If I could do it all over, I would have gone with a different builder. The quality of the home is not good. I continue to find issues and warranty reps are not helpful. I was told one thing during my walk and now I am being told something different as far as what is covered.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon, Anica, we’re sorry to hear that the quality of your home did not meet your expectations. We hope that moving forward, we can provide you with a better Homeowner experience. Our brand new home, built in 2025, was built without internet connectivity. Today, nearly two months following our closing, we still have a fiber cable running through our driveway in order to have internet/cable services. Lennar hasn’t lent even a single phone call in helping us get it resolved. Additionally, every time we use the oven we blow a breaker. We’ve put in warranty requests and for 3+ weeks we’ve been waiting for somebody to contact us to address the issue. Crickets….

Lennar responded:
Good morning Robert, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the concerns you’ve experienced, including breaker issues. This is not the experience we aim to provide. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, and we hope to earn back your trust as we work to provide you with an improved homeowner experience. We were so thrilled to purchase our new home with Lennar. We had a lot of issues and the construction manager at the time was not truthful with us. We had over an inch of water standing in our basement after the drywall was installed and he said we only had a few puddles. It ended up that Lennar had to hire a restoration company to come in and found a lot of mold in our walls. It was eventually taken care of. Then when we moved in and the craftsmanship of the house is sub par. Door frames are not level and poor quality with walls. I could go on but this experience has been not stellar ...

Good afternoon Carol, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry your homebuying and construction experience did not meet expectations and understand how frustrating these issues must have been. We’re glad the restoration work was completed, and we appreciate your feedback on craftsmanship. Construction Defect and Lending Errors — My Experience With Lennar

My experience with Lennar revealed serious issues in both their lending partner process and the quality of the home’s construction, and buyers deserve to be aware of these problems. Lending Experience: Lennar’s preferred lender made repeated and unacceptable errors during my loan process. They entered my name wrong and my address wrong on multiple documents—basic information that shouldn’t be difficult for any competent mortgage professional. After seeing several mistakes on fundamental paperwork, I lost all confidence in their ability to handle a home loan accurately or securely. I had ...

There were several areas that need attention in my home buying experience. 1- I noted to the seller representative that the address was wrong on official documents. They stated that it was only on their documents and not an issue. I repeated that my concern was that the address was registered wrong with the city. I was repeatedly told this was not the case. In the end, it was the car and the seller had to reach out to the city to correct the address. 2-the kitchen cabinets where damaged on approximately 50% of the doors. Lennar attempted to repair the damage using an abrasive pad. When I ...

I’m having bad experiences with Lennar. Take forever to fix the master shower room. And now, they excuses that the guys come to fix the shower room don’t have enough training. If he don’t, how come Lennar didn’t hiring someone have full training? Or all your employees have no license to build the home? I’m very upset when they told us they if willing to accept the money and they will not come to fix the shower room that broken!

If you want to pay high dollar for a cheap build with corners cut everywhere you look - buy a Lennar home. They don’t even paint (or prime) the ceilings. The things we’ve discovered after it was too late have continued to pile up and cost us over $10,000 in upgrades that should have been standard for a home of this price within the first 2 months. Stay away.

The home itself is okay. Clearly the construction crews do not take great pride in their work or craftsmanship, as we had a leak in the roof within 2 weeks of closing. It took almost a month to get that fixed, but alas, it is squared away. Getting responses from folks can be difficult, too. On one occasion after we closed, we had the construction crew for a different property using our external faucet for some reason (have it on our security cameras). Closing itself was a nightmare as they did not get the certificate of occupancy in time. It seems this is probably par for the course in ...

Still have blue tape from QA/QC department all ovef my walls. CM never took notes during final walk-through and failed to do any of the punchlist items. Window clips were thrown on my counter and not installed (told me they were a courtesy and not required). Lied to my sales rep about insulation over garage. Outlets don't work. Paint overspray everywhere. Weather stripping I can see day light through. Metal Studs, vs wood. Copper clad aluminum wiring. $500mm for a cheaply built.

I regret buying this home. Every single day, I regret it. There are so many hidden poor craftsman issues that I find. Because of that it creates even more headaches for everyone. Customer service people on the phone are very rude as well. Lennar building homes look nice for a week. There is little attention to detail which leaves the final product looking shabby. Many issues that were identified during the walkthrough were never addressed despite several reminders. Electrical issues were not corrected - let's see what happens when I submit a warranty claim. My experience with Lennar has been very disappointing from the very beginning. The construction manager has refused to acknowledge or address the issues I raised during the construction period. He has not been willing to fix or even properly consider the problems. The landscaping is extremely poor, making my backyard completely unusable.
