant internal changes, and as homeowners, we felt pushed aside rather than supported. ... The home buying experience was fairly quick and painless, less than a 30 day turn around as we picked a model home. We moved back to IL from MO and like it much better here. House is very nice, new and fresh. Just what we were hoping for.

The whole process went very well, but things have changed from the last time we built a home. We love our new home. We bought it when it was framed up. The downside of that was that we couldn't make any changes without a HUGE financial cost. We couldn't go into the house without a Lennar person with us, which was very different for us. Everyone we dealt with was extremely responsive to us and the CM was so helpful going through our finished home with us before closing.

Our experience with Lennar was extremely disappointing, primarily due to poor communication throughout the entire process. From the beginning, our sales agent did not clearly communicate which homes were available, which made the search more difficult than it should have been. Communication issues continued even after closing. At one point, our main point of contact (the sales agent) left, and no one informed us we only found out after trying to reach them ourselves. As first-time homebuyers, we expected more guidance. Instead, we were often left to figure out next steps on our own, with little to no support when questions or situations came up. Before closing, we pointed out multiple issues during our walkthrough, but many of these were never addressed. At our 30-day walkthrough, we found that several of those same issues had still not been fixed or even properly documented in service cases. When contractors did come out, the problems were not resolved. Additionally, communication with our home care representative has been poor and unresponsive, adding to the frustration. While we are happy with the home itself, the overall experience was far from smooth or professional, and did not meet the expectations that were set. ... More

The best purchased I made. Everything is upgraded no need to upgrade. Love the big windows all around the house. It’s specious, it comes with high end appliances. They are easy to work with if you have issues with house, for example: an outlet not working. All you have to do is put in a maintenance order, Lennar service team will contact you and they will set up an appointment and fix the issue. Haven’t had a problem with them yet!

Amazing experience And easy to deal with.

This is a great community! And my house is a delight for me. It took about 4 months to make it what I would have wanted to be delivered on day 1 (i.e. some customization like pulls on drawers and cabinet doors, tall toilets, towel bars, washer & dryer, my preferred refrigerator, pull-out drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets, etc. You know, the things that make a house a home.) I haven't yet reported any issues for repairs because I'm saving them for a larger list. Most of those issues are minor. I'm hoping the responsiveness is top notch. Overall, I'm quite happy with the house.
