I was told that there would be blindes included for the house but they weren’t and there was NO discussion. Then the rain comes and I was hesitant to close because of the damage. I was assured that all would be takes care of. BUT the. Solar is on the roof waiting to be installed. I think that the quality of the home is not there ... The home that I moved from was built in 2013 and the quality is in that house. You have cut Back so much (no handles, lighting, fireplaces finish, flooring,carpet). The carpet upstairs in the house you can see the seams,When that was brought to your attention we were told nothing could be done; REALLY?. For what that house cost it is disappointing!!!! ... More

Not happy with company. Would not recomend

We moved into our new Lennar home about a month ago. For the price we paid, I would expect the quality of the home build to be great but I have been sorely mistaken. The paint job is terrible. Some base boards were primed but not painted. It seems like there was only one coat of paint applied to the whole house and actually needs to have 2. There were scratches on faucets and cabinets. Glue on the tile. Multiple chipped tiles through out the house. Paint on the tile. Light switches hung crooked. The house was not cleaned well prior to us moving in. I have submitted for warranty and they have been great at addressing most of my concerns however the paint job is a huge issue because the whole house really needs to be repainted by the builder. I’m so disappointed and frustrated. To get the additional coat of paint on the baseboards, I have come to the conclusion that I will have to be the one to repaint them myself. I shouldn’t have to fix something that the builder should have done the right way in the first place. This home appears to have been built on a shoe string budget with corners cut anyway possible to save money for a big price tag. So disappointed!! Lennar needs to step up their came and pay more attention to the craftsmanship of the home. ... More

I wouldn’t buy a Lennar home again. I have been trying nearly two months to get warranty items repaired. One being my front door lock. I have to make a 10 mile round trip to pick up my mail as my mail box station has been broken five plus months. And the list goes on.

The quality of construction, materials used and addressing service requests has been disappointing for the amount of money we paid to buy this house.

The sales person was awesome to deal with through the whole process and is the only person that helped me resolved major construction issues. The Lennar Construction Rep was not knowledgeable and lacked insight and dedication to resolve issues identified by me or a 3rd party inspector. Now I’m dealing with major and minor construction warranty issues with no follow up by a new Lennar Warranty rep. Seems like it’s a common thing.

I did expect a new build to take maybe two months, but not more than four months from our original move in date per our contract. As nice as the people are, their attentiveness and sense of urgency are very much lacking. I am in finance and customer service. We all get overwhelmed. However, we expect to get back to our clients like any industry! I am still waiting on things for my new home that I have not received, and I’ve been there more than a month. My neighbors had much worse issues and I’m lucky we did not go through what they endured. The mail issue was very bad and I still don’t have everything because we were given the wrong keys. Just like my neighbors were. The USPS and the builder did not coordinate this correct. The HOA company has hired the worst garbage and recycle partner we could ever get. They don’t pick up consistently and we have trash always outside! What’s the point in paying a fee every month if we don’t get the service part of it? Make sure you get an independent inspection and all punch list items are completed before closing on the house. After market services are slow to get done. Look at paint and caulking for cleanup, painting is sloppy. Lennar Customer Care is a joke. They want to do virtual inspections, which does not tell the real issue.

Lennar initially tried to sell the house 15k over price of the property advertised on THEIR website and did not honor that price. Furthermore, when the appraisal came back 15k under sale price they did not notify me and show me the appraisal even though that was part of the contract, I had to find out for myself a day before closing. I have been in the house for 6 weeks and still have warranty items open including a window that was not installed correctly with an inch gap at the top allowing water to come in. Home quality is very disappointing. The walls and door were not smoothened. It is very sharp, adults and kids get scratch and hurt when hitting the walls, doors and door holders. Flooring was not fully settled and humpy bumpy

Terrible communication throughout the purchase process. Then they tried to delay our closing 1 day before it was scheduled. Now, 2 months after closing, they refuse to provide any warranty service and just close your tickets without any response. Just a terrible company, if you are looking for a new home, look elsewhere. Run, dont walk, away from Lennar.

Lennar representative explained everything as common and normal where poor quality of workmanship and bad materials were pointed. His name is Kurt. For example when I pointed a standing water he, said it is normal for drainage. There was a gap in the main door and frame and Kurt said he will block with the bubble gum he was chewing. This is not acceptable and he is very rude and disrespected to us.

I was raised in a family of building contractors and at age 14, started working in all phases of construction. That's 60 years of experience. Regarding Lennar, rarely have I seen such sub standard construction, cheap finishes, no attention to detail, terrible service and lack of credibility. I have a library of photo's to share if anyone is interested in my claims that follow. Instead of using a multi tool, holes are pounded out of sheetrock and cabinetry with a hammer. Hand railings, faucets, toilets, electrical boxes are often not square. A worker painted my handrail, leaving the bird poop and stucco mud under the paint. This was corrected after I complained to construction manager. Example of service: I needed a faulty 20 amp breaker replaced (a $6 item at Lowes). After 2 months I gave up on Lennar. I purchased the breaker and had an electrician install. it. The service call cost me $125, but worth getting past the aggrevation. My ongoing and worst experience is living in our building. It hasn't yet been turned over to the HOA, and consequently hasn't been cleaned or maintained. We've been living in a dirty, litter strewn building for 2 months. Overall, the buyer needs to provide significant oversight to the quality product. We had over 96 items on the original punch list which happened approximately four weeks prior to closing. On the day of closing there still over 25 items not taken care of. Lennar needs to implement better quality control procedures.

