Lennar - I am having a very bad experience with getting issues corrected

I am having a very bad experience with getting issues corrected on a home I closed on Nov. 30th and paid way over asking price. The electrical company is yet to show up to install electrical fixtures, havent showed up 2 times already. Cabinet doors not set correctly, installed the wrong closet doors, grout in tile has all damages and dirt imbedded in it. Closet shelves are all crooked. I am very disappointed with what I am dealing with!!

Focus needed on Workmanship and quality of materials used

Lennar is a good builder who builds affordable homes. But significant attention is needed in the workmanship and review process after each phase of the build. When a house was delivered to us, we were initially happy until we started noticing issues almost in every aspect of the new house. At some point the workmanship and readiness of drywalls/carpets etc. made us feel like the house was built on a hurry just to meet a date. If attention is paid on quality and review process, in this fast moving housing market, I think Lennar will not only sell houses but also make it feel Home right when ...

Our first experience with Lennar

We were and are excited about moving into the community of Ave Maria. Our purchase of the Ariaballa not so much! The quality and workmanship of this build has alot to be desired. Lennar was quick to take our money and when we notified them of the several issues it seems to have landed on deaf ears. From garage overhead doors that don't function, to missing trim, missing shower doors, several damaged and marked cabinets, and a long list of other items. Our suggestion would be to run as fast and far away from Lennar as possible!

I totally get we are I n a pandemic and things happen however. I believe the home I live in was built cheap and rushed. I was told the carpet was back order then all of sudden I have brown carpet with gray floors. Like seriously, everything else has a color match yet brown carpet is thrown in the mix. There were things incomplete during final walk thru and if I did not look as hard a lot of things would have went undone. There were spots of paint left all over the floor I was told it would be cleaned and of course it was not. I am having to call customer service due to things either are ...

Horrible Experience

This was a HORRIBLE experience especially as a first time homebuyer. I understand delays because of COVID, but no reason for the craftsmanship to be so poor. I can’t even get in contact with anyone to come out and fix the piece in our contract that they legally have to fix and we closed 3 months ago! The communication has been TERRIBLE after we signed our commitment. Closing kept getting delayed because no one wanted to do their job. There was so much trash including beer cans on the property during building. I would NEVER recommend a Lennar home.

I submitted warranty requests more than 20 days ago, still haven't heard back from Lennar. Family room marble window sill still broken in two pieces. BTW, no one ever lived in this townhouse. All the defects are caused by the builder or sub-contractor.

they are not building very neatly, they put a laminate with humps, the tiles in the bathroom are crooked, the water ticks in during the rain from under the door! they don’t give paint to the wall and it’s not available in stores! you have to repaint everything with another paint in a different color, instead of a little grease! troyat quickly and badly! I don't recommend buying from them!

Lennar - This house was closed on and the quality of workmanship was poor

  • David Soilo G.

This house was closed on and the quality of workmanship was poor upon arrival. Items addressed before closing were not completed. The process to get things fixed under "warranty" as it is put is a horrible experience. I don't know how the house passed inspection with a defective furnace, a missing AC unit, and a missing drain pipe which was dropping water into the basement. Also many other thing like a defective shower pan which has not been fixed yet, and installation of defective doors through out the house. The everything included is also a receiving statement as you are left with a box of ...

Exterior and interior construction was rushed and shoddy. Construction manager and supervisor lied so much to homeowners on what they've promised they were going to do. My cabinet has a cracked before moving in September and still waiting on replacement. Still waiting on lanai to be installed as well. It's almost February now and nothing has been done. They put so many tapes to all over the house to remind them which ones needed attention and all they did was took them off. Nothing has been done. I will never reccomend Lennar. What I will recommend is a class action lawsuit against ...

Sales experience was the worst. 4 closing dates scheduled in November and finally was shoved into November 30th. The dishwasher was not installed when I closed and took my keys. ealk through was cancelled 30 minutes before it was scheduled. I didn't show then I got a call from the sales person who calld me a liar that the appointment wasn't cancelled, even though I sent a screen shot of the email cancelling it. Didn't expect to get yelled at though from the sales person to get on the reschduled appointment. I just would like to vent my frustration but no one at Lennar cares. I wrote a ...

How long does it take for cosmetic repairs? I was off from work 5 days for closing and I spent another 5 days after Christmas waiting for technicians to complete the scheduled job request. I communicated with Lennar staff voicing my concerns and was advised I need to schedule another request Monday through Friday? Would I recommend Lennar- absolutely not. I put down 20% and this is what I get! No not happy at all.

Every step of the way, we encountered issues. From the sales process, to the mortgage, to title listing the wrong fees on our CD, to having closing delayed two and a half months, no communication, they had the wrong carpet installed during our walkthrough, items listed to be fixed before closing were not, and now dealing with major issues post-closing and contractors show up whenever they want and just leave without finishing the work. Poor communication, lack of workmanship, no real customer service. They just want to move fast and get your money.

I hated my experience with Lennar and will never t Go through this again! The lack of communication, the issues with closing, and all the little details and problems in my home like it all not being cleaned by my celebration walk. The carpets were t vacuumed, none of the windows were cleaned, scratches in my stainless steel sink as well as a dent in my refrigerator. Paint all over the breaker box. Leaves and dirt in my garage. Stains on the concrete in the garage. Almost every corner in my house is cracked. As well as the master bathroom shower. Even the doors/ walls and corners of my ...

Lennar - The house was not finished but was told it would be after two

The house was not finished but was told it would be after two weeks of closing. How to make multiple phone calls to get a ceiling fan in an additional Outlet in garage. The floor was an atrocious after touch up painting was done. Also pointed out additional spots were touch up paint need to be done this was not completed either. The floor was notoriously gross and had to call and Stanley steamer to get the floor done this was a battle with Lennar. I would recommend having everything done prior to signing papers and not putting anything Off. Denise a sales lady was the most helpful.

The house was not nearly ready for closing. The windows won’t shut, smoke detectors and lights hanging from the wall, concrete cracked, and I was threatened if I didn’t close by end of November, they would keep my deposit. They skipped the final walk through and were still laying carpet while I was at closing. I would not have closed, if I was not being threatened, they would keep my security deposit.

We settled on a home November 29 that was far from ready and with many hidden issues. We did not want to settle. Lennar brought in two Customer Care staff to assure us everything we could see would be taken care of. Two months later the list has grown and only a few things have been addressed. Once in we found out that the dishwasher was installed wrong, refrigerator was damaged, hot water heater stopped working, sunk pump needed repair, fireplace and hearth cannot use, tile floor cracked from wall to wall, cabinets need repair, tile in bathroom installed wrong, wood floors damaged, woodwork ...

In my experience I was told the homestead would be ready in 60 days after being told I was off the waiting list April 2021. The rep did not want to disclose the location when I asked, so I had my realtor. Once we had the address I went to view and the framing had just been finished May 2021. I was timing everything to move out of my apt end of June due to their timeline and oh it will be done no worries. Well the home did not get finished until Nov 2021. I say this beware of what you are told by them. If there are issues no one responds to your concerns. The lack there of communication was ...
