Lennar does not seem to stand behind their product, and has substandard work, that is only made worse by the lack of customer service to address issues with their new home construction.

I do understand that Lennar is an extremely large builder that relies on volume not on quality. I think what disappointed me the most was the lack of interest to pay attention to detail, inspect their own work and the lack of interest to make things right. For those reasons plus more I can not recommend Lennar to anyone

Just bought a Lennar home and I advise everyone to avoid buying these homes. These homes are cheaply built, workers drink on the job (I have the beer cans in my house to prove it), and there is no urgency when it comes to resolving issues. There is no reason why brand new homes should be having any issues - we even experienced a gas leak our first night on the property! They should be ashamed of themselves and I suggest they cut their prices for these homes.

Very little construction knowledge by all Lennar representatives. There is no concern for quality or making sure products were installed properly

Don’t buy Lennar! There is obviously no supervision during construction and if provided no experienced construction managers. Absolutely NO CONCERN FOR QUALITY! They constantly try to fix items that were not installed properly (I.e.) doors, especially exterior doors instead of removing and reinstall properly or replace. It is sad that Lennar accepts the butcher quality of work provided by their sub-contractors. We didn’t get what we paid for! All my neighbors feel the same way!

Dream home turned into a nightmare

Experience of buying a new home has brought me too many bad experiences to write a good review what was supposed to be a good experience quickly turned into a nightmare due to poor workmanship. Lack of service from Lennar home building team no one ever had answers and never kept promises as to when home was going to be completed issues never address properly

I Wouldn't Buy From Lennar Again

In the first month after closing we ran into a few issues that couldve been avoided. Repair times tool longer than they should. Communication is not a thing with Lennar. The construction crews like to cut corners when building the homes. Lennar doesn't not fill the backyards with grass, some of ours is only dirt. Cracks in the concrete were immediately noticed after closing. Lennar title gave us the wrong amount for closing costs and almost delayed our closing. Our closing date was pushed back about 3 or 4 different times. Plastic bathroom walls were not pushed together correctly, ...

Purchased house was told I would get touch up paint, never received! Three boxes to replacement tiles, was told to text Nolan did on several occasions never received. Doors painted with semi gloss, touched up with flat paint. We have paint on carpets in bedrooms Just horrible

Don’t sign off on the day of your walk though. If there are issues to be fixed have them fix it before you sign off. I’m 7 months in an still waiting for them to fix a kitchen drawer that was blue taped the day off walk thru. Costumer service rep dose not care

Not my first Lennar home but will be the last. Home not complete on Closing Day and home has very shoddy workmanship and does not have finishes stated when signing contract. In this very tight market I believe I was taken advantage of and now it’s time to handle. Beware!

Move in date was pushed several times, over 26 items failed inspection, communication with the builder and management was absolutely horrible. Would not recommend to anyone. The day I got my keys there was taco bell trash on the counter and paint on the floors still. This was after having to accept a list of things that were not fixed on move in. Just the absolute worst experience I have ever had, specially when spending so much money. Will never go through Lennar again.

My wife and I decided to buy a Lennar home. We decided to wait 3 months for the house to be completed. During this process we were told that everything on the inside of the house would be completed by closing. When we had our celebration day, it was far from a celebration. At first it was good but after you sign and put money down, takes sales 2-3 days to call back even my realtor could not get a hold of him. The on line paperwork is a joke. The first walk thru was horrible water leaking in the wall and Lennar was just going to leave water in the wall and underneath the flooring. Paint not finished. Just got it fixed on the day of closing. Let’s talk about Lennar contractors damaged my A/C unit outside and when you send a service request in it’s poor response. Front door sagging. Closet door damaged kitchen cabinets coming apart over all just a bad experience . ...

My home is a disaster. I have two different types of baseboards throughout the house (some round, some square), paint on the carpet in every room; almost every cabinet is warped or damaged; the doors are damaged, the mirrors are damaged, and the outside front door doesn't even have trim; there is sealer spilled and mixed in with the grout in the shower, broken tiles, carpet is cut too short and does not even reach the corner in the loft hallway; my furnace is broken and was repaired halfway...this is just to name a few issues and the original warrant rep told me to "lower my expectations" ...

Signing in July for a house that would be ready in November, that would then be delayed month by month until May. How can you think you can finish a house in 4 months if it’s going to take you 10? But when it’s finally done, we were given zero flexibility in closing day. We had to be flexible for all this time and Lennar gave us nothing at all, even threatened us with a 500$ per day fine! Communication during construction and even sales was very poor and even now past closing is minimal. If Lennar is the last builder on earth, I’ll buy existing homes..

Construction delays which were not communicated prior to buying the house. Very poor communication throughout the process. House built with poor workmanship standards. And response from Construction Manager was it is acceptable per Lennar standards. I didn't knew that lennar had such low standards. Not happy with at all. Even now response is very poor if I open any ticket. And for bigger issues Lennar asked me to directly contact vendors. So accountability at all. Terrible responses to work we need done. Had my air conditioner go out in the first month and had to called around to 5 different people before someone would help me. Made a request on the Lennar service page to get my kitchen island fixed and am still Waiting for it. There are staples popping up thru the carpet all thru the house. Not impressed with the quality or the service after. Would never buy another Lennar house or ever recommend it to anyone. Very dissatisfied

In the four homes we have had built in our lifetimes, this was the worst experience from start to finish with having a new home built. It took over 15 months to complete the home. This was a subdivision 1 level 1850sf cookie cutter home nothing custom. It became very apparent that Lennar was overcommitted and had to much WIP (work in progress) open which basically paralyzed productivity. For the entire duration, we had to be the ones to prod and ask for updates, which were vague and usually a bunch of excuses. Lennar has many issues but it’s biggest issue is zero ownership of anything. ...

In the past couple months we’ve lived here the HVAC has broken twice… the oven flips the breaker. The hot water heater leaks. Our POC at Lennar was not helpful- in fact it seemed that she actively tried to schedule our 3rd party inspector to come at incorrect times so we had to reschedule with him, as you can imagine that was expensive. Our other POC on site was wholly unknowledgeable about our home. He had not idea where filters should go for the HVAC, and at one point told us our unit didn’t need filters. That being said.
