Lennar - Initial meeting with sales rep was great.

Initial meeting with sales rep was great. Told about 6 months to build. When signing purchase agreement, $10,000 was added to cost of lot and a tentative closing date of 8 months out. Although they really didn’t give a reason, I sensed they didn’t want to lock in a lower price knowing that it would take longer to build during supply chain shortage and labor issues. Actual closing date was backed up twice and ended up being 9 months and 2 weeks after singing purchase agreement. Front line staff were always cordial and empathetic but it was obvious there was much going on behind the scenes ...

Quality of workmanship is POOR

Homes are built with little to no pride of workmanship, just slap the homes up as fast as possible and any mistakes are overlooked or covered up with putty and paint.

Lennar responded:
Hi Mark, thank you for taking time to share your review. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment in the workmanship for your new home. If there are any items you would like us to follow up on, please send us a message at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com. - Lennar Customer Care

The insulation around the house is terrible, we can hear everything from the outside. Construction process was very poorly inspected. Materials used are not the best quality as promise. I'm not confident that I bought a house that will last for a very long time.

Lennar - Home quality is in par but the overall process was just a nightmare.

Home quality is in par but the overall process was just a nightmare. There is a lack of coordination between departments and as a seller i had to constantly follow up on the process. Mortgage was also a pain to deal with. Every person needed hand holding to get me to close. It maybe because we were one of the first few movers in the community but i hope they fix the process.

Lennar responded:
Hi Mairaj, thank you for this review. We are sorry and disappointed to hear about the poor experience provided during the buying process of your new home. We were made several promises only to receive crafty excuses, repeatedly. Quality is lacking in so many aspects of this construction it's difficult to name them all. Attention to detail is minimal from Lennar subconstractors. Simply put, the Lennar Team lacks integrity.

Although we appreciate that Lennar pushed to meet our established closing date, it was at the expense of the quality and completion of certain items. We are now 4-5 months post closing and still have items unfinished. Our construction manager essentially abandoned us and it's been extremely difficult getting things fixed via the warranty group. We love the house but this did not go the way it should have.

They will take a long time to replace items on the list when you closed. No ETA on when it will get done. Move in since the end of Nov 2021 and had issue with refrigerator which is still not working since day one. They will not replace and will tell you to deal directly with the manufacture (Frigidaire) Please don’t buy anything with Frigidaire they’re horrible to deal with, and will not replace anything even though it’s brand new. I would not recommend buying with Lennar. No follow up to resolve the issue and the details are so so…

Quite a few things went wrong since the closing. We did not receive the gate RFID stickers so we were not allowed into our community, even though the HOA pdfs we received 4 hours after the closing (around 10PM) stated we should've received gate stickers to access our home, so our move was delayed. We were also missing 1 garage remote (the package mentioned 2, we got 1), but around 2 months later we finally received the missing remote. There were 6 holes in the drywall: 2 in the staircase, and 4 in the ceiling. When installing ceiling fans, I found out some of the industrial screws holding the ...

Too expensive for what we actually got. Material quality is subpar and workmanship needs to be improved. Promised things would be fixed during our walk-through PRIOR to our move in and they were not. Home was not even cleaned before we moved in. Not worth it. Community is nice though, so there's that.

I have had a very disappointing experience with the responsiveness of Lennar to issues. I called out issues weeks before closing and it took until 6 weeks after closing to start addressing them, some are still not done. If I know what I had to go throw, I wouldn’t have gone with Lennar. The are responsive as they are trying to sign you up to buy the house and once you do, they disappear, the customer service is horrible, they don’t explain anything, you stay in limbo waiting for them to tell what happening and they will keep rescheduling forever and then when you get to talk to somebody, you get nothing but attitude. I don’t recommend it.

Monitor every detail. We have crooked walls, cracked trim, cabinet doors all needed replacement including at least ten doors. Lennar definitely cut corners to get this house done asap. Instead of getting a new house, we now have a house that has had a lot of work redone and looks patchy. Floor boards were cracked and scratched during install. Found plastic in our furnace. Window and plumbing issues. Basically every trade has had to return to our home to fix something.

It's a shame that Lennar doesn't care about getting the home buyer a quality finished product. They used decent enough materials. We like the home designs and there are many thoughtful details put into the design and layout of the home. But due to poor construction management and workmanship on the finishing aspects, they've cost us as the home buyer, time, money, inconvenience, and frustration after the move in. Then they lie about fixing issues. Or send out an unqualified worker that does a crap repair. Or they send someone out that never takes any action. At that point you may as well get ...

I’ve had to submit claim after claim because the house was rushed to be completed for closing. What I disliked is my house wasn’t complete items were not finished. I only got one walk thru and that was the day of closing. I should have gotten two. The county inspector came the day of closing which is ok but the builders rushed to get it to pass but other things were not hooked up like the second washer and dryer vents. Trim work wasn’t completed. Bifold doors were not adjusted. Some of the doors did not latch on striker plate properly. I feel they all rushed and me as a homeowner should not ...

The just used the bare minimum of materials and some low grade. The house has started to settle, from the painting to cocking especially on the staircase sides, most off it is already peeling off/cracking and it looks awful on the eye. Am speechless appliances are not working properly, from the Frigidaire refrigerator/kitchen upgraded package as marketed which you are being charged a good lump sum for more problems. In a few words it is a big mess for the price tag.
