The paint used for the defects found on the walls or doors did not match. We have not even moved in the house and there is a crack in the living area already.

We were eager to purchase our first home and had received credit and work history approval from Lennar. After viewing one house, we were informed it was available and proceeded to sign the paperwork. However, upon noticing the incorrect address on the documents the following day, we brought it to the attention of Joe, who informed us that the original house had been sold and that he had reassigned us to a different house with the same floor plan without our consent. We requested a change, which resulted in us opting for a more expensive house. As the closing date approached, the deal fell apart. We subsequently cancelled our contract and chose a different builder, noticing a significant difference in quality. Consequently, we strongly advise against working with Lennar and recommend exploring alternative builders in the area. Keep all email traffic to and from Lennar if you do buy from them, also took longer than 3 days for my escrow refund. ... More

This purchase experience is Lennar's second chance at earning our business. The sales experience on our first experience in Elburn, IL caused us to walk away. This second experience was better and enough to get our business. The home we chose has the space to suit our needs. The lot is good. We were able to choose some finishes, but the outside finishes were finalized, or so we thought. We were told that the brick was backordered, and what we were shown was more of a contrast between the siding that what we actually received on the build. When we were asked about the brick that was backordered, we were not given a choice and were told by the sales person that ("We will like what they choose anyway"). This irritated both of us. If we are asked for a choice, then that choice should be respected and delivered. The house was completed on time. The orientation was great. The guy did the orientation is stationed at the neighborhood in Hinckley. He did a great job. On closing day, the manager in charge of the neighborhood where we bought did a great job as well and has been responsive. The advice of both of them has been valuable. We appreciate it. The closing process irritated us. It took us 90 minutes to drive to the title company for a 30 minute closing. This was a waste of our valuable time when closings can be completed virtually. We cannot rate the responsiveness of issues as we have not had any yet (knock on wood). I did receive a threatening letter from Lennar regarding our mortgage in the mail. When I called, I was sent the threatening letter because there was a mistake in closing that affected the home warranty on the house. This angered me as we did not deserve the threatening letter in the first place. The woman who answered the phone attached to the number I was directed to call did not want to hear my dissatisfaction to the threatening letter sent to me because a mistake was made during the closing and quickly ended the call. As far as the house goes, so far so good. I wish the HVAC had a humidifier on it. I wish the windows came with blinds. The house is comfortable, and the space is packaged well. We are looking forward to getting our yard so we are not surrounded by mud. ... More

Sunstone is a nice community. The entire process was fairly easy. Communication to issues was quick and easy. I am satisfied with everything.

The home buying experience was quick, efficient and relatively easy. There were some workmanship issues but they are being remedied. Communication with Lemnar staff was thorough and helpful.

From start to finish, the process was smooth and well‑organized. The Lennar sales, contractor, financial, and community teams were consistently responsive, helpful, and clear in their communication. Every step was well supported, and the staff followed through on their promises. Overall, it was a great experience that made the transition from buying to moving in smooth. This purchase was more of a have to than a want to. Lennar was difficult to deal with. They are absolute in their process, with no latitude for the buyer. I also found the company representatives to be less than trustworthy. Watch your backside!

I was very pleased with the process of buying my home at Lennar. The sales agent Carlo was very knowledgeable and provide me a good rate on my new home with Closing incentives that made me make the decision to consider buying from Lennar. The mortgage lady Melissa was very accommodating and she offered me the best rate for my loan with the terms that I wanted. The loan process was quite fast, but the approval was a little lengthy I wasn’t sure when I was going to do the walk-through and the closing. The construction manager to discuss some items that I needed them to clean up before closing, but everything was taken care of in a timely manner. Overall, I’m very satisfying and pleased with the whole process in buying my new home in Tampa, where my family members live. I truly felt like the lender cared. He was dedicated to getting my family in our home. Even the builders were great. Great communication. Process was smooth.

