-A large pattern of sod was stolen from our backyard the day of or right before closing and took a month to be replaced. -The wrong addressed deadbolt was installed on our front door so we couldn't properly secure our home until they got the right address. Took a week. -Cracked/loose fitting water meter box. Was told it’d be fixed after the blue tape walk, never fixed or communicated to about being fixed after closing -Along with the sod being stolen, a lightbulb was also taken from the front yard, leading me to believe the builders took it from my property to put elsewhere. It was a nightmare from the time construction started

We identified several issues during construction and Lennar was largely non-responsive. We closed with a tear in the carpet of one bedroom. It took 7 weeks for them to correct the issue. Once they finally came to fix it!, It took approximately 2 hours. We had similar experience with other issues.

Lennar responded:
Hi there, we apologize for the lack of responsiveness and the length that it took to correct the issue. Please reach out to us if you need anything else with your home. -Lennar Customer Care

The sales manager was very hostile to me and showed zero human feeling to any challenges that the buyer has. His goal was just to get the property sold at the end of the month to preserve his bonus. This is the most inhuman treatment I have ever had from a seller of a home and I expected Lennar to do better.

Lennar responded:
Hi Mr. Aig, we want to apologize for the inhumane treatment that you received. We always want to make our homeowners feel cared for and a part of us. Horrible experience with construction and walkthroughs

  • Diana W.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • March 19, 2024
  • Homeland, CA

We had issues with our walkthroughs and continue to have issues almost 2 months after closing. Each walkthrough, construction issues were not addressed and more issues were created due to sloppy workmanship. We had a confrontation with the construction supervisor, Rob, and then he called the salesperson, Allen, while we were in the office to yell and cuss him out for allowing us into the home that we had already put money down. A crack in our kitchen cabinet was addressed multiple times and the same crack continues to come back because it was somehow caulked rather than replacing the cabinet. ...

Lennar responded:
Hi Diana, we are truly sorry about the negative experience you went through during your walkthrough. We uphold quality to the highest standard and these issues that you went trough are no exception. We are going to be informing our division leader about this issue to address. - Lennar Customer Care

Very courteous repair staff. polite and courteous real estate agents. Very poor workmanship. Tried but did not resolve the major issue such as cold area in house. Draft is coming in bathroom and dining area. Sulphur smell's in one closet. Garage door is making noise. door bell is not working. Driveway is falling apart. Comparing to KHOV house, it seems very poor workmanship and low quality material.

If you have options, choose a different company!

Build Quality is a 2/10, and that’s being generous. They cut corners and use the cheapest options available. Communication is often short and their staff will not give you a concrete answer about any issues. The contractors leave out a lot of trash, food, and building materials, and when it blows into your yard or property area, they do not care and do not clean it up. The sod/grass they gave our entire community was dead upon arrival and it took them over a month to deliver it when it was supposed to be delivered 5-12 days after closing. Our home was not cleaned prior to our arrival; it had ...

Had a really bad experience, the sales person lie to us, was misleading and overall the experience was awful. The materials are cheap and the work is fast done, the pain the workmanship is poorly done and fast way done, when you are paying almost a half of million for your home you expect to be done properly, just very disappointed and will not recommend it to anyone not even my worst enemy

Can’t believe Lennar would want me to reiterate the nightmare of an experience home buying at Willow Springs has been. Fraudulent actions on so many levels, and a home that has had numerous issues within the first week of moving in. Non responsive customer service department. Love the location, but absolutely shocked at the multitude of issues upon move in, and the fact that they are still unresolved six weeks later!

Make sure to check everything before closing. They will rush you saying you will miss the closing by promising we will do it later. After closing, they will change it saying you have to reach out to warranty team. This is ridiculous. Hvac switches are interchanged, light dome is missing. Backyard landscaping screwed up. Lot more to say.. Sales person involve in everything and when you say something is not right, the response is let construction team handles it. Shame!!

I recently bought a home with Lennar what started a smooth process quickly went sour.. As expected the lender needed a lot of information and documentation which was fine but as time went on they kept going back and fourth on what they needed even asking for forms that were not available and disregarding the documents I sent that had the information they were looking for although a long process and poor expectations being set I understand it’s a lot to work with but could have been made easier and more coordinated. When I finally closed on the hike after changing the expected move in date ...

Constant threats of losing your deposit even though they didn't approve you and sends you to another place to get approved very sketchy. They approve you even though you cant actually afford a property to make a sale. The house itself was way overpriced for the area in what you actually get, no fans anywhere in the home and all bedrooms don't even have lights wtf is that. A bunch of damage that was identified through the walkthroughs that still have not been fixed and its been 3-4 months already. They leave you with a dirt backyard no grass or anything and left a BUNCH of construction trash ...

Construction quality is very poor. When issues are bring to construction manager he states that is going to be fix but most is not being done yet. My AC just stop working and contact the construction manages and he send a ticket to the company that install it, and now they are saying that I'm going to be charged for them to go and look what is the problem, I just move in and it is under warranty but still being charged. Hope all the issues get resolved but have almost no faint in the construction people and if the same people who did it wrong is sent to fix it, I don't see how is going to be ...

Disappointing build quality

I’ve been terribly disappointed in the build quality of this house overall. The whole house feels rushed. The garage was left in terrible shape. The drywall tape isn’t fully secured to the wall. They used mud to cover big gaps around light fixtures, windows, and calk around door panels. The furnace was labeled incorrectly in the fuse panel, which was discovered because it kept blowing the fuse. When the electrician came to fix it he looked at the furnace and found it was wired incorrectly. Wires weren’t tightened down causing the power to arc, and trip the fuse. There is a full size wood nail ...

Poor craftsmanship and low budget materials and design decisions. The sales team only cares about one thing; taking your money and the construction / install team do not take any pride in their work. The communication between all departments was terrible. They are all reactive and not proactive in more ways than one. If I had to do it all over again I would not buy a home with Lennar. I do not recommend this company and if know anyone considering in purchasing a home with Lennar I would advise them to reconsider.

The home loan experience was horrible with lennar. So many issues with the house after 60 days and still not resolved. Hopefully they will come and fix some issues soon. Some repairs are still waiting to get fixed and I’m sure they already forgot what ones. They told me after 30 days the painters will come in and do a touch up. Still have not seen them yet. My wife went and bought a bucket of paint to do our own touch ups. Not happy about that at all. Poor craftsman ship with the home in general.

In side Drywall filling is worse, we can able to hear the fan noise in bathroom from the attic. Even if the exhaust fan is on in any bathroom, we can able to hear the noice in Sittings area or in the Kitchen. Our Rented Apartment is much better in terms of privacy( we cannot hear the people chatting voice from one Bedroom to another.) Tom, New Home Consultant, was always communicated and was extremely helpful throughout the process. We raised issues during the build about things that were concerns to us, when we received the house the issues were not addressed/fixed. We now live in a house that the garage door opener does not work, the floor in the master bedroom has a creaking sound that can be heard downstairs and outside the room, a tube we cannot put our wires in for our tv because of the sharp turn and no rope installed for us, one stair on the basement stairs that is different material then the rest of the stairs, ...
