Lennar takes advantage of buyers and has terrible build quality

If at all possible DO NOT buy a house from Lennar. If at all possible they will take advantage of price increases on your contracted home to selectively cancel your contract and force you to re-contract on the same house at a higher price. They will do this the day before closing forcing your hand to fork over more money. The quality of the house is terrible. Our floor tiles buckle, the kitchen island is not level do food rolls off, the HVAC cannot maintain safe humidity levels, there are a number of mis-wired switches and missing GFCI and or AFCI breakers. Our master bath sink is cracked. ...

We had EVERY Appliance in our home changed, still waiting for parts from GE after 4 months. Everything that has been “fixed” has required an additional contractor to fix what the first one damaged

They are not trustworthy. They tell you they will finish items and then do not. They want to take your money and then leave you hanging.

The quality of the home appears to be great on the surface, however after less than 2 months in the home, things started to fall apart. Cracks started to appear on the walls and ceilings. We can also see all of the lines coming from wood planks in the ceiling and on the walls. They also didnt sod the entire backyard and put pine straw in the non-sodded area, stating that "grass will have trouble growing there". However, we hired a landscaper and was told differently. Peggy is the best!! Rest of the Lennar team are horrible if there a word worst then horrible I will use it. Since we moved in we have requested multiple times for certain services and only once a service was full filled. We are still waiting on so many other service we’ve requested and their is no follow ups. They are few urgent service requests we have requested that are pertaining to dangerous materials on our roof and driveway and after several requests their is still no one came to check on the request. It was a nightmare from beginning to end. I could write a book about the horrible experience we have had with the entire home buying process with Lennar. They threatened to sell my home to someone else if I didn't come here, from NC and close when they wanted me to during the "Peak" of Covid-19 here in Las Vegas, now I wish I had let them do that!! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!
