We love our new home. Our Sales Associate Harrison was very helpful during the buying process. He’s was patient with the 100’s of question I asked. Lennar builds a beautiful home.

Overall horrible experience from start to finish....and I ended up going with another builder!!!!

It seemed to me that the communication was lacking, we had to buy from Lennar because it was a new home, but I would not recommend them as a mortgage company.

We were excited to purchase our new Lennar home, but a few issues made the experience far less smooth than expected. Just two days before our scheduled closing, Lennar informed us that the closing would need to be postponed for more than 30 days. This last-minute notice created a lot of stress and logistical problems that could have been avoided with proper communication. Less than one month after moving in, we experienced a flood on the first floor caused by Lennar’s workmanship. On top of that, we found a few cracks on the drywall throughout the house. While we understand that new construction can come with minor issues, the combination of these problems definitely impacted our overall experience. The homes are average build. The quality of the materials used are subpar. These homes are not forever homes. Please get a good home inspector and ensure Lennar addresses the issues found. The Lennar Mortgage Company is horrendous and just flat out terrible. They are very unorganized and the underwriters are incompetent. The delays to closing are purely on Lennar Mortgage. They do not compensate or accommodate for the delays. IF you decide to buy a Lennar home, just be ready to have a Full-time job going back and forth with them to close on your home.

It has been good experience working with Lennar team, be it the sales rep, loan officer or on-ground staff.

This was my 4th lennar home purchase, house is in great condition, very transparent with information, and extremely helpful. Process is streamlined and easy.

Start to finish was a wonderful experience, everyone was easy to work with, spacious well thought out floor plans.

Putting in the offer and initial approval was great and super helpful and easy. We were moving in from out of state, we HAD to close the day we flew in, technical issues made that difficult, the mortgage company waited HOURS before deciding wet signatures were okay. It took 3 days and 3 different people to figure out why we didn't have hit water, the cutouts for our washing machine weren't done and it's been one thing after another since. Now we have a leak in our bathroom and got stood up last night. The construction manager has zero clue what she is doing. I think I know more about construction than she does. I like my neighborhood, the house layout but the craftsmanship and customer service and response times could use some work. At this moment I wouldn't buy a Lennar Home again. ... More

Lenar absolutely shocked us with closing costs higher than for resale properties. The amount of fees was incredible - even our realtor was shocked. Ended up paying over 8K extra for the house. They played a nice trick by including our initial deposit into the estimated closing cost and 'offset' the hidden increase.

Everything felt very disorganized, starting with the salesperson, who was unprofessional. I always had to be the one to reach out, and even then, calls often went unanswered, or I had to leave several messages before getting a response. Another issue is that I had already paid the deposit on the closing day, yet they forgot to transfer the money to the home insurance company. I only found out when I received a cancellation notice from the insurance, and I had to keep contacting them repeatedly to push them to resolve it. This is my first home, and the whole experience left me feeling somewhat disappointed. ... More

Our new home is in a beautiful area of Las Vegas with mountain views. The home buying experience was fine. The craftsmanship is mediocre.

Our house is fine. No issues although we are still just getting settled. No issues during buying process. Dealing with their mortgage team was an absolute nightmare. On one hand I get it. They are just doing their job of managing risk. On the other hand, it’s very frustrating dealing with multiple requests from different people requesting the same thing on consecutive days. Finally, at times I felt like they simply chose not to read our email responses or listen to details during phone calls. By way of example, they repeatedly asked about expenses related to kids at college. When we told them both of our kids have already graduated they continued to ask for a copy of the leases to validate rental expenses. I had to respond just to this one example on st least three occasions before they simply stopped asking. The construction side was great, they were attentive, prompt, fixed any issues right away, communicated well. The mortgage side was awful. They messed numbers up three times, over a month later told us we weren’t qualified to begin with, all because they never factored in 3/4 of our income from the very start. Too many people to talk to, no one knows what’s going on. Concerning payoffs is a joke. We paid down 90% of what we owed, provided more than enough proof that we did so, then argued that we had to pay Lennar the full amount still, we did. Lennar told us they’d cut us a check for the full amount we owed then other companies would pay us back the difference. That’s not what happened which led to more confusion. Horrible experience on the mortgage side. Never again will we buy Lennar nor recommend the company based on that. You’d get more stars if it was even slightly better, but it wasn’t. It cost us a few thousand more because we had to keep renting because no one could get their act together and figure simple things out that were on the most basic level of their job description. ... Dana was great throughout the process including weekly video updates of the progress for us making a coast-to-coast move. It was very informative and nice of her to go out of her way.

We moved into Prosperity Lakes Adult Community from Pinellas County. We were looking for a new construction retirement home with a fun active life style. The home is so well built and designed. We love the Sunburst layout with all white cabinets and tile floors through out most of the house outside the 2 bedrooms. Large bathrooms, oversized garage and an open great room living area we fell in love with! We also love the turn key aspect of the home as well. HOA does all the outside maintenance. We are so happy with our new home!

My first-time home buying experience with Lennar was extremely disappointing, and I feel obligated to warn other homebuyers especially first-timers before they commit to this builder. From the beginning, communication was a major problem, especially from both the loan officer Nick and the construction manager Nick. As a first-time buyer, I expected guidance, reminders, and clarity throughout the process. Instead, I constantly had to remind them of important deadlines and follow-up on documents that they should have been managing. Their lack of communication created unnecessary stress and confusion from start to finish. The situation became even worse when we were told our home would be ready for signing before the end of the month. Based on Lennar’s own timeline, I informed my landlord that we would be moving out by the end of the month. But sure enough, we were delayed from our original closing date which was NOT due to the home not being ready, but entirely because of the loan officer Nick’s failure to properly walk me through the loan process, explain documents I didn’t understand, and communicate critical deadlines for submitting paperwork. My original closing date was October 5th. It was delayed the day before twice in a row. I didn’t end up closing until October 23rd. That nearly three-week delay left me and my family extremely stressed, unsure if we would even be able to secure the home before the date we told our landlord we would be moving out. All of this could have been avoided with basic communication and professionalism. The worst part of the entire buying experience came at the end, when I had already committed and had no choice but to move forward after giving my landlord our move out date. On top of that, the construction manager and his contractors failed to address the issues listed in my third-party inspection which I paid for out of pocket. Most items were simple, obvious fixes, yet many were ignored or “repaired” in a sloppy, half-done way. It felt like they wanted to rush through instead of ensuring the home was delivered in proper condition. To be fair, the only positive experience I had with Lennar was at the beginning with the sales consultant Dan, who was very informative and communicative. He was actually the reason I proceeded with Lennar in the first place. Unfortunately, everything after that especially the loan and construction process was the complete opposite. After this experience, I will never buy another home from Lennar again. The stress, lack of communication, last-minute delays, and poor quality of repairs completely ruined what should have been an exciting milestone. I’d honestly rather go back to renting than deal with another home purchase through them. I strongly recommend future buyers to proceed with caution, get your own third-party inspection, and be prepared for a lack of accountability from their team. ... More

Once we had an agreed upon price and I was ready to buy the particular home, the salesperson raised the price like $10000. shady business tactics by Lennar. Won’t be getting my business any longer
