A lot of issues for a new house

I chose a house that was already built. They never did anything I asked on the final walk. After I moved in, I had a lot of issues. They had to replace the vinyl flooring in the house. That was a nightmare experience. I fence is falling apart after only 5 months. I have to have the structure evaluated for a possible foundation issue. I wish they would just take the house back.

BEYOND HORRIBLE DO NOT BUY FROM THE BUILDER

VERY POOR COMMUNICATION WITH ON SITE SELLING STAFF. HAVE NOW BEEN INFORMED IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN THE GRASS ON THE PARKING AREA ON THE STREET NEXT TO MY HOME. NEVER TOLD THIS BY LENNAR. NO WATER SOURCE NEAR THE AREA IF I HAD BEEN TOLD THIS I WOULD HAVE NEVER BUILT ON THIS LOT. NOW I AM GETTING FINED AS THE GRASS IN DYING.

I had such high hopes when I put my downpayment on my new townhome. I loved the idea of something that was all mine and that no one had ever lived in before. This isn't my first home with Lennar and I was very happy with my previous purchase but not so happy with my recent purchase. The home has had numerous problems including roof leak. I'm very unhappy and filled with buyer remorse. This will be my last Lennar home.

The purchase, closing and Walk Thru process was excellent. Amazing, smooth and professional experience. Lennar prides themselves as a production home builder to a point where their approach to a home is to build as many homes with the minimal quality and maximum profit that they can get away with legally. Where the buyer and/or potential home owner is simply writing the checks - without input and concern. They set closing dates for acceptance and turnover before the work is complete and/or inspected. I will never recommend to anyone to buy a Lennar home. The quality of the materials (drywall especially) is pathetic. The workmanship is below average. The trustworthiness is a zero (it wasn't an option). After purchasing the home, all Lennar has done is lie to us. Responsive to issues . . . got to be kidding me. Lennar doesn't respond to issues. Lennar is worthless.

This house was put together it seems in a rush. You can see that they put up houses like crazy and not take the time to do things correct. I want a builder that does the job 100% not 60% just to hurry up and put up countless houses. It’s bull. We have had dozens of issues. Nails sticking up through the carpet that you won’t fix. The screen door is not right, the base boards were screwed up, the dry wall is done pisspoor, the threshold by the front door is loose even though they fixed it when it was loose from before. Nothing but lies and false promises.

When I was told by the head of construction for Palm Beach County and also the GC license holder for Lennar, Scott, as well as the head construction supervisor Mack, countless customer service representatives, sales managers and sales people, the construction supervisor at Arden, Daryl (I may have missed a few but) being told that everything would be taken care of but yet waiting over 120 days for punch list items to be remedied as well as countless warranty items, I would say that this has got to be the worst construction company around. Mistakes all over in what you asked for. . Looks nice until you uncover all the rushed poor workmanship all over the house.. Getting a response to issues is a nightmare with numerous requests needed, supervisors that do not respond, workmen that do not show up, and then you find what is "not covered" you were not told about. We have had to file 7 claims to care in 3 months. Lennar refuses to do anything above the minimum to fix. Not something we ever anticipated with a brand new home. Continue to set high expectations and fail to deliver on them.

Quantity, not quality should be the Lennar motto!

If you are going to purchase a Lennar home be sure you can be onsite everyday looking at the construction being done. The workmanship was not good on our house and we will be putting in rework tickets the entire year during our warranty period. You also need to do a thorough walk through before you accept the house and pack your patience for closing; just plan on a three hour ordeal. Good luck!

We purchased our house from Lennar about 5 months ago. We identified a lot of issues before the closing date. The builder was not able to fix all of them before the closing date. I signed a document to accept the house and did leave a note in the document that there were things in the punch list that were not completed before the closing date. Big Builder Only Cares About The Money

The construction team is a joke! They do not care about any of your concerns throughout the entire building process. It is only a matter of time before the economy catches up with the condescending attitude of everyone in upper management with Lennar. workmanship and materials are the worst

Everyone has been helpful however the grout in EVERY room is crumbling away and needs to be redone with a better product which is not covered on the warranty. My counter top is sagging and falling apart, I'm afraid to put anything on it. Like I said, everyone I dealt with to buy the house was great, but everything they used to build the house with is cheap and makes me feel like I over paid!

I’ve reported issues prior to moving in that still haven’t been fixed! They keep changing workers that don’t know the previous reported issues! They used recycled wood to rebuild the house which ive asked to be replaced now three times. The cement has a huge bulge in the backyard and they spray painted the ground around the whole house and stained the cement! Terrible at following up with issues; way too many problems with house due to poor work by contractors and lack of attention to detail. This is the first home I have owned and I did a lot of research before purchasing from Lennar. I am so disappointed. They rushed to have everything done so they could have us in the house by the end of their quarter. I am reminded daily of their sloppy workmanship and how they cut corners to be done on time.