This was my first experience purchasing a home with Lennar, and I was initially skeptical about coordinating everything remotely while based in Minnesota and buying a property in Florida. Nicole, the sales agent we worked with, was a thorough professional and made the process feel seamless from her end. Quite frankly, if not for Nicole, I would have withdrawn from the transaction altogether, as my experience with several other stakeholders in the process was subpar to poor. My experience with Lennar Mortgage, unfortunately, was the worst I have had in my last 15 years and across six mortgage transactions. The team lacked sufficient knowledge and was unable to answer many of my questions, which forced me to go back and forth between mortgage, contracts, and other entities to get basic clarity. If the mortgage team is responsible for providing quotes, pricing addendums, and final disclosures, they should be able to clearly and convincingly address customer questions, rather than simply stating, “this is the way it works.” The lack of clarity and ownership made the process unnecessarily painful. In addition, there were significant delays in receiving responses, often requiring multiple follow-ups. During inspection and at closing, several items were identified that needed to be addressed, and I had to follow up repeatedly to get them resolved. In fact, there are still open issues that remain outstanding. Overall, this was a very painful experience—one that customers should not have to go through, especially during what is supposed to be an important and positive life milestone. ... More

My experience buying from Lennar was mostly good. The team that assisted me was friendly and quite quick with the process. The house is spacious and beautiful, and it includes appliances such as air conditioning, a stove with an oven, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, a water purifier, and an irrigation system for the outdoor plants. The construction materials feel cheap, although they look beautiful. Finally, my experience with Lennar's title company was quite bad. Overall, their service was good and friendly, but they made many mistakes and didn't prepare the documents as both parties had agreed from the beginning. My recommendation is that if you buy from Lennar, choose a different title company. These were the pros and cons I had in my specific experience; other people may have a different experience. ... From the gecko we came in with our own realtor and met Mark with Lennar made our process so easy by showing us homes he even brought out the go kart because he saw how excited my kids were to ride in one. Closing was so easy Peezy no hassle thank you for making our first one sounds amazing! Shout out Luis with the builder side he has been a great answering questions as well about the home

Everyone was quick to respond to any issues, questions or concerns.

From the moment we sign the sells agreement to the now, dealing with the entire sales staff, the loan officer staff, the title company, and now the warranty staff, they have lied to us, did everything to deceive us, provide low bid ghetto products. Lennar are criminals they should all be in jail.

The floor is not good, quality of the appliances is bad

In the first two weeks of living in the house, i'm very fond of the floor plan and the quality of the finish. the house is very well insulated and the appliances provided with the house r four in excess of standard builder quality appliance.

biggest problem was the appliances were not very well made. we have replaced almost all of them. people very helpful. dishwasher broke after using twice. microwave made noise. washing machine very noisey. stove was replaced only because we wanted induction cooking.

I have had a very difficult time me window treatments the windows are all out of square. I had to return $5000. dollars worth of custom cut window treatments to Lowe’s due to the windows being out of square, and yes Lowe’s did do the measurements for the blinds. I am meeting with 2 more blind businesses this week, hopefully they can get the blinds made and installed. The back porch ceiling shakes so badly in the wind it sounds like it going to tear away and the outside vent on the stove hood flaps so loud in the wind. I called the project manager about all of these issues and he said everything was installed per the manufacturer plans and the issues are “normal”. Also I think the garage should have been finished in the price of the house. The DR Horton house I live in now had a finished garage, and window treatments installed in the building phase. The street behind the garage is not wide enough. If the across neighbors are parked in their driveway and we can’t use part of their driveway to get into ours we run over the grass. The Sod has issues all around the house, sunken places, spots that are bare. It is embarrassing for me to have these issues in a $500k dollar home. How can all of this be normal? The truth is that it is bad design and poor craftsmanship. I don’t live in the house, it’s a rental investment property and I’m frankly very concerned about complaints that may come and according to the project manager there’s nothing that can be done.
