Quality of workmanship is the worst I’ve seen. This is the third house I’ve built in last 8 yrs and the worst. They try to fix it but they just don’t know how

House was poorly constructed until now I’m still having minor issues. For new home owners have a thorough inspection before and after you move in.

Lennar will make you feel great upon buying your home and they’ll offer a one year warranty on any defect. Initially, Lennar will be responsive to warranty requests. However, it comes with a catch. You’ll quickly realize the warranty is offered because Lennar is aware of the poor workmanship and materials that go in to their homes. After a couple months, customer care will abandon you as they move on to other new homes. As of today, we have a dead tree and shrubs in the front yard that Lennar planted and has not addressed. We have weeds, straw, and plastic netting in the backyard that I ...

A few things to list 1) Paint contractors miss many spots and the exterior paint has weak spots where they spaced the spraying 2) Faucets in downstairs bedroom and master bedroom leak onto counter if left at a lower valve setting. Lennar stated that this was within spec. Having to buy faucets that actually are long enough to not flood bathrooms. Should not be buying things to fix Lennars issues. 3) Floors are starting to gap and flex quite a bit. Downstairs laminate floors. 4) Biggest issue: Front driveway was poured before a deep freeze in the winter. Contractor did not adequately ...

My home was purchased through Cal Atlantic but finalized with Lennar. We chose a Chef Kitchen and we selected the granite counter top for our home. The vendor chose defective granite for me to select and gave me the impression the spots could be buffed out. To my surprise the spots remain I had the situation noted the answer I received was not what I expected . (I chose the granite and sign the form) I attempted to have the situation ruled in our favor a second time and received the same answer. I even offered to buy a different granite on the warehouse floor I was told Dale Title ...

After buying the home we had items that needed to be fixed. Our home rep Tom would never respond to our concerns or give us times when we could expect things to be fixed. Only after three emails asking him who was above him that we could talk to did he respond to us and after 4 months the items got fixed. Three of the contractors that had items that need to fix just showed up with out giving us appointment. Luckily my wife was home each time and we were able to get be work done. We asked Tom to please let us know when the contractors were going to arrive. His response was Oh I thought they ...

Building took 10 months due to contractor delays....poor finishing

I read many reviews about Lennar prior to moving forward with the process and most of them were negative but I was naively optimistic that my family wouldn't have the slew of issues others had. We purchased in early June and it was 10 months later that we finally moved in. The sales rep was very attentive and very friendly but after that the experience consistently deteriorated. Our house would sit for weeks with no work done to it, I checked on the house every other day. The largest delay was the electrical contractor, or so we were told, which took a solid month with no progress to the ...

Disappointing home buying experience

I have purchased six homes and this experience by far was the most disappointing. Once you sign contract to purchase home the communication ends. There was no formal sit down process nor schedule given to keep you abreast of the process. Was not encouraged to meet or speak with the construction manager. Even when I contacted the corporate office and spoke with the regional manager, there was not a demonstration to take ownership of the situation and correct or improve the process.

Lennar builds beautiful homes. But attention to detail appears to be a loss. We have been in our home for 4 months and immediately started a list of repairs needed. We have only notified the builder of two repairs that are priority at the moment. Our experience with having our concerns addressed has been very poor. We will usually get a response within a couple days but contractors are scheduled on what’s convenient for them and not the homeowner. We are told what day they will be out but it often dies not work with our schedule. That means contractors are coming to our home and entering our ...

Really shocked on the corners you turn to make a sell. Substandard materials and appliances that the new home owner needs to upgrade from the beginning. Concentrators don't finish the job or never come back to complete the job. I constantly have to remind supervisor of work still needing to be completed 5 months after we have taken possession of the property.

Love the new home but it was delivered incomplete. It has taken almost 4 months and a lot of nagging, requesting, demanding, etc. to get the home actually finished. For example, we had missing paint in places, doors which needed adjustment where you could see light from the outside, missing technology items which would allow the home to actually be "connected", over 40 cracked pavers, a missing backsplash, over-paint on all the metal coping in every bathroom, etc. I could go on. It was really a shame to have the home delivered in such an incomplete state just so corporate could book an ...

Need to slow down the construction a bit and put a little more pride in the build. After purchasing my home I began to see the “quick fix” repairs around the house. Also do a better job with the fencing. There are three different fences in the community. It looks tacky.

Our house was not move-in ready and yet we were still forced to close. There were still several outstanding issues that were not addressed on our final walkthrough. The process to close was rushed and workmanship was sloppy, there were several serious issues including a gas leak that had not been addressed until after the walkthrough even though they were caught weeks in advance. The house was dirty, some of the moulding pieces use had large defects in them. Our sump pump has never worked and still has not been addressed three months later. Walk through is rushed and it's obvious no one from Lennar walks the home before closing. Was told floors would be cleaned but 3 months later I'm still unable to get white paint off the floor. No help for that or significant cracking in door frames and baseboards because that apparently is cosmetic. If I could do it all over again I would insist on a 2nd walk through and be more diligent to ensure issues were fixed before closing.
