Going through the loan application process was horrible. Very unfriendly to people without a realtor. Rude and not helpful or responsive to questions. Given no information on this community on how to handle utilities, HOA etc. Person doing the house walkthrough gave misinformation multiple times on how to do things. I was told by two different people that they get me a list of paint used on home, nothing. Overall it was not a good experience.

Tankless stupidity....

Lennar choose to use Rannai Tankless water heaters. what they also CHOOSE to do was NOT include a way to control it with out a service call. NOBODY knew anything about the heater. NOTHING. After many hours of extreme frustration over 3 days and disbelief this is actually happening, Ryan came thru after learning what to do to get it running again. This was unnecessary frustration if Lennar has spent the $155 to install a controller to the unit, so thanks for that time wasted. Heres a tip... TRAIN your folks about the products you put in your homes. NOBODY could answer tankless question until ...

Its like buying a used car, over promise under deliver and the process is unnecessarily painful

We love the floor plan of the house, general layout an functions. We love the neighborhood too which is why we bought Lennar. Aside from those the experience was painful and exhausting. The amount of quality control I had to do on their work is unreasonable. Rarely could they provide straightforward answers and if something wasn't right they didn't have a path to escalate issues. You have to go find executives to complain to yourself. The design and marketing teams are top notch. They get you in the door and so excited but when it comes to sales and building you realize delivering is not ...

The number one selling point for this house was the backyard. On two occasions, Brittany told us our back yard was from the neighbors fence to our left to the neighbors fence to our right. During the initial showing we asked where the side boundaries were and she said we are “lucky because our neighbors have built fences and all we need to do was tie our fence to theirs”. My wife, myself, and our realtor all heard the same thing. Of course we all ooh’d and ahh’d about the backyard. During the walk through right before closing, she reiterated the same thing, which was again, heard by my wife, ...

Our sales agent was great when we first looked at the house and when we first signed the paperwork. After that everything went downhill. Our sales agent was no longer timely in responses and our Lennar Loan Agent was very unresponsive throughout the process to the point we went with an outside lender. He wasn’t explaining things as they were happening and just kept asking for more info anytime we reached out to check in on the process, this was the only time he talked to us. When the outside lender got us the loan and we presented it to Lennar we were told “well they got you the loan the same ...

After you sign the papers, there is no communication on the progress of your build. The attention to detail is none. Callbacks have to go through a warranty program, which can be a nightmare.

The price you pay for the product that you’re buying is adequate. But if you’re looking for just adequate no perfection or even close to a building standard, you’re wasting your money. No communication skills during the build process. Attempting to get the punchlist fixed is a nightmare. Due to the fact, you have to go through a warranty service as they put it to get things done. I cannot in good faith recommend Lennar to anyone that’s purchasing a property.

Financial didn’t return calls. Builder didn’t return calls. Disappointed about cabinets in both model home and virtual tour left out. Tried to contact before walk through no return call. Accepted $500 to do myself. They seen me coming as this is still a big ordeal to get cabinets put in and way more expensive, so I am experiencing. Very disappointed that experienced people would put an old lady through this. Miss represented to make the sale. I would warn potential Buyers given the chance. Wasn’t treated very well by any Department with the exception of the guy that did the walk through with ...

Lennar Home Buying Experience

I had a horrible experience with purchasing my Lennar home utilizing Lennar Financial for the offered perks. I wish I would've just used my own funding as originally planned. I had zero communication from Lennar Financial - Leslie Ramirez and my out of pocket projecting closing costs were $5,000 under projected which was a huge inconvenience for me. The structure/home itself is great. I wish the home sales consultants and Lennar Financial had better customer service. For these huge reasons, I would not recommend Lennar.

While we have found the home to be exactly what we were looking for the overall experience was a struggle. The lack of communication during the process was astounding. We were asked to provide the exact same information multiple times as if the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. Even to the point after signing the closing papers and in the process of moving, we did not know if we could have the "keys" to the new home that day. Fortunately at the end of the day everything worked out and we did get our dream home and look forward to many years to come.

