If I wouldn't have lost my deposit I would have backed out of this purchase. I visited the home site just about every week during construction. I was always finding discrepancies and poor workmanship. They would fix just enough to appease me but it was still just the minimum. A crack in the slab almost all the way across from one side to the other, crooked wall plates, waves in the walls, loose studs, gaps in the sheathing, poor scarf joints in the molding, the list goes on. Financing was great experience. However, I wasn’t pleased with being told the HOA was not going to be an issue-I’ve still not been able to get my approval and the HOA sends out warning and threats weekly. You shouldn’t lie to prospective buyers. I also am not satisfied with the materials used -such as fence materials and glass shower doors or the cheap plastic bath tub/shower stall. Not to mention a “hybrid “ water heater that doesn’t heat at all. I now need to spend $5000 to change it out. My side yard is exposed to the public- who regularly throw trash on my yard and dog poop. House is built cheap-I had to epoxy garage floor because lennar won’t fix it-that cost ME $2500-and the air conditioner-heater is not proper size for this size house-it’s not big enough- and that was documented by house inspector!floor tiles have lots of chips etc.etc

Emphasis more on getting the contract signed without proper inspection and taking responsibilities for resolving client's issues. My property had a number of poor finishes and uncompleted snag list of items. This was left for me to arrange post move-in. In addition, I had electrical issues which I was not adequately supported for resolution even though this was a know issue according to the electrical engineer who later fixed the issue. I still have issues to be resolved once I have time to organize it. My experience was a terrible one and would not like it to be repeated.

Staff showed signs of incompetence, lies were told about the readiness of the property, loan officer was a fast talker, and often was delayed in response, closing attorneys were big liars and incompetent, onsite realtors told several small lies ( not Malcom). I’d never go with Lennar again or recommend. Emily is great! Promote her.

Customer service is not good. The master bedroom shower is useless with no tap at the bottom and sliding glass door is hard to clean. The master bedroom wic is literally in the corner you have to walk through the bathroom to get there and there is no power outlet in it. I told my desire what type of home I am looking for but the Lennar team was very cold. They didn't help me to find my first home to be my dream home. I wish it could be my dream home. Do not use Lennar mortgage. Maybe it was just my loan officer but phone calls weren’t returned. Emails not answered and I was told I was getting money back at closing. Then I wasn’t. Then I was. I was told to put 10% down but it turned out it should only have been 5%. Then I was told PMI had to have insurance on it in order to get it cancelled if I paid it off early. Then I was charged $7000 for it. Go to any other lender. Not lennar lending.

The construction and quality of build was exactly as expected. The financing promised was misleading and in the last 30 days before closing I was forced to find a new lender. The recommended “sister” company handed things off to a new associate who constantly asked for items he already had access to. Additionally they blatantly lied to me regarding their efforts to verify employment which delayed underwriting who then changed the loan terms right before closing costing me around $10,000 over the life of the loan. My advice is to find your own financing and avoid the headache.

We felt very rushed through the entire experience, Lennar mortgage dropped the ball on numerous occasions and left us wondering if the transaction was going to close. Loan process was good..home buying agents did not tell the truth and lead you to believe false home releases. Multiple callout provided on Poor workmanship, Finally the Construction Manager, said that is the design of Lennar and they have seen the pattern in all houses. The design of structure is poor. On the day of closing , got the key and opened the door with lots of dreams, happiness and excitement, shattered into pieces looking at the with so much dirt. Called the construction manager, sales manager and they were not available. Latter received the call saying he personally check and house is clean. This is the quality Lennar provides.

Buying a home should be an exciting time, but after a life-sucking buying experience the excitement is long gone. We were lied to by the community representative. Multiple issues with the lender.
