The homebuying experience has been less than ideal. From putting in an offer on the house being told last minute that I can’t close due to a quote on quote SHA policy until my family member outlined the FHA guidelines did the sales team change their tune. The lender that was referred by Lennar again not great. I asked multiple times during the process for additional review of my good faith estimate, and was told I had to get back with the sales agent who never returned my emails. Chris who is on the construction side has been the only person to follow up and show any type of customer service. ...

This is our third new home and has definitely been the worst of all three. The craftsmanship and details are lacking. The response from Lennar has been lacking and when they do respond, they say it isn’t covered or need to call another company.

Home wasn’t ready when promised. Allowed to close without CO. Had to go to hotel. Oven didn’t fit. No kitchen for 3 weeks. Cabinets broken. House was dirty. Floor wasn’t laid level. Bumps and hills throughout. Hollow tiles throughout. Upstairs creeks. Grout not straight and spilled throughout the home. Doors not level. Stairs rails not secured. My experience with Lennar has been horrible.. Since day one I wanted to buy a house with a loan and the person a spoke to thought it was cash and obviously they waited until closing day to contact me and that was a huge problem.. going from buying cash to a loan and I almost lost my deposite which is 10% of the house values ( crazy) if this was my first house I would never want to go through that also because Lennar people are not helpful at all.. honestly I don’t have time to do this but I do not recommend friends or family to buy from Lennar.. Workmanship is inferior and many of the materials that were used should never have been used. I’ve been in my house for only 2 months and already considering selling it.

The reason my husband and I chose Lennar for our recent home purchase in Inman SC was based on a prior experience with purchasing a Lennar home in Summerville SC in 2017. Every person we interacted with back then was sincere, thorough and pleasant. It was such a smooth process. Our experience this go around has been the opposite. The walkthrough was a joke. Chris didn't want to be there and it showed. He explained nothing. All of the issues could have and should have been addressed before the walk through. It was left with you have a year to find all other issues. We have been without the original garbage disposal for over 2 weeks now. As far as the builder is concerned I don't have a garbage disposal. Very expensive house not worth the money. Lennar give you incomplete house. My house was with no gutters and took them 6 to 7 weeks to install gutters. Garage door still missing side trim. Horrible electricity, when plugged any device it tripped the circuit breaker. Windows are not soundproof. Bad window screens can’t pull up or has no pull tabs. Doors are defected. The only positive I've had throughout my experience is with my Sales Consultant Joe Casinguay. The Construction side of Lennar is Horrible! Communication, Quality of Construction, Integrity, Pride is workmanship from their Trades is nonexistent! My first new construction experience and I will not do it again unless I'm my own General contractor. If you care about buying a quality home and having good communication with the builder, Do Not Buy from Lennar!!!!!!

Everything about this home buying process was miserable and it was made worst when we moved in. We spent over a million dollars on this home and it is made so poorly. They even forgot to put air ducts in my home.. how do you miss that. I have moved to three other new built houses in the past, this was the worse experience ever. From beginning to end- starting with the sales person, who did not know much, everything had to be asked to supervisor, she provided wrong information. I will never ever go with Lennar again! If you’re looking for a home, don’t ever go with Lennar. Save yourself the hassle and certainly save your money invested somewhere else. once I started the process with them, we faced absolutely endless problems. Even after we moved in the house nothing but issues( leaking dishwasher, plumbing issues where they had to cut the drywall all over again, electricity issues, air-conditioning unit doesn’t work…..etc)