After our 3rd party inspection the construction super assured us all of the items would be addressed by closing inspection. Half were not. It took weeks for him to address the deficiencies after closing. I had to contact him multiple times to have the repairs addressed. One item is a tilted roof vent. The construction inspector contacted the roofing company and they said, "It is good enough." I expected Lennar to hold their contractors responsible for quality workmanship and fight for the home buyer. They did not. Every time I pull in the driveway I see the tilted the roof vent and it makes ...

When we walked the development before choosing Lennar we looked at lots, and noticed construction development and home quality. One thing we noticed is all the homes had Carrier heat pumps. When we came down to walk for inspection we were given a different brand of heat pump. Lennar has now gone back to Carrier for the remaining 15 lots in the neighborhood. There are 2 lots with the cheaper brand heat pump ours and one other out of 90 homes. When we spoke to the sales team we were told the contract language allows them to use different vendors. They are right that is what the contract ...

I like my new Lennar home, exept for one issue: I signed a contract on my house, which is the Carson model, based on the model which I saw. It was beautiful, and the refrigerator and cabinetry in the kitchen were perfect. I didn't get to see the actual home I had purchased until after I signed. I assumed the refrigerator and cabinetry would fit like the model. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the kitchen and saw a big gap between the top of the refrigerator and the cabinetry above- about a 15 inch gap, with all unfinished wood exposed. My salesman explained that Lennar had decided to ...

We bought a calusa. Multiple construction issues were addressed eventually but if built properly and there had been any quality oversight would never have been present when I purchased the house. Be very careful. There is no oversight on construction and things are rushed and poorly done. I am worried about what I did not find.

Fantastic experience until signing of purchase agreement. Communication from Lennar new home sales consultant was primarily limited, ambiguous and reactive throughout the building phases. Issues prior to closing left incomplete with no follow up. Construction issues discussed on closing day remain outstanding after two months. Warranty service items are not readily available for homeowners to view once submitted. Warranty service items slow to be resolved.

Had a bad experience with buying the home through Lennar. Had to go through another outside source to buy the home. Didn’t get any amenities from Lennar on buying a home because we didn’t use them at closing. Got the keys about 3 hours after closing.

It was hard to get a home through Lennar especially if you are elderly and moving from another state like Louisiana. If you don’t have a job or money enough that can show that you can afford it. You might be disappointed unless you can find a good realtor who can help you through the process. Otherwise good luck.

The overall quality for the price paid was very disappointing. The AC unit was not set up correctly and leaked in our ceiling, the trim was not straight on almost all walls, paint was splattered on our new floors and stained. The floors have nail pops and bumps, and the walls have many pops and cracks already. I would not purchase another Lennar home unfortunately. Great customer service but poor quality home.

I encountered many issues during my entire home buying process. The only highlight was my original representative when I first visited the new subdivision. Most of my issues stemmed directly from my mortgage loan officer not responding to my messages, and even giving my wife and I the wrong loan number. I’m in a fortunate position where most of my coworkers are in the process of buying homes and am able to steer them away from Lennar.

My husband and I recently purchased a new home from Lennar, we were very excited about our new home until move in day. We were told the home would be cleaned prior to move in by the general contractor, that was not done the place was so dirty I had to clean for 3 days before we could even live in it. all the floors and carpet had paint and grout residue all over, cabinets were full of debris from construction and one of the toilets had been used and never flushed. Our thermostat and HAVC system quit working after 5 weeks and when I called Lennar i was told that it was not covered by the ...

Good starter home that is priced better than most other new construction in the area. But, upon closer inspection, there’s always small problems that aren’t major dealbreakers but always a nuance. Customer service is not much better. Online portal to submit requests, disjointed team that doesn’t communicate well with one another. Work orders that drag on for what seems like an eternity. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re able to find a good deal elsewhere.

More financial info we tried and tried to obtain it but my husband had just retired and his statement wasn’t goi g to be able to be reviewed for approximately 2-3 weeks . 2 days before closing we were told we probably were not going to be able to even though we were led to believe we already had provided everything needed . Two months after closing the punch list is still 20+ items long. Sometimes a tradie stops by to fix a single blue tape flag but at a rate of 2 "fixes" a week this is going to take a long time to get the home I paid for in February.
