Community green spaces and amenities never completed and issues take forever to get resolved

We and 50-60 of our neighbors were all promised beautiful finished green spaces and a tot lot when we were in the sales process. Lennar never finished these and apparently has no plan to. Other neighborhoods have beautiful amenities for the same HOA cost we do. Different builders who keep their promises. We will have to hire legal council and go through mitigation for breach of the sales agreement as we were all told the same things and our neighborhood is not up to par. Items take FOREVER to be fixed on my home. We have had 3-4 people who are supposed to fix things. Why so many? Can ...

I completed a scathing review of Lennar 5 months ago. I will summarize. I consider Lennar the worst home builder I have ever worked with and I have moved 39 times. Your prime motivator is speed , not quality. Your workers take no pride in their work and do not respect the work of others. I did not rate you in trustworthiness as I have no way to measure this, and of course your survey required an answer to submit.

We just recently bought a home in Rosena Ranch from a Lennar community. Since we've moved in, we have had to call service quite a few times for issues that should not be happening in a new home. For example, our handrail on the stairs are already having separation from the wall. It is under warranty and will get fixed, but it is very inconvenient especially because the contractors have to schedule so far out. These things should not be happening in a new home. I don't know if I trust Lennar's workmanship. The backyard was done very cheaply as well and all the neighbors complain about the ...

Our advisor was very knowledgeable but unfortunately, he had a family emergency during our home buying process from the very beginning and was told to contact 2 other Lennar reps if we had any questions. They were no help at all. Never let us know what was going on and never returned calls. This was the most crucial time as we were in the actual home buying process. When we moved in, we had quite a few issues with things around the house and to get those things fixed it was just a nightmare. Lennar ignores you and does about half of what you ask for

Lennar’s house plans are very well done for modern living. Materials are as advertised. Home care warranty is practically worthless. And their people can be spiteful if you get upset with their poor service.

The workmanship was poor. Lots of issues to attention to detail. When I complained, the construction managers response was that the brand new home was meant to be lived in. That response floored. I would not buy from Lennar again.

I had a 1-2 week repair service in the bathroom. Due to systemic problems with the warranty department it took 4 months to complete. I had to file a BBB to get their attention.

Need Quality Control

My roof is leaking, light switches don't turn on anything, shower glass wall not sealed, air conditioning not cooling upstairs, basement walk out drain not draining well, water coming into basement. New construction needs a quality control staff to test everything in house for working order.

Poor Customer Care after Closing for Warranty Issues

Home not completed after closing, slow or non responsive warranty claim. Poor contractors doing substandard workmanship. Promised amenities and recreational areas not completed as promised by sales rep. Materials are OK but workmanship is horrible.

Don't expect your house to be built of the same quality as purchasing from single person or smaller company. You can end up with a good home as long as you're willing to go through the battle of dealing with warranty work. We had a good experience with our second sales rep and our warranty service.

Sales Person and Warranty Rep were good and professional. Overall it was a mediocre to poor experience. I think Lennar's extremely inflexible polices along with their "anything to gouge out a buck" corporate greed mentality make it hard to rate it a good or great experience.

The aboslute worst Mortgae experience in my 76 years. I have owned and applied for mortgages on 9 homes. This company does not know what they are doing. Buyer beware... I have an 844 credit score, and hundreds of thousands in liquid assets and the Mortgage "agents" made the process extremely time consuming and painful...Asking for the same documentation MULTIPLE TIMES...Potential buyers seek your mortgage elsewhere!!!~

Lennar lies and has poor planning. Throughout the buying process, Lennar promised that there’d be landscaping by Lennar or the HOA in a certain key area that was influential in our buying decision. After taking possession of the house, Lennar deflected to the HOA. The HOA which is owned by Lennar outright refused any landscaping. The area in question remains rocks and trash - a permanent blemish on the neighborhood. Due to poor planning by Lennar, 2 months after moving into this house we still don’t have mail service. Was not made aware of lack of cable and fiber optic prior to contract. Hoses and sprinkler system was left behind after sale. Underground sewage drain pipe was cracked, before we moved in. not have HOA management contact info. Attorneys selected by Lennar didn't calculate the correct funds needed at closing, so we had to return later to sign another document and bring more money.

Well when signing the papers they had one that was a charitable contribution that was going to come out of my pocket when I sold that. Our welcome to the community began with not being able to find our keys the day we arrived here from Michigan. It went south from there. Very slow response to any contacts we made. We asked about some electrical work being done and were told we had to get it taken care of ourselves. So we asked (at least three times) if someone could refer us to a local electrician. That was in July—still no referrals. In short, we felt and still feel very ‘unwelcome’ and would not suggest friends and family follow in our footsteps.