The home buying process was a nightmare from having a processor who had been only been working for 2 weeks in his position to a lender who had only been working in hers for a month. Closing day I still didn’t know my closing costs, I’ve now been in my home a month. I’ve run into SEVERAL issues from a faulty breaker box, to a improperly installed garage door just to name a few. I’ve put in SEVERAL repair requests and not one of the items have been completed. The communication is horrible, if you need anything repaired be prepared to pay for it out of pocket because you will be completely ignored. The was a huge pressing for closing. Townhome was delivered with several issues. Two months after the closing, there are issues open yet. Do not recommend.

The quality of workmanship is a serious concern. Also the warranty work is not good either. I should have purchased from a better builder.

I'll say the sales member for Lennar was probably the best employee Lennar has. He was always returning calls and finding solutions for us if we had an issue. On the other hand, the builder was not. The builder/CM was always giving some excuse and or promising something and not coming through. We have since closing, realized how much he missed in the building process as well as didn't do something he said he would before close. Have heard rumors that he's just average in terms of CM and was not the best one on this development. I can certainly attest to that at this point.

I feel may be they were bias with me, may be on purpose because I asked for things they had on contract but were not delivering and were finding excuses, some homeowner says they got lots of thing as add on to their house, but I got nothing. well construction manager was so rude that he does not want to fix visible dent on garage floor, then paint issues and even had provided wrong paint code and when I did touch up with that paint code it does not match the wall paint they had painted, exact paint is not available within 40 miles of Garner NC, and they don't give sample to homeowner for touch ups. finance team will lure you by saying they give 5k or 10k towards closing cost if you finance with them, but actually they just want to get that money back to their own finance company account in the name of buying point. as the lower rate is already available outside but due to that 5k or 10k offer you get in their trap. there is no escalation process, like I literally have to google to find some contacts to escalate the matter and the horrible part is that nobody called or talked to understand all the concern. must say there are other builders doing really great as I had seen some other friends getting best in class house as well as service from entire team. Lennar does not care to even talk to customer, at-least for me they were not. other homeowner in my same community says they took care of all the issues and gave them extra appliances and fixed few things on curtsey but for me they discriminated and were bias . ... Not built to the quality that they showcase in the model homes. The contractors that build for Lennar have no sense of ownership to maintain a quality product. So much money is wasted by senseless mistakes and timing of the building process.

I was promised so much more than I ended up getting. It took a year past the date I signed to get my place. It is called a luxury community, but it is far from that the grass is dead. The trees are dead. they promised a pool by summer. It has also got pushed out for another year. Other communities around us have surpassed our build up even with later start dates. They lack attention to detail in the house and on the exterior of the house. The outlets are crooked. The baseboards are crooked. The windows have caulking gunk built up that you have to remove yourself with a sharp tool grout is missing from the tile they placed. I pay a high HOA fee, and the exterior looks like hell, and there are literally no amenities.There is a huge fly and spider problem. during the building process they changed my floors without giving me any updates. I had to point them out myself, and they did nothing about it. The cabinets have chips. The windows are scratched and these are things they will not come fix because you can’t necessarily take a photo of them from 10 feet away. ... More

They use cheap carpet, cheap drywall, and when you purchase a brand new build, you expect things to work. I have had to call and set up a plethora of appointments to fix things that weren't working or were installed incorrectly. Don't do it! The one good thing is the customer service for fixing the issues is actually really great.

We purchased our Lennar home in May, and when we did our final walk through a number of items were still not finished or were finished with poor workmanship. We were assured the items would be finished before our celebratory walk and they weren’t. I have found over 90 items that need to be addressed, some as serious as bad wiring, no electrical throughout the home, broken appliances, water heater not properly installed and the list unfortunately goes on and on. The house was left filthy after the build (debris left in the home, drywall dust on everything, dead bugs etc). We were once again assured at the final walk through that our home would be deep cleaned to address our concerns. Of course nothing was done. We asked several times and we’re told it would be addressed but instead we had to hire and pay a cleaning company to have it move in ready clean. When we tried to be reimbursed we were denied. We didn’t expect to have to pay hundreds of dollars to do their job for them. This is not our first new build but this is our first time dealing with this level of issues straight out the gate. We are not impressed with our experience with Lennars customer service/work order maintenance. Be prepared to spend your first year in your home addressing an insane amount of “finishes” issues. They flew through putting these houses up and missed numerous big and little details to the build. I’ve already reported 20 issues and we’ve lived in our home 1 week!!! Poor quality of workmanship. Slow responsiveness and warranty items are Closed out before completed

They were extremely friendly and promised the world until the documents were signed and we were under contract. We were lied to about what was available in the area. The person who we had for the lending portion was evasive and rude when we asked questions. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They ruined the new buying experience and we had to dig deep to be happy after all the struggles. Luckily for us, our neighbors seem to be friendly so there is our silver lining.
