Closing nightmare.

We had our closing March 10. We drove from Colorado to Texas into a winter vortex with 2 labradors, 2 cats, two cars and a trailer. Got stranded in the blizzard. Our trailer got stuck at a hotel with no rooms. So we slept in the car freezing all night till we could get towed in the morning. We get to Frisco Tx on March 9 stay in a hotel. (Remember we have to get 2 cats and two dogs (one’s a tripod) in the hotels for the past few nights driving. Always have to take an elevator.) Now Lennar only does virtual closing and we have to be out of hotel by 11am. They want the closing at ...

The process started out good, we were working with Ali initially. They transferred out case to Heather H. And everything fell apart. She continually called to ask fir documents that were sent 2 to 3 times already, still I was patient, until she contacted us on the day of closing asking for paystubs and w2's. Now keep in mind these documents were sent at the very beginning of this process. I asked her if this was normal to ask for these things on day of closing. In my mind everything would have been in order by then. At this point, they transferred us back to Ali G. We were told we needed ...

Very bad experience. Dish washer didn’t work properly, door lock didn’t work and ring either. Nothing can be solved by Lennar so I have to waste my time trying to call to the individual warranty. I moved to the community without mailbox. One month picking up the mail at usps. Now they are giving the mailbox key. But I have to drive to doral to pick it up. Everything is very inconvenient

I love my new home BUT the process was not pleasant. The mortage company was not very good. I was told multiple quotes as to how much I was going to need for closing. My closing date was a nightmare, the Benito and (the other woman s name I can't remember) were not great.

My experience from start to end was worst. Lost of lying from different Lennar Reps in terms of what they are telling verbally and cheating with signed doc. My home buying process was a roller coaster, to say the least. It started with a classic bait-and-switch tactic regarding the deal, followed by misleading information about loan qualifications. To get me interested, I was told that I qualified for a USDA loan based on my circumstances. However, after I submitted my earnest money—which is supposed to be refundable—I was suddenly informed that I didn’t meet the qualifications after all. This was particularly frustrating because my agreement to move forward was contingent on using that specific loan. Despite that, they refused to refund my ...

They built the different house than we requested and signed up for. We wanted a 5-bed not a 4-bed house and found out they did the opposite to a neighbor 3 doors down which leads me to believe they just got the plans mixed up. We didn’t find out until the final walkthrough and the closing process was disjointed and took longer than it should’ve. The initial sales rep was great but everything after that was a struggle at best. The after care team has been good though.

My experience was the worst probably in this community. I started off renting first. When I was renting I had an excellent experience in the community so I decided to start the process of buying. As I was looking around to different communities my husband wanted to stay in the same community we currently were looking into. He talked to the woman in the front office to see if or what we can do. She gave him a number to a man named Oliver. Oliver contacted and started the process. We put the earnest money down and just did what we were supposed to do as buyers. I put my 60 days notice into the ...

I’ve owned several homes and understand the process of buying and selling real estate. From the sales process to final close, it was bumpy and riddled with issues primarily around communication and a lack of clarity in details. Additional issues surfaced in general knowledge related to titling the home as I wanted. The initial response brushed it off then later was casted as a “I’ve never seen it done like that in 20 years” approach. I finally got it resolved as I initially wanted by pushing the issue further. The mortgage process was poor and lacked understanding and direction. The ...

Construction Manager Lied - Promises not kept

We paid for a 3rd party inspection report which was sent to the construction manager to take care of prior to our closing the day of our final walkthrough half of the items weren’t taken care of and he promised he would take care of them if we signed off on the home. The biggest item that I am still upset about is our driveway which was not properly leveled prior to laying the pavers and it has dips throughout. Lennar offered great incentives, but were quick to try and deny our application. They made us jump hurdles, i.e. requested my wife to get a letter from management at current employer only to find out we couldn't use it and she was basically forced to get a job within 2 weeks in a new state. The salesperson, Alex, was outstanding and was attentive to our needs within his authority/control. However we were very dissatisfied with the workmanship (paint, carpentry, landscaping (unlevel, dead grass, irrigation system heads sticking up too high, etc)). The tubs are basically useless because they are way too short for an average height adult (taller than 4 feet). Great square footage and amenities for the dollar but the workmanship needs improvements.

The whole process was very overwhelming and messy. We were pushed to close so quickly in this home that had alot of issues to be addressed. We made it aware during walk through, and they told us to just submit a ticket in warranty and they will cover it. The response time from everyone has been very delayed. I recently purchased a home from this builder, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. When we bought the home, we trusted the pricing and assumed we were making a good choice. However, within less than few weeks of our purchase, the builder started offering discounts on the same homes by approximately $50,000 to $70,000. I was very excited to buy a home in this community. First of all, they didn’t finish the home until the day of closing. They were still working on that day just until I closed and then vanished. Work outside and inside was pending. I had reported the plumbing issue and was told it will be taken care of.
