Not Good

Found that the investment does not equate to the final product. The investment made does not support the quality or craftmanship delivered. The most upsetting thing was that the house was not ready for the first walk through and the punch list made during that walk through was not attended to as we conducted the final walk through virtually. We were assured that all items were taken care of. This was not the case. In short, we were lied to. I would not recommend the Lennar product to anyone. The value of the product is overinflated. The $300k home with the lack of value in material and ...

Great builder if you want your house to almost be finished

Overall we love the home and community but the major issue is the fact that they just will not finish the house. It’s been 2 months since settlement and we’ve had multiple appointments no showed by the builder to fix issues that should have been done prior to settlement after promised that things would be resolved. Honestly our next step will be a lawyer. It’s unfortunate because most could have been done quickly…. Would not recommend the builder to anyone.

Lennar responded:
Good morning, James. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t met expectations, and we understand how disappointing that can be. We hope to regain your trust moving forward and ensure your experience as a homeowner improves from ...

Unfortunately, I had the worst and most humiliating experience buying a home with Lennar. If they wanted to know about my two-year consecutive employment history, why didn't they ask me at the beginning? I understand that the FHA process is rigorous, but the procedure adopted by Lennar was terrible. I have never been so disrespected regarding my professional career as I was during this purchase process. Lennar asked me how I got a job at an American company if I had no “recent” experience in business or team management. Have they never heard that when a professional moves to another ...

Lennar responded:
Good morning Daniel. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re truly sorry to hear that your homebuying experience—particularly during the loan process—was an unpleasant one. That’s far from the standard we aim to uphold, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. Moving forward, we hope to earn back your trust as a homeowner. They don’t follow their own craftsmanship guidelines and instead do patch jobs that make things look worse. Spent time with the rep taping quality issues in the house just to have someone else come in and rip the tape off without ever fixing. At the final walk through I mentioned how nothing was even fixed and the guy didn’t care. They know that their contract forces you to close on an unfinished house. Lennar has gone downhill from what they used to be.

Lennar responded:

I had high hopes when I purchased my home from Lennar, but unfortunately, the experience during and after closing has been very disappointing. 1. Seller’s Credit Issue at Closing: Lennar attempted to reduce the agreed-upon seller credit at the last minute, just before closing. Despite our persistence, we were finally able to get the full credit restored, but this caused a significant delay during closing at the attorney’s office -- an incredibly stressful and unprofessional situation for what should have been a smooth process. 2. I just purchased the house in April 2025, and we moved in on May 1st. However, I’ve already noticed several issues. The exterior paint is fading, and there are cracks all over the outside walls. The existing flooring is covered in linoleum, so I replaced it. I also repainted the interior walls because the original paint was dull. The bottom of the kitchen cabinets is falling apart. On a positive note, the lighting in the is good.

Very cheaply made for what we paid. You can tell they build these homes in 120 days. Appliances are super cheap. Yes it's quartz countertops but very thin. Cabinets hit other cabinets when they're being opened which leads to paint chipping. Gaps in the trim (not flush with the floor). Cheap wire closet "organization". They had to use a zip off form of insulation for the attic as the HVAC was poorly installed - I know this bc my husband has been in the industry for 10+ years. I mean, the list goes on and on. Lennar Mortgage is beyond awful - and that's an understatement. Home buying process ...

There is little accountability with anything. When initially inspecting the house and pointing out the defects that needed to be cleaned up or fixed they promised they would fix them all. We toured the house three days before moving and notice some problems were still not fixed or cleaned, they then promised it will be ready for move in. We show up for move in and the house was still in the same state and they said they cleaned the house. There was dirt in the windows sills, blue tape from the inspection still on the walls and in cabinets, dirt in the showers, tape residue on the flooring, ...

The house was left extremely dirty between my final walkthrough and closing. There were many corrections that need to be made even after pointing them out at the walkthrough. The house seems to be very cheaply made. I have lived in the house for a month and my fence is already falling apart. For a brand new build you would expect a higher quality product. The Lennar team also schedules all of your appointments before checking your availability which is extremely frustrating and leads to longer wait times.

I was not told the truth about a lot of things. The quality of the builders was not good. Once I moved in, someone left the floors so dirty full of mud and dust.
