Buying a Lennar home has been the worse experience of buying a home, and I have bought several homes. From the lender process to resolving build issues has been a disaster. I filed a repair request after closing and it has now been 3 weeks and the issue still is not resolved. The repair has not been scheduled yet for it to be corrected. I would encourage people to be careful when dealing with Lennar.

I will not be buying another house from Lennar - ever again. The entire house buying process was stressful, which is to be expected, but our loan officer, Sandra, seemed to be especially quite incompetent. Throughout the process, there were various hiccups and even errors made in numbers. We did not trust Sandra at all and thankfully things were caught because we reviewed everything multiple times. We purchased a 6-year-old model in bad shape, Lennar didn't correct every warranty item, just a few of them. They refused provide information and keys to the home. Therefore, we needed to locksmith and get new lock and keys for $340.00, and same the pavers we did them for $250,00 in Nov. 2024. But Lennar never repaid us.

To be perfectly honest, I feel as though Lennar does not want to have any direct contact with the buyer. The entire experience has left us underwhelmed. Buying the home was rush rush and we had no time to hire an inspector which has created many problems for us as I believe most issues would have been found or we wouldn’t have bought the home. I would not recommend anyone to Lennar. Quality issues and an electric water heater that sounds like a compressor. Electricity bill 4xs the amount of my neighbors. Ridiculous experience.

Mediocre workmanship, fast finish to meet their deadline, which meant even more corners were cut. Painting over light switches, bad wood stain on the railings. Overall pretty cheap looking. Plus the closing experience with Lennar Mortgage was a disaster. I would not buy another Lennar home.

Lenner drives to be a builder who cares about buyer experiences and this has hired buyer concierge and new home celebrations etc, but in really it doesn’t matter and the same old working model and vendor management is in place. Construction Manager pushes things to vendors and don’t follow up properly to ensure the issues are taken care off. New home celebration guy just shows up to make paint touch ups. People put hard earned money into these investments - do you think it is a joke?

They were incredibly convincing until we passed the time with our earnest money. They stated that Lennar cared, and even though they generally don’t install radon mitigation systems, they would take care of their customers. They didn’t. The level on our home was the equivalent of smoking 80 cigarettes per day And we have two children, and children are 10 to 12 times more likely to develop cancer due to radon exposure. I should have stayed at Oltoff builders in Clover grove! First walk through problems not taken care of, second walk through problems still not taken care of. This is our 5th new home build. The care and attention to detail is by far far and away the worst in this home. If I were a trades person, I would be embarrassed to leave a job that looked like many of the "finished" work in this house. my wife and i thought the materials were very poor. we were told we are getting a certain package, but it was not explained that it would be at the very bottom of the packages. the kitchen has 2 drawers and that's it. we are very disappointed in what we bought. i would never ever buy a Lennar home again. people ask me what i think of these homes and all i can tell them is they are cheap.

My Lennar loan officer lied about the incentive. It left a sour taste in our mouth. It was too late to walk away so we had already wrapped up at our previous place. It was not until we asked for final number (the breakdown for cash to close was not provided until we pressed for it) where the lie came out. It explained why they did not want to provide us with the number until the last second.
