We selected Lennar because it was building homes in the area we wanted to live. No other builders really had inventory in our our price range and timeline. What a mistake! Worst experience I've ever had. They were late completing the home. The mortgage division is incompetent. They cost us thousands of dollars due to their mistakes.

The only good experience about this entire process was Jean and Kim. The lender was a terrible experience. The builder started out nice but after the close didn’t really care anymore. Still waiting on promised items. With me buying the flagship house first one on the corner at the entrance of the neighborhood you would think I would be the last client you would want to treat bad. Your reputation is on the line and word of mouth is everything.

Buying a home from Lennar is like buying and RV. Once you buy it your salesperson drops you like a bad habit. Arthur our salesperson won't call or email you back and then when asked about he states he tried but I wouldn't return his call. which is a bold face lie. Chris the construction person was supposed to get back with me in a couple of day about an issue. It has been over two weeks. So in conclusion , If Lennar folks can't honor their word what good are they? I mean after all how much effort does it take to respond to a buyers Issue? It speaks to the culture at Lennar where lack of professionalism is tolerated. ... More

Absolutely horrible experience all the way from the looking at the home to closing. Zero communication within the company, everything is compartmentalized. Straight up will lie to your face. Use FOMO tactics to get anything done. God forbid you call them out on the workmanship and they have to make repairs. Just easier to pay someone else after the process to get your home to where you want to be.

Awful experience! At final walkthrough the house had terrible detailing and the customer service agent didn’t resolve. It’s one thing before you close and another after closing! Lennar practically abandons you after closing and you have to resolve through warranty, which is an impersonal online unfriendly and confusing process! I will never again buy from Lennar! You shouldn’t either!

A 1500-unit development with no onsite sales manager. Sales department was not organized on what is going on with the development. Construction personal are drive by superintendents, that let the subcontractors do what they want without supervision or direction. Lennar's in field creed is to pass all mistakes onto the service department. Building wasn't finished during walk through or closing. Hats off to Maria Vasquaz of the service department to finish off the buildings and do it efficiently and make many homeowners happy.

My experience with Lennar has not been great. Short of the woman who assisted me as my homebuyer concierge the experience has come up short. Things started off bad after the walk pre purchase walkthrough. I pointed out many issues. Then when final walkthrough came I showed up to the appointment and notii nouns had been completed and then they said they would complete the items and send me pictures. They did complete some of the items but not all and I didn’t get a chance to do a real walkthrough. Then after I closed they couldn’t even be bothered to schedule a meeting to give me my keys. I had to go to the sales office and then nobody knew where my keys were and it took a couple of hours to find them. When I went to get my mailbox keys per Lennar instructions the usps couldn’t find those keys either I had to wait a week. There are several issues with the house. The material qualities are adequate. I’ve had so many issues. It’s the quality of workmanship and lack of pride that’s the problem. Two of My kitchen cabinet doors warped and some of my drawers were not assembled correctly. which were a material issue. The paint on the exterior and interior of the house is only applied with one thin coat. You can see right through it. In the interior you can not clean the walls if something gets on them. It will take the paint right of even with light touch and just water. It really needs a second coat. My garage which is unfinished that is fine but there are several corners of dry wall broken and weren’t fixed. In both bathrooms the pipe coming out of the wall go the shower heads were both installed at almost 45 degree angles intstead of coming straight out of the wall. There is drywall and paint all over my carpet. The final cleaning of the home was done very hastily. There are stains on my carpet from I’m assuming paint. My doors had to be readjusted twice. When I moved on the covers on the exhaust fans in the bathrooms were hanging down. There was paint all over my ceiling lights. On the website for the home community it states that standard the homes come with a water softener loop… turns out they do not. I found out the hard and expensive way. The first night I moved in the temperature outside was near freezing and my heater would not work. Turns out some idiot replaced the drip down on the gas line to the heater and did not turn the gas back on. I had to go through a whole reset procedure to get it to work. There is still a irrigation pipe sticking up in my backyard that needs to be reburied. My microwave above the stove literally lets air blow in from the roof vent. So much so that my stove gets dusty and during the freeze we had I had to tape up the microwave door and vents. I had to stuff rags in the vents. My microwave got so cold inside I put a thermometer inside and it read 32 degrees. I froze a bowl of water in there. When I addressed the issue several times they just said sorry you get north wind and we don’t install dampeners inside the vent. I have never lived in a house where I had to tape up the microwave to keep my living room and kitchen to not be freezing cold. It’s very disappointing. One of there hired trades drove their truck directly into my yard almost hitting my truck and destroying part of my yard. Then when the landscaping came to fix it they didn’t even notify me they were at my house and let me know they were here. Turns out while the were fixing my yard the damaged a pvc clean out cap that has yet to be replaced. I understand there will be some things that need to be addressed with any home new or otherwise but with a new home you expect less. There are several more issues I could go on about. It’s so hard to find anyone to take pride and respect in their work today. Integrity is lost. They throw these homes up and just don’t really seem to care. Which I get it’s numbers game. But the overall point here is that I am not so much mad but disappointed. Especially for a first time home buyer. The whole experience has been disappointing. It’s probably one of the most regrettable experiences of my life. If I had to do it again I would not buy from Lennar. If I wanted a ton of sissies with a home I would have bought a 1920s craftsman to remodel. I guess you get what you pay for. Thai is my analogy… just because I bought a Honda instead of a Mercedes doesn’t mean that the paint should have imperfections or that the seats have not been installed properly, or the radio not work. ... Have had the worst experience buying a home from Lennar. They do not live up to their expencacy. Its all about.meeting the nubers for them. They dont care or are concern with pleasing their clients.

