Not so great.

Unfortunately our experience has not been a good one… delayed build, delayed closing, and lots of quality issues (crooked door and window frames, locks not working, gate won’t close, dry walled over fridge water lines and air vents, lots of debris and nails left in yard, permanent markings on patio cement, appliances blowing the bad seamen breakers, to common area over watering and flooding the yard). We are 2 months in and still having issues. It has been very disappointing.

Very bad communication

Unfortunately, my home buying process did not go as planned. As soon as you sign the purchase agreement with Lennar you become nothing to them. Questions were not answered, meetings were not scheduled and therefore missed, and items were different on the house compared to purchase agreement and photos shown. The pre-approval process with Lennar mortgage was seamless, but then as closing got closer communication took a turn. I emailed twice 2-3 weeks leading up to closing, they responded saying they’d be in contact the week of closing. 48 hours before they sent me the statement and wire ...

Very nice when you expressed interest in a home. After offer accepted, customer service disappears all through the close of the home. No one returns phone calls. Over promise under deliver. Sales person answers her phone when either at the gym or cleaning home and cannot assist. Did not receive gate remotes until eighth day after close. Would not and will not refer Lennar Homes to anyone.

Poor communication when I need something. When they want something from your lender or attorney, they are all over it. When it's time to do anything, they literally dictate and bully you on what they want done zero flexibility. The Lennar chosen title company is unresponsive and literally does not care about there "captured" business no risk of losing so why do anything to make the buyer happy. Any issues with the home are treated the same way anything Lennar can do to not help the buyer they will do.

If I wouldn't have lost my deposit I would have backed out of this purchase. I visited the home site just about every week during construction. I was always finding discrepancies and poor workmanship. They would fix just enough to appease me but it was still just the minimum. A crack in the slab almost all the way across from one side to the other, crooked wall plates, waves in the walls, loose studs, gaps in the sheathing, poor scarf joints in the molding, the list goes on. I told the construction manager that he needed to correct the subs for their poor work and was told "if we're too hard ...

Financing was great experience. However, I wasn’t pleased with being told the HOA was not going to be an issue-I’ve still not been able to get my approval and the HOA sends out warning and threats weekly. You shouldn’t lie to prospective buyers. I also am not satisfied with the materials used -such as fence materials and glass shower doors or the cheap plastic bath tub/shower stall. Not to mention a “hybrid “ water heater that doesn’t heat at all. I now need to spend $5000 to change it out. My side yard is exposed to the public- who regularly throw trash on my yard and dog poop. Plus the yard ...

We own a Lennar home in Las Vegas that is well built, with quality materials and great attention to detail. We have been so sad to see that what we expected here was not what we got. It appears that the company saved a few bucks on the bathtub, the carpet, the trim and countless details. I spent a lot of money to have the garage textured and painted... something I expected from Lennar since my Vegas house had that. We love the porcelain tub at our house there and hate the cheap fiberglass one we got here with structural cracks in it. The fit and finish is so cheap we will have to be ...

We did our walk thru a week before we closed and we came back 3 times in that week and nothing had been done in our walk thru so the day before closing we went to the office and our girl got on the phone and called our project manager and got them to start working on all the things that were wrong. Emphasis more on getting the contract signed without proper inspection and taking responsibilities for resolving client's issues. My property had a number of poor finishes and uncompleted snag list of items. This was left for me to arrange post move-in. In addition, I had electrical issues which I was not adequately supported for resolution even though this was a know issue according to the electrical engineer who later fixed the issue. I still have issues to be resolved once I have time to organize it. My experience was a terrible one and would not like it to be repeated.

Buyer beware - false statements by salespeople, archaic, disorganized and unnecessarily time-intensive requirements that customers deal with way too many emails and multiple online platforms and excessive amounts of conversation with multiple employees in multiple departments, to get anything done. I suspect this is intentional, so that buyers just give up reading and writing emails and talking to way too many employees, and they give in to builder demands.
