We love the layout of the house and the neighborhood. We do regret buying from Lennar. We were outright lied to and were extremely disappointed in the process. There were a few people along the way that were very nice but it appears Lennar employees are trained to make money, not care about people.

1. Even though we reported these issues during pre-drywall inspection, none of those were fixed 2. Forced us in a threatened way to close the house even without fixing the reported issues. 3. I fell and tripped in the room because of pulled out carpet, frames and closet doors left in the room without any safety concerns. 4. Multiple meetings and multiple people come in and go to look at the issues. This affected my work and personal life significantly in a negative way. It is unacceptable and negligent on their part to let us suffer this long.

broken irrigation systems

When we did the inspection few days before closing, the irrigation system broke. So Lennar turned it off. This killed our lawn because no water for the grass. Lennar promised us that they will take care of the lawn and irrigation system. What they did was let the irrigation water the grass everyday and the running time was very long. The front and back yard turned to paddle, wasted a lot water. The water bill for the first month was more than 600 with no one live in the house. And the house was very dirty, some construction waste left inside the garage. We have to hire the cleaner to clean ...

Shoddy work by sub-contractors.

The electrical work was, I guess, compliant with the mandatory electrical codes. But, not by much! The work was pretty minimal, was rushed, and of minimal quality and competence. I do t know where Lennar gets these sub-contractors from, but it’s not anything they can or should brag about!

Lennar is a poor builder that is full of excuses. They contract with cheap trades who do not respect that this is someone’s home nor do they care about their workmanship. Many of the trades have cut corners and did shotty work, including crooked doors, ceilings, and general crappy cover ups. Lennar should be ashamed of themselves.

We love the home design and open floor plan as well as separate office, guest suite and dining room.

Unfortunately, the items that we pointed out through out our building process were not addressed and then during our NHO and final walk thru all items were still not addressed and now we are 45 days since closing and we are still having to work thru these issues. Overall the quality of the contractors you contract with is below subpar and the fit and finish on the house is just not good. We would not recommend Lennar to our friends and family.

Decline in quality of workmanship

I have toured numerous Lennar model homes in the past and decided to purchase a new construction home with them. I signed the contract in 2021 and they unfortunately transitioned to an inventory system where you have no choice in a lot of the main features. This includes the front elevation type and color scheme. This applies to a lot of the other options as well. During the celebration and the early days after moving in, we noticed a lot of quality issues. Almost all of the door handles, some of the light switch plates, some of the floor vents were crooked. Poor communication. Changed CSR reps 3 times. Multiple delays mixed with the horrible communication required multiple moves and overlapping rent on multiple locations. Then gave estimate of 6 months, so we signed a 7 month lease, just to find out 2 weeks later they wanted to rush the close within a month so they could hit financial targets for the quarter. Several issues due to rushed close causing dealings with about a dozen contractors post closing. Various issues around the house still unresolved. Too many to go into detail, but a few; garage door misaligned, bathtub badly damaged, ...

I would never recommend this builder to anyone because they sacrifice quality for quantity. I’ve never experienced anything like I have with Lennar. It’s sad that no one even seems to care.

Beautifully home but lots of construction issues

Unfortunately, we had lots of issues with our home that we feel could’ve been avoided if we had a good construction manager supervising all its people. We did not have a refrigerator for a month, we had a water damage with a storm for improper window installation, moisture in a closet and many drywal/painting repairs. Not to mention the home was delivered without door handles upstairs, our kitchen and bathroom cabinets were a mess they had to reorder some of them and they are still on schedule to re-do our master bath shower as they did a TERRIBLE job installing it. Little value for the money.

Not flexible to any design changes. Every house is built to existing plans which cannot be changed anywhere. You must ask which plan has most of the features you want and go with it realizing you are missing a couple of features you want. Poor aspects of design and workmanship can be easily identified. The finishing of the baseboards, window sills, and doors were so bad we made them do over. The repainting the trim was worse than the original so we ended up sanding everything down and we repainted ourselves. I did not have a good experience with this company. It started out great. Danielle, Doug and Alex was awesome. I had a huge problem with Amy my loan processor. I was starting to think I was discriminated against. Overall, we finally got the kinks worked out. I would not recommend Lennar Mortgage to anyone. I am missing 2 of my cabinet drawers. My outlets in bathrooms do not work. I will reach out to Alex about this problem. My floor baseboard in Master bedroom is still noisy after my home inspector noted it in the report. They were supposed to fix it.

Lack of quality control and resolution of issues

The overall buying process was relatively simple. The complexity comes when the workmanship and quality comes into play. Lack of attention to detail - not a lot of pride in workmanship. Outstanding issues from Settlement are taking months to get resolved. I'm hearing the same thing from other home owners as well. If you are able, I'd recommend not completing settlement until the issues are resolved unless you want workers in and out of your house for months.

Lennar - Lots of issues after we moved in.

Lots of issues after we moved in. Missing products, broken items. Caused us money and no one would come to fix them. We were able to reach our service rep and submit service requests. Yet no one would actually come and fix the issue. It has been two months since we moved in. Nothing got fixed yet. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone.

All of the ladies that helped us with any part of the buying mortgage or construction part of our Lennar experience was great. Would recommend any of them to a new customer. Any man I that we needed help from or talked with except Matt will never get a good review from us. We were lied to by these men and I don’t feel they can be trusted.

Our Customer Care representative is combative and her immediate response whenever we need to put a ticket in is “no”. She always gives push back for everything. To the point where we have to send her VIDEOS of things that aren’t working. Her latest rebuttal was that she could only send an electrician out to check why our master bedroom light switches weren’t working IF we uninstalled the fan. I am not paying an electrician to uninstall and then reinstall a fan for Lennar yo do their JOB. Yomaris, the customer care rep is less than helpful.
