Disappointing experience

The home buying process with Lennar was highly disappointing. Our brand new home looked like it had already been lived in— dings in the walls, imperfections in the paint, torn up baseboards, paint splatters on our upgraded laminate flooring, and carpet, as well as a dirty home that was NOT cleaned after construction before move-in. Both the front and back doors are difficult to close and take a bit of force, while lifting up on the door to get them to close properly. There was no pride in workmanship to be found in our home but rather lots of cut corners. We were not informed upon moving in ...

My interest in Mar 2022 was at 3.75 but because of the three month delay (delayed twice Mar and again May) my interest rate went up to 5.75. Yep still angry

Lennar - Very unhappy with the overall experience.

Very unhappy with the overall experience. Once the home was sold to me I had to call various people to get any little information that I needed but everybody has been Very unresponsive. There are things under warranty like my garage door and the ring doorbell for which we do not have the code and I have tried calling multiple times but no response. The light bulbs were fused and now I will need to spend money to get them replaced. I have also sent a request through the Lennar website but no response whatsoever. Also the delay in delivering the house has been so long over 7 months that it was ...

We were rushed to close and they were not ready they could’ve taken another couple weeks and gotten things situated. After I came back from the settlement table I came back to a house that had no front door they still cannot fix a problem with with the door that they had so they took the entire front door off. There follow up on a bunch of things is really really bad

You get what you pay for. This pretty much sums it up. They do have a pretty decent and friendly after sales staff that mops up the Problems caused during construction. Don’t expect a quality build.

Expect to be frustrated going through the process. Lennar mad us close on our house before it was ready - the finance people must run the show. They somehow got the CO but our AC didn't work, we had missing drawers, a vent cover, the pool didn't work, missing tile, a warped wall, and more. I asked them to redo many areas of trim and the redo was worse than the original. The subs are not really skilled craftsmen so expect a lot of uneven, misaligned, or warped areas. They do respond to warranty request if you are willing to put a lot of work into submitting, tracking, scheduling, and ...

The workmanship in the entryway of the front door was poor. The front door wouldn’t open all the way and I had to advocate myself to get it addressed. The first attempt at resolving the issue was sloppy. Then the construction manager stopped replying to my messages. I then had to find another Lennar representative who would help me. Hopefully the warranty manager that I am working with now will resolve the issue but I currently have a front door that doesn’t open all the way.

We unfortunately have had on-going issues such as a main shower water leak and a secondary bathroom exhaust fan leak that have yet to fixed - almost two months now since we moved in! We will not shower in the main bathroom because of the large amount of water that will leak onto the floor after showering. All together we have had about 15 service requests, many of which have been fixed. However, some have not been to date. The quality of work/attention to detail is not apparent in many parts of our house. In fact, our front porch had to be resurfaced due to staining throughout the whole ...

Subcontractors: the attention to detail is lacking. No home will ever be perfect but you can tell when a subcontractor cares about the quality of work they complete. These subcontractors left carpet being lifted up in corners, paint on the baseboards, more paint needed on the walls, and the sod is absolutely ridiculous. There are seperations between sod spots the size of my foot. Lennar- If Lennar truly cares about the communities they are building they will have the common grounds sodded and the subcontractors pick up their messes. I continuously pick up trash in my back yard, had gravel ...

my home buying experience was not pleasant. I felt like I was a number, I was told more than once, if you don't want it, there are others that do...way to make one feel welcome. Workmanship was an issue, ongoing, especially dry wall. I had to fight every step of the way to get things done somewhat correctly...no specialty items, just how it should have been done to begin with. If it had not been for BILLY, I would have walked away. He was the only person that was honest and listened to what I had to say. I understand it is a seller's market but there is no pride in workmanship. YOU MUST ...

There were several challenges from the very beginning and it took 2 years for Lennar to deliver our home. I can understand that there was a county approval delay and supply chain issues but we didn't have enough transparency through out the process and were left hanging. There were items like soft close toilets mentioned in the data sheet but was not provided and when asked they said they had the right to change and it was a misprint. We got a connected home which is a nice feature although it was in the print, but were told was not available but we ended up getting it. Our neighbors got to ...

We had a hard closing date that Lennar would not budge on even though the house wasn't move in ready. It's been 2 months since closing and our issues have not been resolved yet. The construction manager had made promises that he couldn't deliver on. Not a good look for a national builder like Lennar.

Dan the salesman was great and worked well with us. The problems seem to be with corporate and their response to our concerns. We purchased the home while we were living out of state and across the country so we were not able to observe the progress on our home being built. However, there were certain benchmarks in the building process that Lennar wanted us to be there for. The first was the pre-drywall inspection/ orientation. Since we were coming from across country we asked that we would get three weeks notice. We were assured it would be ready by the date indicated. We flew out for the ...

Our sales representative and construction manager were very nice however you could tell there was too much on their plate. I constantly had to call to get updates. There was very little proactive updates sent to me. Quality of craftsmanship is embarrassing. Our new house orientation was a joke. Cutting too many corners, bathroom ceiling downlights that replace a $40 fixture with a $5 fixture but make it virtually impossible for the homeowner to come back and add proper lights. Elimination of any kitchen/breakfast lights and dining room light that are of really poor quality---in a half million dollar plus house. Then there are things like the carpet and padding which is of such poor quality that it has to be replaced in a couple of year, it is the lowest of the low end--wall paint where you can see the brush strokes because the painters watered it down so much to meet their budget ...
