Better quality materials and more detail finish. It should not be the buyer to search for defects that where trust comes in .

Lennar is not responsive after the sale. You will have issues as no house is perfect even custom built houses. But you will have issues getting Lennar to respond to your issues within your year warranty period. If you buy Lennar do not close until your issues are taken care of.

Construction manager made this experience poor at best

To begin with, we picked the house and lot so not a spec home. We were told we had time to add options so the day after signing we asked to add a laundry sink but was told we were too late for this request. Same thing for laundry cabinets! I blame this on the on-site agent giving wrong info. Apparently once you sign, you can’t make any changes so know what you want beforehand. Our house had a roof and almost to drywall before we had a single meeting with construction manager. I made them pause until we had a predrywall inspection done. It was given to the construction manager right afterwards ...

Worst experience, my 4th home!

We closed on our house in September and there is still items from our walkthrough that have not been corrected. Lennar doesn’t care about us as customers AFTER we sign on the dotted line! The workers that they have working for them are horrible and do horrible work! Moving here from Atlanta, we always heard good things about Lennar but from this experience we will never buy a Lennar home again. We are active duty military and shared our experience with fellow service members as well.

Lennar responded:

Lennar uses 100s of contractors, so there is no accountability for work that will require follow-up once you actually own your home. The walls are thin and provide no sound proofing, this includes the thin aluminum windows that seep air/moisture. They use matte paint throughout, even in the kitchen and bathrooms. "Upgraded Cabinets" means they are white in color- they are made of soft wood that will show even slight dings from regular use. The bathtubs are made of plastic and carpet will look worn and tired after less than 6m, even if you do not have pets or children. However, I live in a ...

Sales experience was great. The construction managers have been horrible, do not do what they say they are going to do and have zero follow up, I have over 15 hollow tiles in my house that I’ve been trying to get fixed for almost 6 months. I’m still missing parts to my cabinets. Worst construction management team I have ever dealt with.

The sales team and the builder were amazing. I have had very terrible experience with customer service. My doorbell stopped working and it took 2 months before I could get it fixed. I have outstanding repair work, and I have had 2 no call no shows and last time a Manager actually stopped by and promised things will be resolved quickly. I have not heard anything. Cheap materials and sloppy work done by all contracted vendors. Lots of rework and projects to be done by Lennar after move in.we had to each take so much time off of work well into two months to accommodate for things that should have been done. Not exactly turn key experience we had hoped for. Might as well have flipped an older home, saved money and had more space between homes. For the money paid, one would expect better quality work.

We bought our home less than 6 months ago and we had several serious issues that could have been prevented with proper supervision and workmanship. Without going into details, we have dealt with issues from flooding garage, improperly built shower (water behind tiles and on sill), to cracks and bumps on the ceiling. We had to place multiple work orders for new and existing issues. We must take time off from work to get these issues resolved and have had contractors not show up at all. When the work is not up to standards contractors point fingers at each other and customer service ends up ...

I was initially pleased with watching our home being built from the ground up however as it came time to close on the property things started going Awry. We picked out a corner lot and was advised by the agent this would all be our land. As they lay the sod we began to notice they weren’t filling in the corner side of the home. As we did our first walk through blue taping things that would need to be completed before move in the house was covered with blue tape. When we came back to complete our final walk through we noticed hardly anything was completed. Our home was still covered in blue ...

Great Sales Staff/Disappointing Warranty Service

We had a wonderful experience with the sales staff and this review is not for our rating of them. We have had a very poor experience with getting home warranty work taken care of and have found the quality of the workmanship to be poor. We feel like some of the trades just slapped the house together and do not take any pride in their work. The tile and cabinet trades have been no-shows 4 times now. Extremely irritating as our time is valuable and it’s seems like after they have our money, we just aren’t important.

The process of buying a house in itself is scary. So you think that buying a newly built home would be better. Wrong. Lennar used the cheapest materials, multiple issues ready. And later we get blamed for the issues so they dont have to fix it. If i could go back I would’ve approached this whole situation very differently, been more assertive with Lennar, and not have accepted things to be “fixed after move in”. What a disappointment. A few months in and already have a list of repairs that I have to pay for. Including changing the new floor which was done terribly but the company thinks they ...

Seems value for money but actually built quality is bad. Finishing looks nice while delivery, but quality is bad. Fed up with flooring issues all over, hardwood floor or carpet flooring squeaks a lot. Does not feel solid. May be they use cheaper vendors and also bad pre-delivery inspection on Lennar part. When it compares to other homes in the area, you get more square footage for less with Lennar, but the quality is much poorer. There are obvious design flaws throughout the home (we were told they were drawn into the plan that way so there is nothing they can do), and the sub-contractors for the most part took several short cuts. Occasionally, the Customer Care team responds to Warranty items, but not all the time. And when they do, they set a date and time for a sub to come repair the issue, and then the sub never shows up. They don't even give a courtesy call to let you know. The sales ...

We were very happy with our experience with Lennar until it came time to close on our home. There were several things not completed but we were told that as long as the house was structurally sound we needed to close even though we wished to wait till everything was done. Once we closed it was almost impossible to get them to come back and fix things even though we were told these would all be taken care of right away.
