Would not buy a lennar home again!

I would like a Project Mgr to circle back with me to arrange for my carpet to be completely installed ASAP!!!!

Lennar Homes are not worth the money. Poorly built, plumbing not up to code, electrical issues and appliances not installed correctly. Home didn't even come with a garage door opener. 3 service requests in regards to AC not cooling, dryer outlet not working (circuit in breaker had to be replaced), water leaking under front and back doors, installed appliances not working, and unable to transfer utility to own name due to water-test not yet performed by builder and water company; and it's only been 2 months since closing.

Lennar has no control over Holiday Pool. We closed on July 1st and our pool heater does not work and pool control panel is not hooked up inside our house. 3 Lennar construction managers, warranty service manager, and virtual service manager have not been able to get Holiday Pool out here to complete the job.

When I complained about HVAC - response was "It is not life threatening and it will take time to get it done. Now they have postponed one more week - after 10 days". You will hear gaps in the doors, on the VPC floor. None of your requests will be addressed at any stage of the process. Better to stay away from Lennar in future, if possible.

I have had nothing but usses, last straw was I signed all the paperwork and didn't get possession for 7 days. As I was paying for the place. Sent emails asking to be reimbursed, as of today Aug 16th ZERO ZERO ZERO response. My keys were not even presented to me, left on counter with construction workers. They got my money, and left me hanging.

I had bought several new homes from kbhome, century communities and Lennar. Lennar workmanship is the worst I have seen and to name a few, you can see the paint roller on the ceiling, nails sticking out of baseboard, cracks in the bath tubs, etc....My main complain is the interior and exterior paint quality and workmanship. It seems the painter didn't care and just paint one layer of paint instead of severals and be done with the job. I even can paint better than them. As far as materials quality, they are by far the bottom comparing with others builders and a very disappointment since I heard some good stuff from Lennar. The whole experience could have been better. Everything from the time my Earnest money was taken to the quality of the finished product.

From two weeks after signing the purchase agreement, you can see the disorganization. The sales consultant was disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. Communication between loan officer, title company and sales consultant is non existent. No one knew when anything was happening until I told them. Upon completing the walkthrough we saw how messy and dirty Lennar kept everything. Trash everywhere. There is still some items under our carpet that we can feel with our feet when walking across the floor. The walls are bowing so much even guests realize. The grass/ soil is littered with plastic, brick, and nails when digging to change a sprinkler head. My home insurance was cancelled because the title company did accurately record what insurance company I was using. So I had to pay out of pocket for my insurance policy after realizing my insurance was cancelled and then get a check back from Lennars insurance team. Utter disaster and horrible experience. ... Overall, we are happy with our home mainly because we love the location and the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. On the other hand, the build quality, in my opinion, is very poor. We have had countless issues after being in our home for only 6 weeks. These include very poor interior paint quality with a total lack of attention to detail. Also, the guest bathroom tile work has to be completely redone due to terrible workmanship. French doors have been replaced due to improper installation and finishing. An outdoor vent cover has come loose and is waiting to be replaced. Then there is the cabinetry throughout the entire home. Absolutely the worst! Cheap, doesn't even begin to describe the quality of the cabinets that we installed in our home. Not a single door or drawer is straight, one cabinet is cracked, hardware is uneven and every single seam needs touched up. Don't get me started on the quality of the dishwasher that was installed... Ali, our sales consultant was very professional as were our mortgage and title representatives However, our pre close and post close walk throughs were apparently a waste of time. We closed over 6 weeks ago and still have simple paint and electrical issues that have not been addressed and our backyard is so poorly graded that we can’t use it because it is soggy and muddy.

If you read the reviews for Lennar they are mixed to be sure. Either very satisfied or extremely disappointed. I'm somewhere in the middle. My sales associate was great. The home is tasteful, but the build quality is only slightly above average. The house was overpriced, but isn't everything today. But for half a million dollars I would have expected more attention to detail as well as respect. Lennar Title and Lennar Mortgage should be avoided; they're snakes. Lennar Mortgage especially. Lennar credited me $10,000 even though I didn't use Lennar Mortgage due to their refusal to help me initially and then dropping the ball late in the game. Unfortunately, Lennar Title withdraw the $10k credit THREE HOURS before closing with no explanation; see you in court. Lennar delivered my home with dead, haphazardly, and poorly installed sod. Their justification, "this is what to expect when you buy a Ford instead of a Ferrari." We almost walked away from the closing, but they had us trapped. Not a great overall experience. Our New home consultant Ainsley was amazing! Everyone/thing else has just not been great. Unorganized, a lot misinformation. This review is after 2 months living in the home and still dealing with issues.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend a Lennar build to anyone. If, however, you choose to go with a new build, please lower your expectations. The workmanship throughout the home looks incredibly rushed. The paint job is poorly done, some of the kitchen cabinets are not level, rubber seams on doors damaged, framing on outside window facade falling down, wood chipped throughout the home, floor trimming around baseboards not flush, paint/spackle on carpet, lighting not flush with the ceiling, etc. It's incredibly disappointing to see your investment look so poorly thrown together. It is evident that there's a very poor attention to detail that Lennar has with building homes. Granted, these are production homes that are built rather quickly. However, at the end of the day these are homes that people invest their hard earned money into and it would be nice if Lennar ensured that each home was built to a standard of excellence. Furthermore, it's disconcerting to know how dismissive Lennar is when you raise concerns about issues that you find. Overall, I am not as happy as I had hoped to be. ... More

I’ve been in construction 12 years never seen such poor workmanship and we moved in with promises of our driveway and being done by July 9th and still waiting on irrigation and sod its almost august

Not satisfied with purchase or with help on getting set up on my new home. They promised you the world . After you close escrow your on your own!!!!!

