We purchased a house from Lennar that was under construction with the promise that it would be completed in 2 months. We moved in 6 months later, after pushing hard at the end to complete the construction. We had two walk throughs and identified over 600 items that needed to be corrected. Nearly two months after moving into the house, there are dozens of items yet to be completed. Our new home came with a thick coat of construction dust over everything. We had rust stains on our new shower pan bottoms, all the mirrors were still covered in stickers and filthy. Cabinets had wood chips and saw dust all over inside There had to of been no move-in clean. Lots of parts of it weren’t finished yet and we had to constantly check in about the contractors coming back and finishing their work. There is barely enough paint on the walls to cover the texture. Nice sales team but construction quality needs improvement

Materials were decent for this price point, but the quality of workmanship was sloppy in many places - unfortunately common in mass-produced homes in this area. There were quite a few things I had to fix on my own after moving in. The builder, warranty team, and trade partners are very slow to respond to issues. The only issue that was addressed in a timely manner was a gas leak due to the stove not being installed properly. Even then, it was a pain to reach a customer care rep and the plumbing company rep. For price of this home the overall workmanship was very poor. There are many basic things that were poorly done such as painting, and door and trim installation. Very disappointed with the quality of the work.

The construction process was very poor with poor quality observed in multiple areas. Although our construction manager was very helpful after closing, it was obvious that he had little or nominal control over the process. We previously build a new construction home with another builder a few years ago so we were familiar with the overall process heading in. Our Lennar sales experience was good, but when it came to the construction team it was a different story. The primary construction manager that we were assigned, house issues / items aside, was very rude and unprofessional. The quality of the products and the workmanship is really very bad compared it to the other similar companies and even Lennar in other states.

WONT BUY FROM Lennar ANYMORE

Had very bad experience, Lennar pushed to close on 8/31, today 10/18 and we still have many things not done. A huge hole in a countertop, horrible painting, many things around not done . Contacted Lennar SALE PERSON, AND MANAGER NOT HELPFUL AT ALL

Not the greatest experience

We were dragged through the mud on getting our site selected, then having to suddenly bid on the lot and then getting lots of conflicting dates for completion (they were still cleaning and laying sod after closing and we were moving in). Two months later our pre-close checklist is not complete and warranty work is not done on days promised with no call or explanation. We love the neighborhood and location, but Lennar is tough to work with. Get ready to fight for your rights.

Disappointed with purchase of home

My buying experience has been very disappointing. The quality of workmanship throughout the unit is poor and not what I expected for a property that cost $600K. Cabinetry, flooring, painting, backsplash are all substandard and I have call backs for all areas. Air conditioning unit is so loud it sounds like the runway at the airport and I’m continually told they are “working on it”. It seems these properties are just thrown up and they move on with no regard to quality.

Lennar Homes are not worth the money.

Lennar Homes are not worth the money. Poorly built, plumbing not up to code, electrical issues and appliances not installed correctly. Home didn't even come with a garage door opener. 3 service requests in regards to AC not cooling, dryer outlet not working (circuit in breaker had to be replaced), water leaking under front and back doors, installed appliances not working, and unable to transfer utility to own name due to water-test not yet performed by builder and water company; and it's only been 2 months since closing.

Lennar - Lennar has no control over Holiday Pool.

Lennar has no control over Holiday Pool. We closed on July 1st and our pool heater does not work and pool control panel is not hooked up inside our house. 3 Lennar construction managers, warranty service manager, and virtual service manager have not been able to get Holiday Pool out here to complete the job.

When I complained about HVAC - response was "It is not life threatening and it will take time to get it done. Now they have postponed one more week - after 10 days". You will hear gaps in the doors, on the VPC floor. None of your requests will be addressed at any stage of the process. Better to stay away from Lennar in future, if possible.

Frustrated Buyer

I have had nothing but usses, last straw was I signed all the paperwork and didn't get possession for 7 days. As I was paying for the place. Sent emails asking to be reimbursed, as of today Aug 16th ZERO ZERO ZERO response. My keys were not even presented to me, left on counter with construction workers. They got my money, and left me hanging.

Lennar workmanship is the worst I have seen and to name a few, you can see the paint roller on the ceiling, nails sticking out of baseboard, cracks in the bath tubs, etc....My main complain is the interior and exterior paint quality and workmanship. It seems the painter didn't care and just paint one layer of paint instead of severals and be done with the job. I even can paint better than them. From two weeks after signing the purchase agreement, you can see the disorganization. The sales consultant was disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional.
