To be fair to the builder, my ratings above are based on not having experienced having a production home built for me. I was expecting some interaction with the builder during the construction process: there was effectively none, it was discouraged. I believe to have a better understanding now why that is the case. Lennar does not build the home; one of the many subcontractors do in a very organized, time efficient manner. However, I believe the quality of materials and, particularly, workmanship suffer. House is a good value for the money, but the issue is that nothing in the house was functional of done correct. Light fixtures don't work, I have to hire an electrician to correct them. No crown molding, all exterior light fixtures are loose. Nothing was ready on time. Water main broke on the side of my house and toilets overflowed all over my floors. I am very disappointed. House looks good on outside but beware of how things are put together on the inside. Shoddy craftmanship.

They really don’t put effort in making a home feel “new” there are too many things that need adjusting. There was even some major things. The people who come in to fix the issues don’t show up on time nor do they respect your home and just try to make it look “good enough”. The walls are also way too thin.

Lennar failed to deliver home on the date of escrow closing

On the date of escrow closing on 1/30/23 we supposed to get the keys to the home after the final walk through at 10am. Lennar made us wait the whole entire day then they finally handed us the keys after 7pm. We have purchased several brand new homes with various builders but never experienced such escrow problems. It was a shock to us that Lennar hardly fixed anything since the first walk through. The lennar mortgage was terrible. No other way to put it. It wasn't just one person. The house is very nice, but not built well. For a house of this price I would expect better craftsmanship. Specifically the quality assessment. The house sounds like it's 50 years old when you walk around. I continue to find more poor build quality.

I was very excited when I came to the development and chose to purchase a new home. In the beginning everything moved very quickly. Then it stalled. No updates, rare interaction when I reached out first. My closing date was pushed a few times, which I understand is to be expected - but I would have preferred honesty over BS. Communication Nightmare

I purchased my Florida home from out of state, Maryland, therefore it was imperative, to have good communication in the building process. The entire process was stressful. They were "accommodating" but only after I said I would not be purchasing the agreed upon house. The closing process itself was a nightmare. I had to ask off 4 different days from work for the closing date because it was always up in the air. Living here for about a month, I still find subpar elements in the home. The home was NOT Move-in-Ready when we did the final walk. Far too many outstanding issues that needed to be fixed and are still NOT fixed! Sloppy paint and caulking job throughout the home. Missing all bathroom fixtures...they were deleted by Lennar without informing their Customers under contract. We have NO light fixtures above the sinks! Unbelievable!! Once Lennar has your money, they are terrible with follow through on punch list items and anything else spotted after closing to do the proper repairs. Have to chase them and argue non-stop. Make sure not to close on your home until all issues are resolved beforehand!

They are a big builder that took advantage of California real estate boom, built too fast and not great quality. Their communication and responsiveness is incomplete.

During the home buying process there was not a lot of communication. I contacted the loan officers to ask for the stages of my loan multiple times. I never really knew what was going on and there was times I wasn’t able to get in contact with them. I felt very lost in that process which was hands down the most stress part of the home-buying process. The house came with really great appliances which I appreciate. Overall I do love my new home.

This is my 2nd & last Lennar home purchase. The quality of the workmanship was beyond horrible this time around and this home cost was $90k more than the 1st one. I've lived in apartments where the attention to the builders detail way surpassed the work of Lennar & their Trades. They do not care about attention to detail. Though the process was relatively quick the communication throughout the entire process needs work. I did have a third party inspection on my home and thankfully it was mostly cosmetic issues but there was a lot of sloppy work done on the home and some of it had to be redone prior to closing. The concrete driveway and sidewalks are sub-par and very sloppily done. They did a bad patch job where they chipped the concrete when removing the forms. Well, the first week of living in the house, a lot of nails on the rug that my wife got cut on her feet. Another issue is where you put the towels broke off and most of them are loose. I try contact the person in charge of the warranty, but never got back to me. I’m missing a screen on my second floor. They never got back to me again about it there’s a lot of minor issue, but no one has got back to me

What should have been avery happy experience has been a frustrating and disappointing time! I'm very disappointed in Lennar and would struggle to recommend this builder! It's obvious they rushed to get our home completed and we are dealing with multiple.

I would not recommend this home buying experience! Workmanship is not good and many things have to be resolved after moving into the new home. Stressful and disappointing situation! It's obvious Lennar is putting up homes as fast as possible and not caring about the finished product. I think after all things are resolved, we are hoping to love our new home. I just wish we didn't have to go through this process. The initial walk through should be a better experience as well as the day of closing. There are ways to make this experience better.

Lack of workmanship is overwhelming. My laundry room ceiling is unfinished because they installed the AC unit before finishing the ceiling. Now I’m being told they can no longer do anything about it. Some of the numerous items on the punch list were not completed before closing and now I’m expected to oversee the completion. All that was needed was a Certificate of Completion to make us close. Our unit was in no way ready at closing and feel that Lennar took advantage of the situation.

The home I got was absolutely not ready even 4 days before the closing date, and even after closing there were a bunch of details to iron out, garage door wouldn’t open, poor paint job, huge stains on the floor. We have been left with numerous issues since the day of closing and it has been a month and a half of poor communication and constant follow up to try to get them resolved. We had a rough experience from start to finish. I highly recommend being patient with the team as behind the scenes; they are working with a whole town of issues from third parties errors and neglect. I feel it's more on the contractors than Lennar themselves. Rest assured, Tony from our area has empathy and will work hard to make sure the issues get resolved. It takes some time.