Not at all happy at the moment with Lennar!! Hopefully , the issues with our home purchase , which are many are resolved in a reasonable amount of time..

Bought sight unseen. Never received alarms/internet stuff. Had to ask after we moved in. A/C didnt work, garage door opener doesnt work, tiles are cracked, dryer smells like its on fire. We have a long list. We have a virtual meeting today and still havent received an email about how that works

...when it six weeks to replace door locks that have never worked.Had to use garage door to go in and out.When duct work f/ ac is missing-never installed!I'llstop here before you think we'resdissatisfied...

I am sad to be giving such a poor review when I absolutely love our home and had a great experience with so many of the team. I will start with the good parts. I love the home, the location, and the Lennar product. Rick the construction manager and Dana the Customer Service manager have been simply wonderful all throughout. Alex from Lennar mortgage was fabulous and though we had bumps on the road he moved mountains to help turn things around and was patient with our technology imperfections. Sadly, Jonathan and Marcelle on the realtor side left what should have been an amazing experience of buying our dream home an unresolved bitter experience. We were supposed to receive keys on May 3rd. We arrived to a red carpet, banner, and amazing customer service from Rick and Dana. Within minutes we received a call that due to a breakdown in communication between the mortgage side and the realtor no inspection had been ordered and we could not receive keys that day. Awful and devastating! Movers had been scheduled, work had been missed, landlords had been informed, and penalty fees had been paid. However, my family was willing to regroup and be flexible to resolve everything to get moved into our dream home. All we needed was communication and empathy. What we received was a drastic difference in customer service between the 2 departments. Alex from mortgage and his team moved heaven and earth, apologized, and checked in on us during what ended up being 3 weeks before we could actually move in. Jonathan blamed mortgage, my family (for a lack of understanding of information he never provided), and showed zero empathy. I ended up having to talk to his supervisor Marcelle. I had to place multiple calls before she would speak with me. When we did speak she showed some empathy but placed the blame solely on mortgage despite acknowledging Jonathan's bad customer service labeling it a "coaching opportunity". We expressed our appreciation but requested also to be made whole from all the financial impact these errors had caused. We did not want to profit just reimbursement for the real financial impact all this had caused. Marcelle said she would email someone and follow up. It is a month and a half later and Marcelle has never called back. We've left multiple voicemails, asked assistance from others who route us back to her, last week I received an email that she "would be willing to speak with me", I requested a time and have heard nothing once again... Do not buy with this builder. All they care about is money and not the customer. My realtor even said this is the worst builder she has ever dealt with and will not recommend this builder to any of her clients ever again.

Communication fell off a cliff after purchase of home and could not contact team unless I physically drove out there. Deadlines were continuously missed and since moving in there have been many things falling apart that should not be. Trim is falling off, there are cracks EVERYWHERE in the drywall, we are still missing pieces to our home, our dishwasher broke the first time we used it and weve been told it will be months before it can be fixed. We moved into a new home to minimize issues with repair but every weekend we are fixing something that is broken. The only thing that makes this house enjoyable is who I spent it with but for the amount we spent the quality truly has missed the mark. Yes we did a walk through, but even with a walkthrough that took over an hour there was not enough time to catch the extent of the damages to the home even before we moved in. ... More

Not the best at communicating, can be difficult to contact. Overall quality not what I had anticipated! I am still waiting for issues to be resolved

Several items were addressed prior to closing and almost none of them were addressed until closing day. A few of the larger items are still left open and un fixed or in a worse condition/state. There is a major lack of quality control over the trades. Subfloor was not prepped before pad and carpet. You can feel drywall mud through the carpet. There was a 6" hole in the subfloor, carpet guy carpeted right over it. We found it by nearly stepping through the carpet. We've been in the house 6 weeks and cannot shower in our master bath because a tile repair needed to be made. So far the glass and tile have been removed and a 2x4 trimmed back...that's it. There are wall corners that are nowhere near 90 degree angles and areas of carpet that need to be replaced (carpet is still pulled up in areas). The warranty person (Jacob) at closing was reluctant to have repairs made. He literally said it's his job to "push back." The current warranty person (Vanessa) cannot mutli task and has no call no showed, not returned calls, not seen repairs to completion. We would never recommend Lennar and quite honestly cannot wait to sell my new home to purchase with another builder. ... More

The house has a lot of details, is like if they are giving you the house for free, we are still waiting for a part of the refrigerator that hasn’t arrived and it’s been 2 month since we moved in. Very cheap built houses but really expensive cost
