Lennar made first time home buying a miserable experience. Poor communication from every aspect possible. Very unprofessional. We will never buy another house with Lennar again.

Lennar responded:
Hi Carson, we are truly sorry about your experience not going the way it should have. We also want to apologize about the poor communication. We will be informing our division leaders about this to help address. -Lennar Customer Care

This is our first Lennar home. Very disappointed! Garage door not working after purchase, took two weeks for someone to come out! Lousy customer service. They are nice before closing, afterwards, zero customer service. Run, don't walk away from this builder! Cheap appliances, cheap paint used on walls, We moved from AZ where the builder actually cared about their customers. Very disappointed and let down by this builder. Would NEVER buy another Lennar home or recommend to anyone.

Lennar responded:
Hi, we are truly sorry about the experience you went through after closing on your home. We can assure you that we care about our homeowners just as much after the closing process. Please reach out to us if you need anything else with your new home. -Lennar Customer Care

One of the worst home buying experience I ever had. Do not recommend Lennar to anyone. Everything is terrible, starting from home buying experience to built quality. Bought two units in a span of 4 months and both the experiences are horrific and both the units built quality is subpar.

My sales associate was not very knowledgeable abt the questions I had and he was easily offended. The lender scrutinized our accounts and disqualified the money we had to bring to closing. The house's workmanship and materials seems well built but lacking some very important features that leave a big impression like no sprinkler system, no garage door opener, no covered back porch, no fans in any room, dining area too small for a dining table, living room too narrow, and grass is dying. Our plan is to sell as soon as possible and get into something better suited for our family.

If I could give a 0 I would. I have barely been in my home a month and the paint is already chipping on this cheap siding y’all used. Some of the door knobs are loose. I called to get help with the thermostat you wanted to do a virtual call and couldn’t help with something so simple. I referred 2 friends which I’m sorry I did because y’all gave and is still giving 1 a bad experience. My sales person the one who sold me the house asked me who was my sales person when I went in the office to tell them that the fridge they promised me was not in my home. I was in total disbelief I said YOU ...

We purchased our home a few months back and the process seemed like it was never going to end. Our sales agent Devonte did nothing besides open up the house for us to view and collect his commission, the process of getting approved was so murky that we never felt confident during any point in the process that we were going to end up with the home. The grading on our backyard was terrible, planks in our fence are already falling down, and 2 months in I have already had to have the irrigation company, flooring company, plumbing and a contractor come out to fix various issues that should have be ...

From Agent in the Palm River neighborhood that told us so many things that weren't true or factual in anyway ( Like the Ring Camera that we specifically asked about multi times). She never communicated throughout the process. The price of the home changed multi times. The walk through had a considerably more bluetape markup and issues then any standard. the final closing a week later more than half of the stuff was not fixed or addressed and has carried on for weeks to them properly addressed and have not been able to fully move in the home almost two months later for lack of issues being ...

First, we do love the house. However, Lennar has been a nightmare to work with. Up until the middle of January, we were told our house would be ready at the end of April of 2024 which would have been perfect timing for us. On January 18th we were told that we would be closing 12 days later on January 30th, giving us almost no warning whatsoever. If we delayed closing at all they were going to charge us $300 per day (READ YOUR CONTRACT!) for the delay. So we said fine, let us get our inspector in, like we mentioned at the beginning. They told us "Well, you need 30 days notice before closing in ...

Avoid this place like the plague. The only smooth thing about the buying process was dealing with the finance/mortage department (the people who take your money. Go figure.) It is also usually a dump as they don’t make the contractors clean up after themselves. It was pretty bad before enough residents complained to force their hand. This developer has been a headache from the start. I started the initial paperwork on Thursday 01/18/24 around roughly 9pm. My walkthrough was then scheduled for Friday 01/26. I contacted a 3rd party inspector on 01/20 to complete an inspection on 1/26 a few ...

There's a lot of little issues with the house, mostly cosmetic. The dishwasher door doesn't close it's scraping the top of the counter. There's a lot of shotty work. The door frames are about an inch from the floor so they just filled it in with caulk. The grout is like sand and it just dusts away when you clean, it it just comes out from in between the tiles.. several broke in half quarter round pieces that they just fixed it with caulk, one door frame is even made with two separate pieces of wood that they just poorly patched but my biggest problem is the fact that this house has laminate ...

From the beginning, the Lennar Sales team was not responsive to initial inquiries we submitted for home we were interested in. It required me to follow up on weekly/bi-weekly basis before a representative even provided the information on the available homes and the plans. I felt like I was inconveniencing her asking for information. Once we signed the purchasing agreement, we submitted the application to Lennar Financial who waited a few weeks before reviewing and starting the escrow process. They only started with the paperwork 3 weeks before our close date but indicated it would not be an ...

I've purchased three houses in my lifetime, but none of the experiences compare to the terrible service provided by Lennar. Starting with the sales team, they are excessively pushy and pressure you into making impulsive decisions. They employ scare tactics and provide misleading information about the property. I strongly advise against making impulsive decisions and recommend thoroughly checking all sales information before making a purchase. Additionally, the sales team will email you the contract but fail to go through it with you to explain any details. The lender team also ...

Zero communication. Lack of care in blue tape walkthroughs, unprofessional staff (ESPECIALLY at the Lennar regional level), shoddy craftsmanship. I can especially observe this watching all of the other houses get built around me in Guadalupe Heights in Seguin. Trash getting blown all around, builders trying to steal packages off my front porch, dirt and debris in the road. I will always tell people to avoid Lennar at all costs. Cutting corners should be Lennar’s slogan.

Home buying process felt rushed, our realtor also stated we would receive 2 ceiling fans which were never given. Poor communication throughout the process. Failure of staff to communicate information and process things and respond to questions and queries in a timely manner if at all despite not even even financing the purchase. Poor complication at every level - sales, title, on site, etc….trying to get answers to anything during the process was someone kicking the can or passing the. Ucla to someone else who passed it to the next one and on and on. Also staff doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing or have the right information. Yup, overall just plain bad and glad it’s over.