Lennar tricks you by telling you that certain things are included, items are installed to code, floor plans, etc. Then you find problems with everything. Lennar - Actual experience Window coverings (shades) included - not on all windows. Electrical installed to code - so far lights and outlets were found that did not meet code Painting will be complete right after walkthrough - it’s been 2 months and still is not complete Standard windows - that don’t open (imagine your smoke detector going off every time you cook) We will leave the spare tile for you - did not leave spare tile. Home is wired for internet. - there is no power in the entire room that has the wires run to it. Can’t power the router. There is also no USPS service in this neighbourhood. Trash service has not dropped off cans (it’s been two months). Almost all of the breakers are labelled wrong. The garage door has huge gaps in it. No additional power in the garage. No light in the laundry room. No doorbell (they said this was standard), not even pre wired. There’s a clubhouse but we are not allowed to access it. Homestead tax exemption is not applicable. There is a lack of customer service and care. Will not buy again myself or recommend to anyone else.

I have built 3 new homes this has been the worst experience

was 2 days before closing and cosmetic issues were still not completed after i reminded them 2 wks in advance , they probably wouldn't have done anything if i had not been proactive , there was also 2 electrical issues that i didn;t find until after closing , unfinished wiring for the attic light the switch was never installed and 3 outlets would trip immediately when used , where is quality control ? How did this pass the county electrical inspector ? It took them at least 5 months to repair one of the 2 hot tubs , absolutely no excuse for that other than poor managementm , had to wait one week after closing to get the entrance gate barcode so i paid $400000 for a new villa and was not allowed to enter the community and then when i spoke with the HOA lady to finally get it she even admits that this is ridiculous that this has been that way since the beginning , every single person i met so far said the same thing happened to them ......Lennar only cares about the sale and not about the customers basic needs , they will tell you everything you want to hear until closing and then its another story ... Bad overall attitude from all construction team. Very rude and intimidating at times I felt I was about to get into a physical fight with this construction and Lennar customer service team. They were very dishonest. This is my second Lennar home and did not even compare to the great experience I received the first time.

