Upon first look, everything looks fantastic when the keys are turned over. However, the real problems show up after a couple of weeks of living n the house. After being told during our new homeowner orientation that we would have a 1 year walk-through to fix any issues that come up in the first year, we were informed that Lennar no longer performed this and everything had to be submitted through the Warranty system. I have had a very disappointing experience with the responsiveness of Lennar to issues. I called out issues weeks before closing and it took until 6 weeks after closing to start addressing them, some are still not done. Brianna is great but the rest of the team is non responsive and gives updates that do not materialize.

We purchased a spec home, so, we had no choice in our finishes. We wanted to push settlement by two weeks which Lennar would not allow. However, when we settled there were many items not finished in the property. They could have used the two weeks to complete the work. The painting, caulking, tile work etc. were not professionally done. Our contractor who we met at the final walk through was good. He was responsive and helpful. However, there are several items that were on the list to be completed or replaced that have not been completed. We have been here for 4 months.

I purchased this home due to hot market and inflation. I couldn’t pick out my own options. Ok, fine. Their construction managers were the worst to dealt with. I had to go to their managers to get approval for everything. Their professionalism made my home buying experience a nightmare. On top of that, too many things were wrong with the house prior to settlement. After settlement, moved in and found more issues with the house. Construction manager did not get a lot of it fixed. Be very careful. Dot the eyes and cross the tees. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR LENNAR MORTGAGE BROKER AND TITLE CLOSER- AS YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER. Unresponsive after the sale. I am sure this will not get posted!

If I know what I had to go throw, I wouldn’t have gone with Lennar. The are responsive as they are trying to sign you up to buy the house and once you do, they disappear, the customer service is horrible, they don’t explain anything, you stay in limbo waiting for them to tell what happening and they will keep rescheduling forever and then when you get to talk to somebody, you get nothing but attitude. I don’t recommend it.

I’ve been overall pretty disappointed with Lennar throughout the entire home buying process, even afterwards dealing with issues that continue to arise. As I ask around, I hear more and more how Tampa area Lennar has a bad reputation and I wish I knew that coming in.

The home was supposed to be fully wired for alarm service only two windows out of six were properly wired. Workmanship and quality of product wasn’t up to par. Low grade windows only the bottom tilts in for for cleaning. And the windows had a lot of silicone around the frame Leaking out very sloppy work . From the paint to the caulking and seals very hastily done and not properly done . The workers spilled glue on the floor still trying to get that all off. Communication was the biggest problem working with Lennar. As a first-time homebuyer, my experience was ruined because of my sales rep. The title company also gave me poor service as well. I was called after 6 pm to close on my house at 8 pm because that day I wasn’t even sure If I would since I didn’t hear from anyone. So I didn’t leave the title company until 10 pm.

Monitor every detail. We have crooked walls, cracked trim, cabinet doors all needed replacement including at least ten doors. Lennar definitely cut corners to get this house done asap. Instead of getting a new house, we now have a house that has had a lot of work redone and looks patchy. Floor boards were cracked and scratched during install. Found plastic in our furnace. Window and plumbing issues. Basically every trade has had to return to our home to fix something.

My wife and I were so excited about moving into our new townhouse in Florida. We were all prepared to turn key and settle in. We were not prepared for what we encountered when we arrived home after closing. The customer service from Lennar and the vendors is poor. Waiting for weeks and months for simple fixes and repairs is ridiculous. The follow up from the builder to individual contractors is non existent to very poor. The homes are being closed before they are ready. So many of the issues we and our neighbors have addressed should have been taken care of before closing. We can only hope the the overall quality of the home is good and that we won’t be facing issues for years to come. Also why isn’t the second phase of the amenities completed let alone started. I am overall so disappointed in my new home and the experience that I had purchasing that, six months in, I am considering selling. I have already had leaks around the toilet because the pedestal sat too high - no one bothered to fix it before I moved in. They had to remove the toilet and the flooring, sand down the large concrete bump in the foundation and replace the flooring and toilet - an easy fix if you do it right the first time. It's a shame that Lennar doesn't care about getting the home buyer a quality finished product. They used decent enough materials. We like the home designs and there are many thoughtful details put into the design and layout of the home. But due to poor construction management and workmanship on the finishing aspects, they've cost us as the home buyer, time, money, inconvenience, and frustration after the move in. You use by far the cheapest products from appliances to folding doors Worst of all is the exhaust vents on the roof. When the wind blows the flapper inside bangs and bangs. I’ve looked at a sample vent and it is cheap cheap cheap With no real fix Mgmt tells me to but my own and install it Wow I won’t recommend your product in the future

It may be a common practice, but Lennar is among those builders who simply clear-cut every living thing wherever they build. The fact that they also use Bermuda grass means that for long periods of the year you will be living in an area completely devoid of anything green and living. Additionally, the home I bought was rife with issues including a severely uneven foundation in one room that still wasn't fixed by move-in even though it had been brought to the builder's attention many weeks earlier. I spoke to 4 different people letting them know each time that Id rather pay more money than use the Lennar mortgage company. Terrible sales ethics on your part. This one terrible part of the experience is what ruined it for us. Don’t email/call me about this. I’m tired of talking to your people.
