Don't believe any closing dates or promises made that are not in writing. I understand the supply chain and labor issues but this sale, closing and quality of product received was the worst home buying experience that I've ever had and I've had more than a few.

The market is so crazy! We went to the Bonita Springs office and met with Rick - salesman - who told us that Lennar was taking bids for the remaining lots. He said that he would not be doing it that way. They had 2 lots opening soon and that he was naming the price. He said in order to be considered for the lots, we couldn’t have a realtor to represent us and that we needed to be cash buyers! A couple days later we were passed off to his coworker Susie. There are so many issues. The quality of workmanship is terrible. The response: it's a production home. Yes, I paid over $900,000 for a "production home." The pool does not work. There is a panel missing by the equipment which, once actually installed, would permit me to run the pool from the panel (also missing) inside my house. I spent nearly $250,000 to rip out the utterly ridiculous work on the inside and replace it with quality elements more appropriate for a now million dollar home 45 minutes from the coast. The hot water heater does not provide enough hot water for a ten minute ...

The overall experience was terrible I had to wait 19 months since I started my first payment and when we closed there was lost of items incomplete, not a good way to do business, we work hard to earn our dollars and we were treated poorly, craftsmanship bad, not a quality control system, lots of imperfections across the all house.

After living in the home for a week, you start to notice the cheap materials use and terrible workmanship. All of our knobs had tiny paint splatter, the carpet wasn't vacuumed - not even once (we have a toddler running around), dried paint can be found throughout the home, nails still protruding out through the carpet to name a few issues. Overall terrible experience, we felt rushed through our new home orientation and caught what we can.

Lennar does, under no circumstances, care about its buyers. They knowingly (construction manager admitted it) cut corners to get homes done in time. They then fail repeatedly to schedule contractors to fix the cut corners. Sales is an entirely different nightmare.

Lennar is a good builder who builds affordable homes. But significant attention is needed in the workmanship and review process after each phase of the build. When a house was delivered to us, we were initially happy until we started noticing issues almost in every aspect of the new house. At some point the workmanship and readiness of drywalls/carpets etc. made us feel like the house was built on a hurry just to meet a date. I submitted warranty requests more than 20 days ago, still haven't heard back from Lennar. Family room marble window sill still broken in two pieces. BTW, no one ever lived in this townhouse. All the defects are caused by the builder or sub-contractor.

The house was not finished but was told it would be after two weeks of closing.How to make multiple phone calls to get a ceiling fan in an additional Outlet in garage. The floor was an atrocious after touch up painting was done. Also pointed out additional spots were touch up paint need to be done this was not completed either. The floor was notoriously gross and had to call and Stanley steamer to get the floor done this was a battle with Lennar. I would recommend having everything done prior to signing papers and not putting anything Off. Denise a sales lady was the most helpful.

In my experience I was told the homestead would be ready in 60 days after being told I was off the waiting list April 2021. The rep did not want to disclose the location when I asked, so I had my realtor. Once we had the address I went to view and the framing had just been finished May 2021. I was timing everything to move out of my apt end of June due to their timeline and oh it will be done no worries. Well the home did not get finished until Nov 2021. It’s a well known fact that the pandemic has resulted in major delays due to limited supply - why Lennar doesn’t buffer their dates to be realistic and strings you on week by week is beyond me. In addition - City inspections failed due to obvious issues that a supervisor would have noted if they had actually checked. Lennar has turned into a “Reactive”builder and is no longer proactive about getting their homes done right.

I still had 40 things left on punch list and was made to move in.

Horrible building company. So many things wrong with house and finding more everyday. The communication was absolutely horrendous. We were told nothing about Hué about where the closing was going to take place etc. Then we find out closing is on the line my appointment was at four and we did not even get on the line until eight because they didn’t get on. Would never buy a Lennar home again

New Home buyer please do not do with Docu sign procedure, never get chance to review purchase documents. Sales person high light few things and get you to sign documents, once documents sign and if we question about things to be done in the house, we will get to hear that you sign documents!!!

The whole lennar process is designed to optimize their company’s benefit at the expense of the customer. They have rules / restrictions / policies which make the entire experience awful for owners (this includes home buying, inspections, closing, lennar mortgage, and warranty). I will not buy another lennar home.
