Out of good faith we accepted the house with many things still not fixed that we saw on the initial walk through and the final. After escrow was closed we were tossed out the priority list. Many many things that had to be fix as expected, disappointment came when I had to chase down the warrant people for every single thing that had to be fixed, some of the stuff took weeks to be fixed and some other we had to be very persistent to get them fix. We are beyond disappointed after spending half a million dollars on a home where the walls aren’t square, nail pops all over the house, the pendant lights are not center over the bar, and we have nothing but dead grass outside. Awful experience. Wouldn’t do it again, and I wish we backed out of the deal.

I was rushed during the entire process and given false promises. I was lied about being able to back out of the deal if I didn’t feel comfortable, Lennar representatives threatened me with legal action and withholding my deposit if I backed out of a home that was of terrible quality and the worst workmanship I’ve ever seen in a new build. The communication was good only until they got me to sign the contract, which the representative forced me to sign without reading. He skipped over significant details when he “went over it” with me, especially the part where I could not back out of the home ...

Compared to other home builders, Lennar falls short. Lennar's saying "Everything is Included" should be changed to "Nothing is Included." You want to customize Ethernet Cables in the house? NOPE. Rain Gutters? NOPE. In fact, all the stuff that IS included is the standard stuff you get for free, except it's probably the lowest quality materials/products available. The "quartz" type material used for the countertops is a nightmare to clean. If you spill anything on it, it will absorb it and stain as if it was permanent marker. Lenar Agent sold for 30000 extra then homes in same area, no quality materials , crack in foundation,silings everything cheap. Construction managers not doing quality checks. Found more then 20 issues before closing,due to 60 days have to send list for correction

AC systems installed do not work as they should

I complained that my new AC system doesn't cool down in the afternoons & they claim it's normal as long as its 20 degrees cooler inside than outside so 80 degrees homes with 100 degree weather outside is normal to them & they won't fix regardless of the so called warranty. I'm 1 of MANY neighbors with the same complaint left to accept these hot conditions.

Terrible workmanship and materials

Lennar homes are terrible quality, seems like builder just rush their work and use the cheapest material as possible. Foundation cracks have appeared and have made my floor rise and lennar says that there is no foundation issue. Even after I have had my own third party foundation company tell me there are problems. Will never buy a lennar home again.

First house I tried to buy was in Seguin, Texas. My closing date was postponed and then on the day of new closing date I was told "your husband has to co-sign." One whole month they couldnt't figure out that my loan was a liability. I was extremely disappointed. For buying a first home, I had a very stressful experience trying to constantly prove that money was money was available because they couldn’t read. Not till I got my realtor involved the “issues” cleared. Quality and craftsmanship is horrible, no pride in quality of work. When you do need answers during the process everyone blames everyone and says it’s someone else doing it. Too many hands involved. I would never buy a Lennar home again.

My new home consultant was the worst poor communication, he lied every chance he got, then he quit just two weeks before I had to close on the home. I canot begain to state how regrettful i am in buying this Lennar home. The workmanship is the worst ive ever seen in my 69 years. Nothing is plumb nor levell. The exterior concrete looks DRUNK. Worst experience with the builder starts from sales team till handover team. They behave like monark. Very rude. Not ready to accept any of our requests. Agreement is mostly from their side (one side ). they can change what ever they want.

As a former licensed realtor and third time homeowner, this is by far the most awful home buying experience I’ve ever not only personally experienced but seen in the industry. Lennar is not well established in Idaho and is unable to find decent contractors to build their homes. While these homes have nice layouts and they buy decent materials to put in the homes, they are built horribly. Our home’s floor was never leveled and there are large gaps between the floors and baseboards and our floors bubble in places and our back sliding door is difficult to close because it’s uneven. From signing the contract to requesting service for items covered under builder warranty has been a horrible experience. The builder is using real state agents to other bidding, who have no idea about the building process or the established standards. Everything in the construction process is contracted out to third parties that hire workers at minimum wage without any construction experience. The quality of work and finishing is awful. Their only purpose is to quickly proceed from contract to closing. Do not waste your time, money, or energy.
