We thought highly of Lennar and it was our dream to buy a Lennar Home. The process started with great hopes, agents were really nice. But we face lot of disappointments during construction and post construction. The construction manager is rude, the issues that we reported during construction were denied to be fixed and we got bad treatment from the construction manager. When we moved into our new home, within weeks we started seeing several issues from water softener connection not connected to kitchen, heating connection was not accurately done, our refrigerator loses power every week with ...

New home orientation advisor was a joke.

Builder was okay to work with. Lack of organization when it came to my closing date due to not having my CO which caused closing to be moved several times. Because I signed a materials shortage addendum some of the materials did not seem to be of equal value as to what was in the model. Mostly pertaining to the showers in the home. Also did not like my new home orientation advisor who was at my walk throughs. He was rude and argumentative throughout the whole process. He would argue about things such as how my elevation should look, which the builder did fix . Then in order to get me to ...

Lennar - Since moving into my second Lennar home, I have lost all confidence

  • Bernard D.

Since moving into my second Lennar home, I have lost all confidence in your workmanship and follow-up to building deficiencies. It took about six weeks to finally get a dishwasher that worked after being given a model that was no longer even sold by GE and they couldn’t find a replacement part; I’ve had multiple doors actually falling off because the screws used are too small (I’m afraid to let my 8 year old near them in fear of them falling on her head!) and these are still unrepaired (4 months and still waiting). The one bright light has been your head maintenance person, who has gone well ...

The beginning of my experience was great! However, after moving in I’m so disappointed in response to issues! I have a roof issue and I’ve been waiting almost 4 months and it is still not resolved. I’ve had to contact corporate and I’m hoping the man I’m dealing with will help! I was told I bought a production home!! Yes, but I expected quality!

Upgraded cabinets were not cared for. After installation we saw several small indents, scratches and paint chips. Flooring was put in with three spot of red sharpie showing, can find a way to remove them without damaging the visual appreance. Sod was installed without any watering being done. Struggling greatly with that this summer. One of our trees died. ( Yes we watered it). Drywall screws are backing out like crazy. This is making painting nightmare. For almost $400,000. We thought we would get more quality out of it. Lots of headaches to go through this first year. Lots of short cuts ...

Don’t expect service after they have your money. We closed 1st week of Feb 2021 still waiting for them to complete work orders for repair or correction of items in build. Less then half have been completed or started. Items like door cracked, bad refrigerator, drywall repair. painting are just a few things. This is mid June 2021. Great place to live great lot. Extremely stressful when you paid for something you did not get and promises broken. Our Construction Manager was good then got overwhelmed with other new builds. Not enough help to take care of homeowners who already paid!

As a Experienced Homeowner I was Very disappointed with the builder’s team. Outside Financing, if at Possible regardless of the “Builders Incentive”it’s not worth it you will pay in the end. With a large down payment I still have a (PMI)! After you have finalized the purchase of your New Home your concerns will be slow with Repairs & Warranties. Not Timely! The concept of a NextGEN home is awesome, But the Quality of the building materials are Inexpensive and Cheap, (Cabinets). Small bedrooms and garage. Upgrades are sold to you as a packaged. No flexibility or choice. Very limited. ...

The process in the application was ok, however, information regarding what was covered and offered, was not clearly explained. We closed on our house in September and there is still items from our walkthrough that have not been corrected. Lennar doesn’t care about us as customers AFTER we sign on the dotted line! The workers that they have working for them are horrible and do horrible work! Moving here from Atlanta, we always heard good things about Lennar but from this experience we will never buy a Lennar home again.
