This was our 3rd Lennar home and it will definitely be our last. Our first two homes were fine but this last one was downright ridiculous. From the beginning it was miscommunication to no communication with Lennar lending. No one wants to take responsibility when things go wrong. Was doing conventional loan and had to repeatedly send same items multiple times before they would get entered correctly on Lennar side. Lending agent was not knowledgeable with loans despite him insisting on his vast experience.

This was the most difficult purchase of real estate that I have experienced in my 50 years of real estate investment. The entire staff need to be retrained. The title company group was the worst!

We purchased a house from Lennar in Tucson AZ in 2006 which we still own, and the experience was great. When moving to NC there was no question who we were going to buy a house from; Lennar. As good as the experience was in AZ, the experience in NC has been the worst; the sales person was only nice and interested until I was hooked and had provided the deposit; after that she was not responsive, never remembered conversations, would promise one thing one day, deny promising it the next, not show to meetings, and this went on all the way to the closing. Biggest issue revolved around the Lennar Mortgage loan team. Kept asking for ridiculous amounts of documents and statements. Felt I was bring criminally investigated, and not purchasing a home. Even after the loan closed the loan team asked me for statements. Loan team was very difficult to work with and despite complaints to supervision and management, the loan team kept asking for documents. I had to write a statement why I use my checking account to pay my credit card bills. Far too many regular purchases made by me required the loan team for unreasonable supporting documents.

Very Disappointing Experience

I would not recommend this builder. Throughout the process, they were unwilling to discuss or accommodate any changes, even reasonable ones. Several mistakes were made during construction, but instead of taking responsibility or working toward a fair solution, they refused to acknowledge them. The closing process was extremely difficult — they pushed to close three months before the original commitment date and showed no flexibility or willingness to work with the buyer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

The condition of house was bad. Until yesterday I had toilet seat issues. I dont mind them charging me couple thousands more and give better quality. I have had so many issues but they were prompt to resolve. I should not have had the issues in the first place to begin with. You can check my request history. Worst experience ever. Completely unresponsive to any question we had. The minute we signed the agreement to purchase and sent over the deposit it was all down hill and a horrible experience. Buying are first home was suppose to be a memorable happy experience and all I have is frustration and buyers remorse because how bad the customer service was. 100% will not recommend buying a new Lennar home to anyone.

This was a terrible experience and I will never recommend someone buying from Lennar. The houses will sell due to the location but overall. Worse experience with Lennar and communication and lying.

The Homebuying experience was terrible specially the financial approval process. IWe had a lot of issues with the loan process . We put 2/3 for downpayment and we really thought that was enough. Holes in my backyard

Do not feel safe in my home at this point

I was ok until I woke up one morning and my sliding glass door was physically open. I was ok until a construction worker used his code to open my front door and I had to run in terror to the door when I saw he was about to step into my house. I was told the builder code was removed on the day of closing. It was well over a month later when the worker walked into my house. The workers have utilized my electricity, blocked my driveway several times since I moved here and I had to go over to the agents office to get a sign to indicate "private residence" before anyone from Lennar did it. ...

Do not use Lennar agent or lender!

After showing interest in the property our Lennar agent would not reply or answer any of our questions. It was almost impossible to get a response and even delayed our closing date. Our Lennar lending agent also lacked urgency in a market were rates were fluctuating daily. I wish we would have had better communication because the process caused a lot of stress and anxiety in a time when we should have been excited and celebrating our new home purchase.

Maddie/concierge was horrible - didn't notify me of sod installation - cost me money

Maddie did not communicate throughout the home buying experience. I am an out of state buyer and having somebody in that position was critical to the success of my buying and closing. I requested multiple times to notify me when the sod would be installed, she didn't, and then Lennar would not honor the warranty. I will be posting truthfully negative public comments. Lennar will have one more opportunity to reimburse me for the sod or I will post the comments and then take them to small claims. I will win.

My experience with Lennar has been frustrating and disappointing. There has been a lack of transparency and poor communication throughout the home-buying process. Aubry, the lender, failed to clearly explain unexpected increases in the purchase price and closing costs, and I was not informed when my loan was placed in suspension, causing unnecessary delays and stress. Cheap floor

I can't believe Lennar is using such a cheap floor. The engineered hard floor is sooo thin, a decent LVP is thicker than that. We only moved in for 1.5 months, some boards are already cracked, and lots of them are buckled up. I would rather they just leave the cement floor so that we can install a real engineered hardwood floor which will last for many years. For this current floor, it will not just cost us more to remove, it will be very dusty. What a disappointment!

Alex G. was the Lennar agent we worked with to purchase our home. The experience was not good at all. It started out well as we believed every word he said when he answered our questions. Little did we know, he wasn’t providing the correct information. I don’t think he did this for nefarious purposes. When we applied we didn’t know what we were going to be living. Lennar Mortgage is the WORST!
