Horrible experience, will not recommend anyone to buy a Lennar home. Pressure their client’s to close on homes that are not finished and getting them to do any repairs is a hassle.

Bad buying experience

Overall the experience was terrible. Our Lennar salesman never answered her phone. Always rude when we finally got ahold of her she had no idea what was going on. House looks like it was built by a toddler. No attention to details, paint everywhere on outlet covers, my brand new carpet, windows all have paint on them. House was suppose to be cleaned before closing that was never done. Nobody answers the phone to get anything taken care of.

Lennar is a terrible builder

Lennar uses unskilled contractors and cheap materials, contractors and subcontractors don’t know what they’re doing and have this “I don’t care” attitude. Getting anything done or fixed or repaired is extremely difficult and have to resort to escalating to Lennar Head Office. Construction managers and customer service reps all make big promise, trying to get you to close sooner. As soon as you Close on your house, game over, Lennar won’t touch or repair anything. I have owned several homes in my lifetime. Some new builds and some resales. NEVER have had such a terrible experience as with this home. When I wasn’t being ignored; I was being lied to. I have done my best to patiently work through the Lennar process but at this point I am all out of nice.

We never had contact with the builder himself, only the sales person. He was not even included for our first walk-thru of the house.

Our experience with Lennar builders was bad from start to finish. We were pressured into a walk-thru before the house was completed. This resulted in additional pressure to close before the end of the month and before fixes were complete. We were told during the walk-thru that we would be supplied touch-up paint, which we didn't receive. We have asked several times for specific color names that were used and still have not received. Attention to detail on the finishing of the house was poor, obviously the constrution manager didn't care in shotty craftsmanship. We've had nothing but ...

From sales to closing an absolute HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Our sales person Matt was MIA most of the time. Our house was not ready for closing but expected us to close anyway. All screens were bent, painting and caulking was horrific. We have a mice problem, front doors don't lock. garage door dented. Never buy a new home during a Pandemic

First, the good. Lennar's model homes in the Emerson Palmer community in Henderson look great. The bad...the house we bought was NOT built with the same QUALITY as the model homes. Blame it on the pandemic, supply chain shortages, and worker shortages I guess. But the construction and quality of the house were terrible. I hired a home inspector and he found over 50 defects both inside and outside of the house. Worst workmanship. Worst carpet/framing and lack of accountability and response

My new house is a bundle of issues. Starting from the exterior to the the interior of the bathrooms every part of the issue had bunch of issues. There were so many bulges and dips in the every room whereever there is carpet. The issue was raised before closing and is not fixed yet. The carpet and the padding inside the carpet are so cheap. Beneath the carpet we found trash, the people who did that didn’t even care to vacuum the area before installing the carpet. Still waiting for Lennar to act Clear the land as we purchased a waterfront lot!

We have had several issues like no mirrors or shower enclosures installed until nearly 2 months after settlement, finally got them last week day before Christmas. Still have electrical issues with outside outlets as they click 24/7 unusable, and light switches within the home that are incorrectly wired. I had 2 homes built in OTOTW and 1 by Lannar. As a General8i r, bypass I saw poor workmanship and several months late to finish. The contract that had the sale price did not show about $10,000 extra that was not on that page even though we made no changes. This by far is the poorest quality I have seen. In Williamsburg Virginia Lannar turns out a very nice home, not like these Lannar homes.

House was not to code.

We have purchased many homes through out the years. The condition of the home after we closed on it in terms of meeting county code was pathetic. Our water heater was not hooked up to the house so no hot water, there was no insulation in the attic which is another fire code, the wiring of the home was a fire code we found out as we hired our own electrician to fix our home which was 5k later. We have taken pictures of everything. We will be hiring an attorney and also calling the city to make record of their inspector who passed the home when it should not have. Hands down the most dreadful homebuying experience. I've lost years off my life with the stress and frustration of working with Lennar. 10x worse than a colonoscopy cleanout, and a root canal with no anesthesia being done at the same time. Very BUMPY ride

In the beginning we had a few hiccups but everyone was available and supportive; however the bad experience started on the first day of the walk/ through when I was told it had to be done on a particular day and many things were not completed in the home. Since that day it has been an unpleasant experience. I finally realized no one cares once you’ve signed on the dotted line.

I am not a happy Lennar Customer! Too many issues to list here. It's exhausting. Poor communication, paid way too much for the quality of the home--materials, appliances, workmanship, quality or lack thereof, slapdash finishes, severely poor responsiveness, lack of integrity and more. All of this wears you down and leaves you angry and stuck.

I never like making a post unless I am asked. I am NOT happy with the quality of my home - unfortunately it was the best deal in town. For >460k I expect more, I hate the following: small garage, small streets, inadequate storage and parking, and horrible cell /Internet Verizon coverage. Community is very nice. House should Have lights in all rooms. Installing a fence is a horrible experience; Lennar should have system to get one in a timely, cost effective manner. Sale contracts are error riddled, impossible to understand, and so generic they have 50% not applicable. Have a contract for cash and another for financing.

I would never buy another Lennar home

Hi, This is my third lennar home, but my experience of buying of third lennar home was really bad that I would never buy another home from lennar. I had primary home and investment home from lennar prior to this...they were forcing me to close home with open drywalls and lot of work pending. Can you imagine closing home and some attorney coming to your home on Saturday evening 9PM to close home ? They forced me to do this although still pending items. They said If I dont close it today I will lose my 10% security deposit and my interest rate will go up even my rate lock doesn't expire ...

The closing process was very stressful and communication between Lennar and the attorney was disastrous. Old documents were mailed, documents were signed after the fact, and signing day was not pleasant. Please do better, Lennar.

Poor Customer Experience

Lennar does not communicate with buyer during the construction nor punch list resolution process. The only work punch list items when you escalate to management. Then you get attention for a day and they ignore you the next day. They make up stories as to why things do not work or why they work the way they do. And it is always the other guys fault. No one takes responsibility to correct matters.
