After living in the home for a few months we have found the level of craftsmanship to be below average. The yards they put in are already weed filled and we have had landscape companies advise the sod needs removed the soil needs treated and yard will need re sodded if we want to have a lawn however they stated that with the neighbors lawns being as bad and worse than ours it’s going to be a never ending battle. Also, the drywall finish is a joke. We have removed all ceiling light fixtures and use only lamps because the ceilings are an embarrassment I hate to even have people in the spare ...

Poor tile work. Cheap paint and carpet. Fit and finish work awful. The smart home features are nice, however I've been informed that they are not included anymore.

Keeping promises on construction of amenity

When we purchased in October of 2018 we were told community amenity would be completed by November 2019. Now we are told that Lennar is negotiating to re-purchase the development company which they sold last October because new developer now says they will not complete community. Stalemate has been going on for at least three months. No date provided for amenity completion or even a commitment to build at this point. Unacceptable performance by Lennar.

During the contract phase of the purchase we inquired about the HOA documents. They were sent to us and we signed the contract based on those documents. We went to closing with the understanding that we could build a fence based on the styles offered in the HOA documents and found out that we were given the wrong HOA documents. Lennar offered no recourse to this issue. Had we been given the correct information prior to signing a contract we would have chosen a different community. Our yard wasn’t properly graded which caused flooding in our basement multiple times within the first two months. They crashed a bobcat into our house and took a long time and multiple requests to fix the damage. They didn’t put enough dirt down and sodded over straight rock in some areas... the list goes on. Apparently Lennar is too big of a company to take pride in doing the the job right.

Missing outside light at street

Throughout the entire process we had to keep contacting Lennar for updates. When contractors showed up at our house they rarely knew what to do. The quality of work was not great, paint dabs on the floor etc

We purchased a new build Lennar home. We loved the layout of the house and the community is just what we were looking for. So, put up with the months of construction delays (not all of Lennar's fault) which forced us to live in a campground for 3 months. We moved into a very dirty house, It was not cleaned well after construction. Dust on all the walls, showers, counters and cabinets. The floor tile was not cleaned either. We were very excited to have Lennar build our new home. However, we encountered many obstacles and were pretty much told deal with it or find another location to build. Warranty items take time to rectify. In the end, we have a beautiful new house that we hope to enjoy for years to come.

The home itself, as of today, is a solid house. Do the cabinet doors sit at slightly different heights? Yes. Are some of the angles a little off? Sure. But totally within the price expectations. However, the communication and process was terrible. Delays, failure to communicate said delays until 3 days before closing, no one seems to have answers and half the people I talked to took a while to get back to me, if at all. Glib company line apologies didn't do much to improve it. Worth it? Because i'm here already, absolutely. Would I do this again? No thanks.

Our sales director was amazing, he kept us posted on everything and helped to get our house color changed even after they originally said no. Lennar corporate does not have proper handoff between Lennar builder, sales team, Lennar Mortgage and Lennar Home insurance causing the buyer to run through multiple hoops to provide the same information. Transparency especially with Lennar Mortgage team is very limited and is the cause for a lot of frustration with the overall buying process.

Bad experience with the construction manager

We had a bad experience with the construction manager in charge. The house wasn't ready to move in because it had too many things to repair after three visits. They didn't follow up on what needed to be repaired. We moved in and realized that the kitchen tiles still hadn't been repaired. They told us it was too late and we had to call the warranty company, even though it was on the previous list. The warranty people told us they weren't going to repair it because we accepted the kitchen tiles as they were. They tricked us, and no one took responsibility. I will start off by saying that this was, and is, the best option for our new home based on the location and certain criteria we wanted. Our salesperson, Connie, was great and genuinely always responsive and we appreciate everything that she did along to make things happen. However, Lennar's website advertised a variety of customization options, but none of those were available (fireplace, sprinkler system, basement bathroom rough in etc.). The referred services vendors are worst: 1. Solar company did not set up solar account until today, which is around 3 months already; 2. trash services slow, not on time, expensive; 3. electricity expensive than SCE; 4. window design weird, flies coming in during nights frequently; 5. the financing process frustrated.

Not the best experience. The buying process, going through the closing was terrible. Lori and Andrea NEVER answer phones, they’re rude when you ask them questions. I’m glad that the process is over, however I don’t think I’ll ever refer anyone to build a home with Lennar.
