Disaster all the way through. I really believe Lennar failed in every aspect. And from now, the house is already falling apart. All baseboards have left the wall. Outside panels are peeling back. Incredible. The finance side of this I could write a novel on how bad it was. Absolutely unacceptable.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Joseph,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize that your experience with us fell so short of expectations. We understand your frustration and disappointment, particularly regarding the condition of your home and the difficulties you encountered with the financing process.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t not recommend building with Lennar to a friend

-Buying process was painful and the price on the contract didn’t match the verbal price we were told. -Early on during a scheduled visit, I noticed the wrong bathtub and shower was installed. It took a month of nagging to get someone to confirm that the wrong shower was installed. This ended up causing a 3 month, last minute delay of our home being built. -the sheathing on my roof has about a 5 inch gap on it. I assumed a vented roof cap was going to be installed. That is not the case and I have a 5 inch gap just covered by shingles. Lennar claims it’s per manufacturer standards, but I’m ...

Lazy workers

So there’s a reason all the inspectors have a running joke about Lennar homes- because the blue tape walkthroughs are a joke. An entire cabinet in my kitchen is currently cracked completely in half. They installed it that way! The paint on my walls chips off if a fly lands on it. The workers are loud, messy, and lazy. There’s no standards on who they will hire as long as they do it fast, Lennar doesn’t care. My lawn is full of sunflowers from workers spitting seeds everywhere and construction trash is constantly in my yard. The “landscaping” is awful- the 3 bushes they planted are completely ...

We have had a bad experience. There has been several several issues with the house. Constantly calling portal for repairs. Taking time off from work. I think homeowner should be more involved in building process when it comes to upgrades or choices for their house. Honestly i don’t think i would buy another Lenar home after this experience. I am still dealing with issues.

Too many defects in too many places.

Two weeks before closing, we walked through and discussed the defects that needed to be addressed. (We also missed several defects). We walked through on closing day and not one single thing on that list was fixed. As for warranty issues it seems that once we are told “that’s normal”, even though it is not normal. That’s it, no recourse.

Lennar responded:
We are sorry to hear about your experience throughout the walkthrough process and after closing on your new home. We understand you may have some issues that need resolving. To ensure the quickest resolution please submit the details using the warranty request form in your Lennar account.

House was not built with attention to detail or cleanliness

Poor construction management, doorknobs all over the house falling off doors, nails sticking up in the carpet, used razors found in the yard, literally dozens of instances of overspray, you can see points where studs are on the wall (not flush) Garage doesn’t actually fit things with the advertised depth (it’s a couple inches shorter, my truck would’ve fit if it was in fact the 20’ advertised). When I inquired about this I had no response. Lots of electrical and construction debris found in the back yard. All of this was after a home inspection that found unsecured roof shingles, missing ...

Poor Quality; Many defects need remedy after closing

Poor quality overall. Very disappointed. Many defects and issues that require repair AFTER closing. Poor attention to quality control over vendors during the construction process and lack of oversight in remedying BEFORE closing so it leaves the homeowner having to chase to get warranty items repaired. The warranty rep (Doug) has been fantastic and responsive - BUT - we shouldn’t have to deal with all of these issues. More care is needed in making sure the home is delivered in better shape/quality BEFORE you sell to a prospective buyer. Not fair to the buyer to have to deal with all of these ...

I definitely would like to arrange an inspection by leadership to see the overall work performed in my NEWLY BUILT home, especially by GMT. Specifically, with the trash found inside the walls, we reported to Leadership. And that it was found after they had to remove the shower wall for replacement less than a month after closing. And many other less-than-satisfactory issues we have endured. The quality of craftsmanship being witnessed is borderline criminal.

A builders grade paradise. We don't know, or we don't do that are the mottos around here. No consideration for the overall ambience of the development, homes are built with lack of the consideration of the ability of the buyers who are new to the area to have access to services and information of availability unless you are willing to be Facebook savvy and trusting of your "neighbors". Air leaks and failing " finishing" touches are common, the washouts of the so called irrigation system are not only annoying but dangerous at times. You get the picture. And it only promises to get worse.

Lennar responded:
Hi Christine, we are truly sorry that you think we don't know is our motto. We are sorry for any issues that you have faced with your Lennar home. Our team will be sharing these frustrations with the local customer care team for review. -Lennar Customer Care

We just bought a house and it came completely filthy. Paint splatters all over the floor. Screen door not fixed as they told us it would be. They just rush you through and pressure you to sign off and make promises that they don’t stick to. Beware on the construction sign off.

Major delays from the start, then rushing to closing. Home was NOT ready during final walk through. Was promised at closing issues would be resolved before closing was over, but 6 hours after closing we still had workers in our home. Concrete was cracked upon move in, lights hanging out of ceiling, walls not painted, appliance parts missing, bowed walls, etc. Over all the structure/bones of the home are great; however the finishes are extremely poor quality. Getting a hold of people about issues has been nearly impossible. The build/buying process was a disaster, at least coming from ...

Still am very unsettled about coming in to buy home that was advertised with a red slash through it and advertised as reduced price. Went in on last day unexpectedly when I got email on home sale. Went by address and walked around. I wanted it no matter what. I was told I had to pay full price and was given 2 different reasons that I can't remember why I could NOT have sale price advertised. One of those reasons was: I had to pay cash? So I had to pay full price. Why was my Representative paid commission on base price of home? I was told I had to purchase at full price. I need someone higher ...

At first glance, the houses look great. However, lines are not straight, walls are crooked, door frames are cracking and the hardware is drilled and redrilled into place leaving loose screws and doors that won't stay shut. The electrical system is faulty, plug in a hair dryer, lose power in half the house (until you reset the breaker). Water pipes aren't buried, they're simply covered with mulch. I'm afraid to see what the future brings with the quality of this house. The process of buying the home should have been an indicator of how the quality of work would have been. Each step of the ...

Purchase experience was ok. Lots in fine print on paperwork not discussed. Many visits here during construction and there is virtually no follow up on issues. Many were not addressed until after closing and our home wasnt even cleaned. Common areas are a mess and hoping a service ticket helps that. Cabinets needed full adjustment after closing. Walls not straight. Would not have bought this home if we knew then what we know how. Sorry