It took till the week before closing before we had our final approval, which was ridiculous, considering we had all the information they needed every time they asked for it. The house itself was a beautiful home but the materials used were the cheapest they could use. And the quality of the workmanship was horrible!!! My home still has walls that are not straight the siding has lumps in it,etc. Talking with my new neighbors there homes have the issues! Now we have to deal with all the huge trucks driving fast through the neighborhood and the dust getting all over our new homes and our vehicles. It is disgusting.!!! On the weekend people drive behind our homes and shoot guns. We have brought this to the attention of office , with nothing being done about it. Thanks for the horrible buying experience ... More

Delays due to missed inspections, poor workmanship, rude and dishonest customer experience reps! Nothing about this house or our experience was worth half the money we paid for it. Lennar reps constantly lied and tried to cover up their mistakes and those of their subs. We were forced to close before the house was complete and every worker we've had in since then have commented on the poor work that was done. I'm ashamed to own a Lennar house.

As our customer services rep said when I showed him the corners that aren’t square and the garage frame being crooked. “ it’s a production home not a custom home” That’s a summary how our whole experience have been with Lennar. Things just aren’t right, square or straight.

I can’t describe my experience. It was so bad that I have no words to describe it.

The process started out good, but we should have seen the red flags when the Lennar real estate agent Marnie ignored our agent during the process. She also confirmed to us that we would receive a sprinkler system as we stood in the model home which had them. We found out right before closing that they were not included!!! The celebration walk wasn't anything close to being a celebration. When I asked about the hole in the side of the tub that the Lennar manager, Chris tried not to acknowledge, the response was, "oh, we can get that fixed!" After moving in, we were made aware by our neighbors that we did not get the spotlight that the other houses did. We also noticed that the trimming that was supposed to be on the house was not there! No mirror was provided for the powder room.During one of our random checks on the progress we found an empty beer bottle in our bathroom drawers... I could go on and on, but I'm not. Clearly the workmanship was poor! Thanks to representative that was assigned to us for any issues after the building process, Colby! He's the best they have! He's responsive, quick, and addresses our concerns the first time! If it wasn't for him Lennar world have 1 star and that would be due to the fact that I had rate it! ... More

Worst experience in my life

Not a good experience with the sales manager and her forcing us to close on the house to meet month ends numbers when repairs and gas line leak needed to be fixed. They threatened that if we didn't close even though there were major issues that they would put us in default and we would have to pay late fees. For our initial walkthrough the home was a mess, wasn't cleaned and debris all over but wanted to close on time and blame us despite these issues

Home was supposed to be completed in 5/2023 which is the reason we selected the property. We were then told it would close in June 2023. We coordinated the sale of our residence to coincide with the closing date in June. The closing was then pushed out to July 2023. We did a walk through of the property several days before the closing and marked numerous items that needed to be repaired (cracked tiles, cracked pavers, exterior issues, dead landscaping, missing sod in numerous places, missing blinds, bugs, not cleaned, missing caulking, drywall issues, holes in concrete, etc). We were told they would be completed by closing. Only a couple of the minor issues were completed. We closed because we had closed on the sale on our home and had no place to go. We were assured the items listed during the walk through would be completed asap. To date we still have a lengthy list on things that have not been completed and since moving in we have found more items. Not a pleasant experience since it seems that once you sign a contract and put down the deposit they do not communicate with you or misinform you. recieved email to come to town for walk through before closing! was told the house was ready and we would close two days later!!! walked into home and it was a disaster, not cleaned punch list was terrible. it took 6 walk throughs to get to a reasonable close!!!!!! 5 weeks later! still waiting on items to be done that were promised by management!!! we were also going to buy another house that was my wifes dream home in the same community! but the experience with your company and lack of workmanship might derail the purchase! this is our second home with lennar and I was a contractor in indiana with lennar but your company always blames the subs and takes no responsibilty for your COMPANY!!!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND LENNAR AS A SUITABLE HOME BUILDER!!!!!!! ... More

Had a bad experience with the recent buying process with builders mortgage and couple of sales rep.I am fortunate to close the house on time.
