Lennar - The build of the house is amazing.

The build of the house is amazing. The construction manager and employees are awesome. The realtor we were in contact with from Lennar was so helpful. Our lender with Lennar was awful. Communication didn’t exist with her. Would no recommend using Lennar lender to anyone.

I have purchased Lennar Homes in the past (Cal-Atlantic/Ryland Homes) by far this was the worst home buying experience. If it wasn't for the lot size and location, I should have gone with one of the other builders in the neighborhood (Stanley Martin or Providence Homes). The sales experience was terrible both salespeople were not on the same page and took a long time to get a response back. As far as the builder and follow up person they were great and overworked because they had a lot of building going on, but when I was able to speak with them they were able to respond to my questions. ...

We moved in to the house 3 months back and the drive way concrete had multiple wide cracks, when approached with the problem, the builder is not ready to fix because the external concrete is not covered in the warranty items. So we are not happy with the response.

3rd still not happy

I don't think Lennar is in sink with all of there offices. whey will call you for closing when the home is not ready. if you give then 10 week heads up that you will be on Military orders they don't care and still set you up to close that day even if the home is not done. I think the next time we start looking for a new home we will start by looking for a new builder.

Overall exterior and interior trim work was extremely poor massive amounts of caulk used to close poor craftsmanship / millwork. MI windows are falling a part - they will all need to be replaced within 12/15 years.

In the Dark

I don't know where to begin. Start to finish this has been the worst experience I have had in building/buying a home. We were left in the dark pretty much the entire process. All the people with this company do is put out fires. If you aren't relentless in calling and pressing for answers you will be forgotten. They are too busy to build any home, or give any customer experience of any quality. They will have to resend you documents to sign over and over because of simple mistakes like correct address or house number. This resending of documents lasted till we were sitting at the ...

I would not recommend Lennar as your lender the experience was awful. I almost walked away until I found my new lender who had the deal done in 2 weeks

Sales office could not get the paperwork right and communicate on the closing of our house from the start to the finish. Was a horrible experience. Corporate office refused to address our concerns when they were contacted directly. You think that they would be a whole lot easier and attentive to detail especially when you are paying cash for your new home. Would make me think twice if I was buying a home again. I will definitely not be referring them to any perspective byer anytime soon! Shame on you!

There are not enough negative adjectives to accurately describe how horrendous our experience with Lennar Mortgage was. We would get sent a message, we’d respond with a question and no one would get back to us for days. Our initial application sat on the underwriters desk for 2 weeks when Lennar pushes closing within a month. We spent over 5 hours on the phone with their 3rd party credit company only to be told we need to send in documents for all the questions they spent the 5 hours going through. Overall the buying experience of my home was terrible. I had issue after issue and the neighborhood itself continued to be delayed. The communication from the company was terrible. Lennar financing department is terrible, lack of communication and each person blames the next saying it’s not their responsibility even though everyone is representing Lennar. I would say the builder was better side of the Lennar company until they refused to make repairs promised they would repair after final walk through, blaming weather for inability to make repairs prior to final walk through and now refuse to make repairs stating it’s not cover through their warranty. My wife and I promptly supplied everything needed to the underwriting team and were exactly where we needed to be in order to be approved and were denied at the last second after they had already given us a closing date. Only to find out from the builder they should have offered us another lender which they never did and even the builder was upset for us after everything we all had been through at that point. Refund on our down payment took forever to receive back. Overall terrible experience. Two thumbs down. Do not recommend. If you’re looking to buy a new home don’t go with Lennar.

The electronic processing of financial documents was so cumbersome and hostile I cancelled the purchase contract Mar 1, a few days after signing it. Also, someone in the purchase process leaked my personal information to mortgage lenders and I immediately began receiving financial offers for a mortgage. Your model homes look wonderful but the built home is nothing but cheap materials. How about a light fixture or carpet pad the list goes on. How about more than one linen closet or having bigger closet. This home was a nightmare to baby sit during the building process. The process was overshadowed by the buying experience… Frank who set up my celebration was extremely rude treated me as if he was doing me a favor. The reviews were spot on. I liked the house so much is the only reason I continued the process to purchase. I highly doubt I’ll buy another lennar home again love my house but customer service was ridiculous.

I do not recommend buying a Lennar home. They use very cheap materials and the sales people lie. I cannot get mail at my new house. My Solar panels do not work, faucets are made out of plastic. They warranty dept is pretty good except they can only replace the broken junk with the same junk
