I think if you go into buying a home from Lennar with lowered expectations, you'll be OK. The construction quality is average. Not terrible but definitely a little sloppy. For example: I can feel several clumps of dried drywall mud under my carpet (Lennar's suggestion was to get a mallet and try to pound the clumps through the carpet until I can't feel them anymore), installation damage to wiring and appliances, the yard was full of leftover construction debris, and when they were repairing one of my walls and removed the drywall you could see the space behind the wall had a bunch of ...

Shoddy workmanship.

Make you understand the HOA regulations. People with two and three cars aren’t “qualified” for a townhouse. Garages are for cars. They aren’t storage bins. Garbage cans are everywhere as are cars.

Customer Service has not been good.

I love my house and the development, but the issues I have submitted to Lennar, which includes water coming in under my garage door, loose front door lock system and cracked board where my 2 car garage door is attached have not been addressed and I contacted Lennar customer service over a month ago. With a few days, a representative came out and took pictures of the areas of concern and now will not respond to emails, etc. and nothing has been corrected. Other issues right after my house purchase have given me a big lack of trust in Lennar.

Inspect your new home on your first walk through and final walk through. Don’t sign off until EVERYTHING and anything you want fixed or changed is done. If you sign off and then complain later their responds will be, “ You signed off on the home.” Take a contractor you trust to inspect the home prior to signing off.

We were able to get all the upgrades that we wanted in our home but we were disappointed with the size of the lot and the “lot upgrade fee” we were told that we would be facing our neighbors backyard so it would be from back yard to backyard but when the house went up half of my yard is covered by their home, their windows look right in to our yard and upstairs we are almost face to face. A lot of the things on the inside were not put on right, the cupboards doors keep getting loose, the lights keep loosening from the ceiling, there are “settling cracks” on the wall. great design of the single level home but poor workmanship

We love the house itself. We were disappointed that Lennar only installed 1 outside hose spigot in the middle of the enclosed patio and also 1 "inside" of the garage. Both are difficult to use. We had to spend a lot of money to trench the side yard to install water to the back yard. The grading in the back was terrible and we, again, had to pay quite a bit to grade it before landscaping. Lots of small things were wrong and at first the response to fix them were quick, and now we just wait and wait until someone corrects other issues. Lennar will make you feel great upon buying your home and they’ll offer a one year warranty on any defect. Initially, Lennar will be responsive to warranty requests. However, it comes with a catch. You’ll quickly realize the warranty is offered because Lennar is aware of the poor workmanship and materials that go in to their homes. After a couple months, customer care will abandon you as they move on to other new homes. As of today, we have a dead tree and shrubs in the front yard that Lennar planted and has not addressed. A few things to list 1) Paint contractors miss many spots and the exterior paint has weak spots where they spaced the spraying 2) Faucets in downstairs bedroom and master bedroom leak onto counter if left at a lower valve setting. Lennar stated that this was within spec. Having to buy faucets that actually are long enough to not flood bathrooms. Should not be buying things to fix Lennars issues. 3) Floors are starting to gap and flex quite a bit. After buying the home we had items that needed to be fixed. Our home rep Tom would never respond to our concerns or give us times when we could expect things to be fixed. Only after three emails asking him who was above him that we could talk to did he respond to us and after 4 months the items got fixed.
