Document everything with Lennar. Communication through email or text message so you have something in writing. Only reason there are two stars is because my realtor was awesome and the Builder Rusty is absolutely amazing.

Lennar - It’s only been a few months and every day I find something else

It’s only been a few months and every day I find something else that was done wrong. The paint job looks like it was done by a blind person or someone who didn’t care. The bench in the primary bathroom is unusable and a host of other issues. I could not in good faith recommend a builder who would release a $400k+ home as if it was an auction as is house. Shame on Lennar!!!

Lennar - Builder not addressing the problen with garbage around dumpsters

Builder not addressing the problen with garbage around dumpsters and community streets . Builder allowing sub Contractors to play loud music disturbing residents. No quality check of home before released to buyer. Pets policy not enforced or addressed.

Many issues with the home that still remain. Sloppy finish work that looks like it was rushed. Expected a lot more for the price and how the Lennar representatives boast about their product.

The worst experience ever

The sales agent was great, other than that it is been horrible, material are cheap , craftsmanship is even worst. 5 months after closing the house still dealing with issues that were not addressed before closing Customer service is horrible. An unresponsive. At these point I am considering hiring a lawyer to deal with the issues In My house.

We have had problems after problems and then are never contacted again. And when we make contact again we are told they will be there to fix something soon and then they don’t fix it. The few things they have “fixed” are then shortly after broken again. I absolutely do not recommend.

Lennar is not responsive after the sale. You will have issues as no house is perfect even custom built houses. But you will have issues getting Lennar to respond to your issues within your year warranty period. If you buy Lennar do not close until your issues are taken care of.

Unfixed and unresolved Issues

The sales team and the builder were amazing. I have had very terrible experience with customer service. My doorbell stopped working and it took 2 months before I could get it fixed. I have outstanding repair work, and I have had 2 no call no shows and last time a Manager actually stopped by and promised things will be resolved quickly. I have not heard anything. Part of my door was broken before moving in. It is still broken and no one has come to fix it. Overall, the customer service team are unreliable and don't particularly care about the customer. Build manager, customer "care" rep. missed several appointments, didn't contact to reschedule and overall left our new home purchase experience lacking. Didn't expect much and Lennar matched our expectations! Such a shame...

Lennar - Initially presentations were good.

Initially presentations were good. Communication throughout the process has been lacking, specifically we were not told about delays. We were told projected meetings and weeks passed without contact. We were told we would be told if there were delays that would affect the delivery date. We were not told. This affected several things for us. That seems false. False expectations were set as if to commit us without follow through from Lennar. Dissatisfied. Would never recommend Lennar to anyone. Very unfortunate and negative impact.

The sales associates were absolutely amazing hence the two stars, but that was it. The two months leading to closing on the home, we had miscommunication after miscommunication with the loan team and didn't receive confirmation on our loan into 2 days before closing pending documentation that we uploaded two months prior to closing. The communication between staff was horrible. For example my husband and I would talk to someone in the loan department and would expect that message to be delivered to the each person on our mortgage case, but instead we would have to explain our self again and again for the same matter. We also had short notice when it came to gathering information to be sent over, and was then told certain things would be accepted but came to find out later in the home-buying process it’s not accepted. Prior to purchasing our new Lennar home, I read some reviews on the web. There were more negative reviews than I would have expected. I addressed this with our sales consultant and he simply said that because of the size of Lennar, there would be more negative reviews than with other builders and likewise there would be more positive reviews. Memorable in the not so positive way..

The lack of a coordinated messaging for closing fate, initial purchase price fluctuations, nonresponsiveness from the NHC, numbers changing in estimate sheet the day before closing, etc etc pick an unpleasant moment and I experienced it! Now, the ladies at Lennar closing and Crystal from Inspections made up for the anxiety riddled moments! Oh, and the response for when you place a service request is stellar!
