When looking at the home, we were told that ALL lawn and landscape maintenance was covered - lie. We were told that the gates would start to be closed for security - lie. We were told that the amenities we are paying for are for use of only residents - lie, because the gates are left open anyone can and do come in to user our sports courts, pool, and trespass fish. There were no lights fixtures in any of the bedrooms no towel bars in any of the bathrooms the painting was sloppy the cocking & plater was sloppy I expected more for as much as this house cost

Most of the poor experience began at the time of the final walk. Nothing on the list had been completed. Numerous drywall issues throughout, bad paint. Entire new build fit and finish left a lot to be desired. When meeting with Lennar Reps, a couple of them stated "I didn't build it". Frustrating to hear when you are speaking to someone wearing a Lennar shirt. Was finally able to get things sorted out but took a visit with Division President to do so.

Lennar has gotten so big they have lost sight of customer service and quality home building. It appears to be more about the sale and getting the houses up as fast as possible no matter what. Quality of the homes is seriously lacking. The interior finish work is extremely sloppy. The materials used are sub-standard. The interior paint job is one thin coat of flat paint. After third-party home inspection multiple areas were not to code and had to be redone. The home buying process is cumbersome and not buyer friendly.

Make sure your home is FULLY completed because once you move in they drag their feet on getting your repairs or even things that need to be completed, completed. The communication is extremely poor between their people and from the construction manager to contractors, etc.. been in my home for almost 2 months and still waiting on items to get fixed/completed. They are more concerned with selling more houses so they will try to complete those before really caring to attend to your needs although you have already moved into your home.

Thought we made a good choice. Buying part was rough and a lot of bad information and uninformed people. Once moved in, if we communicate issues found, nobody cares or shows up to fix them. Really thought Lennar was better than this. Thought wrong.

Of the entire process with Lennar, the best part was our Sales Agent. He was friendly, responsible and very responsive. With the construction team, there are a lot of opportunities for improvement, both from the strategic leadership and the ground execution team. From a strategic perspective, don’t nickel and dime on such a huge purchase. Make sure the fixtures are quality fixtures with a long life. House defect include: unfinished dry wall, recess not working and solar system still not working after many attempts to fix it. It had to take time off work to wait for contractors that do not show up. Just terrible.

Lowest quality home we've ever lived in

While the people that work at Lennar have been nice and ok to work with, the quality of the home simply is not there -- especially for the price. This is hands down the lowest quality home we have ever lived in despite it being the most expensive we have ever purchased. If there was a cheaper material to be purchased or a corner that could be cut, Lennar took it. Sadly we are not happy in our brand new home and do not recommend purchasing from Lennar.

Lennar is one of the largest homebuilders. I expected so much more from Lennar and our new home. Lennar tried to use the bully/gorilla approach to get us to sign paperwork (even inaccurate contract paperwork), and use all their services (Lennar Title, Lennar Escrow, Lennar Insurance, Lennar Design Center, Lennar Mortgage, etc.). For example, if you don't use both Lennar Escrow and Title, they jack up the price on Escrow fees to make it financially difficult not to use them. They offer incentives when you buy ($20K toward improvements) but then when you go to the design center to choose ...

Homes not tailored to buyer

These homes are not tailored to buyers, just to sell, if you expect that they will make even small changes to layout, color or anything for you, to the home, then you would need to go through a different builder, because they don't do that here, my experience is not a good one, so I will not recommend to others.

I would never buy a house from Lennar again! Lennar cut every corner possible to increase their profit. My townhome in the Estuaries in Huntsville is missing drywall in a closet, paint is peeling from the walls, and they didn't install crown molding or kitchen pendent lights to cut costs even though they used pictures with crown molding and lights in the advertisement. Multiple cabinets are broken by what looks like someone standing on the edge of the cabinet. My neighbor's shower had mortar or concrete poured down the drain by the builder and had to have his entire shower plumbing ...

I was pushed to close when the house was not finished and ready for closing just because Lennars only priority is to meet their monthly sales numbers, not client satisfaction, service and quality. There were multiple unfinished things in the house … the punch list at walkthrough had over fifty items that needed to be done or fixed. The model home and things in it are much different than the final products or things added to the different homesites. Finish is terrible, materials are cheaper than cheap. It feels like we need to renovate even though it's a new house.... the smallest toilets and appliances.

Lennar tries to build the homes too fast so this affects the quality of the workmanship. Creates a lot of warranty issues and rework. I have the worst ceiling I have ever seen with drywall issues. Once you close on the house they forget about you and take forever to finish uncompleted items. You become a low priority and they move on to building other houses. Very frustrating. Have to keep calling and keep getting put off with excuses. Construction managers only care about finishing the house and moving on to the next one. Why do they rush the closing when the house is not finished.

Homeowners are doing their part of maintaining their properties. However, LANNAR is lacking on their part. Overgrown grass and weed make it difficult to use the sidewalks. In addition, to getting bit by animals or reptiles in the Overgrown grass and crap grass.

So, there were multiple cracks on the masonry of our Lanai, it was hard to ignore. The construction manager kept saying it was within code. We had to put up quite the fuss, including consulting a lawyer to get them to fix the cracked Lanai on our supposed new house. Since moving in, one of our house numbers fell off. 3 out of the 4 house numbers were glued on instead of being nailed down. It's still not fixed. First, we needed to put in a service request online. Lennar rushed to close on the property. They scheduled 5 walk throughs at the same time with the same person. Units were lacking appliances, closet doors, garage doors and garage floor coating. The fit and finish represents a rushed build. It’s a month and a half later and unit is not complete.

All Seems Good Until Your Locked In

Lenders I worked with, (Jami in financing), rude and unprofessional. Building manager, (Tyler), (Natures Trail), makes promises that doesn't t come to fruition and loses key to home to my front door. Staff overall friendly, but once locked in, completely fade to 0. If Lennar wants to beat the competition, they should train their staff to be there for the customers even after the closing date.

I didn’t care for the experience Lennar had to offer, from loan approval to buying. You guys talk a big talk to get us in, but I didn’t care for the final product, I’m not one to complain because I know how to fix anything. But truly Lennar if I could say sux, I would but I just can’t.
