Our recent purchase of a home from Lennar, unfortunately, was far from smooth experience. While the house itself is okay, though we had to point a few things to repair in 2 external inspections and 2 walks we did before closing; the whole process of buying was frustrating. Lennar offered no flexibility on anything — from minor adjustments to deadlines, there was little room for negotiation or understanding. To make matters worse, management was practically impossible to reach. It was difficult to get answers to even the most basic questions. I expected a more customer-focused approach, ...

They were incredibly convincing until we passed the time with our earnest money. They stated that Lennar cared, and even though they generally don’t install radon mitigation systems, they would take care of their customers. They didn’t. The level on our home was the equivalent of smoking 80 cigarettes per day And we have two children, and children are 10 to 12 times more likely to develop cancer due to radon exposure. Materials are cheap, if you wipe the wall with a napkin, white paint comes off of the wall and that’s not even with a chemical on the napkin. The caulking in the bathroom ...

I never got the first walk through when they first started building. I have never seen such poor workmanship in my life! The painting, the caulking around the windows, the corners on every wall are messy ,,there is paint splatter in the floor!

I should have stayed at Oltoff builders in Clover grove! First walk through problems not taken care of, second walk through problems still not taken care of. Once you close no one seems to care All the big electric boxes and the AT&T bic should have been put in the backyards. Looks terrible out front. Bad Bad Bad!!

We paid for shutters which were not measured and ordered prior to close of escrow, as we were somehow missed in the process. Nearly 2 months after close and providing data repeatedly, we have not received any response or updates on activation status for solar from Sunnova. Subcontractors are below standard. Welcome orientation did not explain the walkthrough process well, and customer service rep did not show up to introduce himself. We had to find out who is our rep, although he has been pretty helpful since. Affiliated Lennar Insurance wasted our time reaching out to us to offer us a ...

This is my first time buying with Lennar, would I do it again ? NO the quality of materials used are the cheapest they can find. As I watch the new builds down the street, I see unskilled day labor being used. They break a door and toss it. No care is given to the quality of work or workers! To be honest, they really need to find good at least half skilled labor. Mostly I see unskilled illegals working. Brought in by the truckload daily, no lie they work, but have no idea what they are doing. My low voltage electric to doorbell was put in as a 16volt and should have been a 24 voltage, the ...

Hi, Purchased home through Lennar. Went through in initial orientation, found a water leak in master bathroom. No follow up after the initial leak found. I was told management will contact, after multiple calls still no one followed up. Only when things got near the closing date, did i receive a call from the membet support and they were able to get me the updates. I was suppose to receive my closing gift, its been two months no update on this one as well. The quality of products, door knob handles, used seems very low quality.

Between AC not working day of move in after multiple issues prior to closing, ants, overall bad workmanship, shower needing to be replaced, sewage smell, faulty wiring, faulty plumbing, and almost everything being “not covered after closing. Would not recommend. They build these houses so fast and don’t care what happens after closing. Only nice people are the Sale Agents, after that it’s no good. If they do come out for “warrantable” defects, it’s “we’re doing you a favor”. Need some sense of responsibility.

When looking at the home, we were told that ALL lawn and landscape maintenance was covered - lie. We were told that the gates would start to be closed for security - lie. Most of the poor experience began at the time of the final walk. Nothing on the list had been completed. Numerous drywall issues throughout, bad paint. Lennar has gotten so big they have lost sight of customer service and quality home building. It appears to be more about the sale and getting the houses up as fast as possible no matter what. Quality of the homes is seriously lacking. The interior finish work is extremely sloppy. The materials used are sub-standard. The interior paint job is one thin coat of flat paint. After third-party home inspection multiple areas were not to code and had to be redone. The home buying process is cumbersome and not buyer friendly.

Make sure your home is FULLY completed because once you move in they drag their feet on getting your repairs or even things that need to be completed, completed. The communication is extremely poor between their people and from the construction manager to contractors, etc.. been in my home for almost 2 months and still waiting on items to get fixed/completed. Of the entire process with Lennar, the best part was our Sales Agent. He was friendly, responsible and very responsive. With the construction team, there are a lot of opportunities for improvement, both from the strategic leadership and the ground execution team. While the people that work at Lennar have been nice and ok to work with, the quality of the home simply is not there -- especially for the price. This is hands down the lowest quality home we have ever lived in despite it being the most expensive we have ever purchased. If there was a cheaper material to be purchased or a corner that could be cut, Lennar took it. Sadly we are not happy in our brand new home and do not recommend purchasing from Lennar.

Lennar is one of the largest homebuilders. I expected so much more from Lennar and our new home. Lennar tried to use the bully/gorilla approach to get us to sign paperwork (even inaccurate contract paperwork), and use all their services (Lennar Title, Lennar Escrow, Lennar Insurance, Lennar Design Center, Lennar Mortgage, etc.). For example, if you don't use both Lennar Escrow and Title, they jack up the price on Escrow fees to make it financially difficult not to use them. I would never buy a house from Lennar again! Lennar cut every corner possible to increase their profit.
