I wish I could turn back time and wait on my close. Make sure you have everything complete before you sign. If Dillon is your construction manager, leave completely, he is not only incompetent, he is rude and unresponsive.

I wouldn't purchase another Lennar home

Since moving in there has been one issue after another with our home, as well as the surrounding neighbors. (and I'm talking about some BIG health and safety hazard issues). We have had people constantly in our home fixing issues since we moved in which has been frustrating. Many of the fixed items have been done very sloppy. Some of the issues we were told weren't under warranty, so we are already having to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for the extremely fast and sloppy work that is done with building these homes so quickly. The team I worked with included people in San Antonio and in Austin. The only person that did their job on time and checked on us to make sure everything was ok was Thomas G. Everyone else didn’t know how or where to do their job correct. Starting off with the loan advisor who always had to ask a manager to do anything, then he never sent us our paper work for closing so when it was time to close and we were almost keys in hand that were like we need more money from y’all! Poor craftsmanship

There were several items that had not been completed by the time of closing and several more issues once we moved in. We have now been in our house 4 months and are still experiencing issues. I feel that Lennar is now more about quantity than quality.

We like our home. However, the customer service experience is not great and horribly inconsistent. We would never recommend using Lennar Mortgage, terrible experience. I don’t think we would ever purchase a Lennar home again.

No trustworthy communication between sales and construction staff as to building delays, realistic settlement dates, or other updates. Each side blames each other when you talk with them. If materials are short due to supply chain, so be it. Just tell buyers the closing date is X and not hold to old and now out dated schedules just so Lennar can report sales and home closure progress for investor news. Quality of finish work is sub par , paint finish and quality is straight garbage. Your contact to repair this is overworked and doesn’t have the time to be helping with repairs. This should be put on the trades.

New home not move in ready

We purchased our home sight unseen and just got the virtual walk thru since there were no models available to view. At our first walk thru there were a lot of items that needed to be fixed or repaired. I was assured they would be fixed by closing in 7 days. I had to wire the money before closing so it would be funded. Lennar extended closing by a week so we had to pay for additional housing. The day before closing we did our final walk thru. Inconsistent Workmanship and Poor Responsiveness

Upon closer inspection it was clear that they rushed in building our home. There was still a layer of dust when we moved in; The builder stated they would pay to have a professional cleaner come in but this was never completed and the builder has become unresponsive to any requests. We have ended up deep cleaning most of the surfaces ourselves but discovered several faulty workmanship issues as we cleaned the house. I purchased one of the models. It had several issues. The builder did a poor job correcting the issues and flat refused a few others that had it been a brand new house never would they let it happen.

Cindy our sales agent was great. We were told we could close after we got back from vacation, the sales manager than told us we couldn't and we needed to close before we left. After speaking with several people, they honored the original agreement. We did a walk through with the agent, there were alot of touchup and other items not working, to which I was told, would be corrected. Things they could have fixed during building and and before closing, was not done. Instead they moved it to a warranty issue that has taken way to much of our time and an added mess that could have all been avoided.

This is actually a really good efficient home, the problem is the finish work is horrible. They really need to have strong leaders to hold their sub contractors to a higher standard. You just can't push everything off to warranty and inconvenience the new home owner that have to wait on contractors to show up, if they show up and the extra mess it causes after you have already moved in. After my experience, I would never buy or recommend anyone buy a Lennar product. From a distance it looks great, but when you actually look closely, the workmanship is horrible. In the 4 months of living in my new construction home I've had a flood, ceiling leaks, and a loss of hot water due to a gas regulator issue. While most of these issues have been fixed, it was a battle and shouldn't happen to begin with in a new construction home.

Not a great first time building experience

Lack of communication throughout the home building process from the Construction Manager and Salesperson. Many things missed or shortcuts taken that I had to ask to go back and address. Flooring options are subpar, as we have already had to replace the cheap engineered hardwoods they use. I will think twice in the future prior to using Lennar.

Sales guy who originally sold us the home- fantastic! Everything else from there- terrible. Lennar lending is terrible I would not recommend them to my pets! Lots of shady backdoor stuff going on with them. The build of the house is ok, lots of little things they don't do which are basic things in my opinion- sealing granite and floors, just to name a few. Once home is purchased and need ur repairs done- ha! Good luck with that. Our building manager was NEVER anywhere to be found. I would never recommend a Lennar home. We had to buy from them because we wanted to be in the neighborhood where they were the only builder. Within one week of closing, shingles were blowing off the roof and within 3 weeks we were catching buckets of water from the leaks in the roof/ bathroom vents. I could go on for a long time but hopefully you get the idea. They are responsive to issues because thats how they manage their business, by never doing things right the first time.
