My bad experience was with Lennar Mortgage. With proof of employment, excellent credit and a generous down payment, they were not able to past the fact that my employer would not provide proof of remote employment. It was so frustrating that I paid cash for the house just not to have to deal with them. As far as the workmanship - overall, the house is fine but there are a list of issues where they just got lazy and did not check their own work.

Overall, Lennar builds a decent house. However, as I’ve now learned, local workers impact the quality of the final build and buying experience a great deal. My first Lennar home was immaculate at closing. This new one was not complete, had a long list of things to finish or redo, and very dirty. Since closing Lennar has made some effort, albeit very disjointed and longer than it should be, to take of the issues. The overall process wasn't smooth and the negotiation part could have been better. I didn't have a lot of trust in all that process, seemed like something was all the time hidden from me. When moved I noticed a lot of things were done quickly, just to be done. Especially painting and finished. Lots of things left unfinished which aren't covered by warranty. Overall process I think could have been better. For the future reference, try and negociate the more you can, don't rush and if you finance with Lennar and you don't like your mortgage officer, switch to a different one. That will ...

Going through Lennar for the mortgage got a better rate, but their people have no common sense. Totally aggravating. Closing was ok. Terrible follow up on punch list items. No call backs. Been in for over a month and they have disappeared, but still building across the street. I would not buy from them again.

If you are looking for a low-quality new home built by low skilled trades people Lennar is an option. Quality is below average, you are pushed to close regardless of the condition of the property.

The experience of purchasing the house was terrible. The project manager was never around, wouldn't return calls and didn't even make the final walk through of the house before my closing. Assuming he was busy and everything would be taken care of and fixed from our first walk through before closing - NEVER ASSUME SOMEONE WILL DO THEIR JOB. Buying the home at Orange Blossom was relatively simple, but getting any kind of response or accountability after closing is a completely different issue. Punch out items remain outstanding months later & the home is full of blue tape. Damaged fittings and poorly finished features detract from the pleasure of buying this home. Never assigned a Customer Service contact point, I find dealing with Lennar frustrating & unsatisfactory.

There were a few items that did not appear to be installed correctly when we moved into our home. However, Lennar customer service is probably the best we experienced. Their reps are very polite, responsive and professional taking care of any little detail that comes up.

Sub work was poor for painting and finishing. Our saving grace was Alan. He cleaned up the issues for us. Lennar title was difficult to work with. Would go with a back on the loan.

Great house terrible customer service. Tammy wouldn't talk to us regarding our closing cost. Dishwasher had to be replaced, the fridge hasn't worked for a month and the microwave had to have the fan replaced. I battle geese leaving waste on my driveway and yard. This is a huge health hazard. Like I said love the house but now have to live in conditions that I didn't ask for and not getting help with. There were 75 geese that were counted in my yard over the last weekend. Buying a house in this market is tough. We were thrilled to get the house and at the price we did. However, the loan process was pulling teeth to get anyone to respond. I sat at closing for 5 hours because they messed up paperwork and were not prepared. Our house is beautiful but they definitely cut corners on thing. We have random cement piles they tried covering up in the backyard, cabinet doors were put on the wrong direction. Cabinet under the kitchen sink completely fell off. I’m a little disappointed that the model home was sold as is. The house has definitely settled after being built and not attended to for the settling. There is nails starting to come through that was said nothing could be done. Treat the model home like a newly built home. The home had minor touch ups and was done very poorly. There was tons of confusion on closing dates and who was helping us with the home buying process. Once we closed and walked in the floors were still dirty and the place had not been cleaned. It wasn’t terrible but it could have been better.

If possible monitor your home being built from start to finish. Look closely at your walk through - there are lots of discrepancies to pick out as the contractors used during the home build are not attentive to detail.

Bought a brand new home. A/C already needed fixed. Took 2 weeks to get done and the temperature outside was in the 90s. Also, two months in, we STILL don’t have access to a mail box. Two outlets have stopped working in the kitchen. Solar panels have still not been activated when they said they should be. Overall, disappointed in my overall experience of buying a half a million dollar home.

The entire friend end process to buying a home with Lennar was a nightmare dealing with Sandra, Amanda and their manager during the process to get approved for a loan. Had to be some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Steve Renshaw was the one exception to a breath of fresh air with his knowledge and professionalism. The home itself looked great and the project manager Dan was great to deal with. Upon moving in we've noticed a few more hiccups here and there, but overall satisfied with the home and neighborhood. They respond quickly to necessary repairs or maintenance

Agent was not very good about getting back to my realtor on the purchase of the home. Had to contact her more than once. Even had to go to a supervisor to get updates. Issues with electrical after I moved in. But can say very prompt on coming to fix.

I absolutely hated dealing with Lennar Mortgage, you kept checking my credit score which made it go lower in order to charge me a higher interest rate. Dealing with LM is like dealing with the devil. The worst experience I've had in many years.

The builders were great, the mortgage people were great but the initial sales rep, Andy, was a pain to work with making the overall experience terrible. I had to run down answers to my questions on the status of my house/lot several times and when questioning what the hold up was I was only ever told no updates. For a first time home buying experience it was pretty terrible.
