Very expensive house not worth the money. Lennar give you incomplete house. My house was with no gutters and took them 6 to 7 weeks to install gutters. Garage door still missing side trim. Horrible electricity, when plugged any device it tripped the circuit breaker. Windows are not soundproof. Bad window screens can’t pull up or has no pull tabs. Doors are defected. Doors broken at strike plate. Towel and toilet paper holders loose and came out many times. Numerous paint and drywall defects. Terrible exterior molding defects. Kitchen cabinets has many cracks. It takes them long time to fix anything. Our representative did not come with us in the walkthrough twice. His excuse was he is busy and Lennar has shortage of staff! You will feel depressed instead of feeling happy in your new home. Horrible customer care! ... More

I am a repeat customer with Lennar. Technically I purchased with Cal Atlantic my first home and about a month before closing, Lennar took over. However, my home stayed with Cal Atlantic team until closed and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to finish. The Cal Atlantic sales team was thorough and welcoming and even met me on the day of move in to walk my home. I never put in a single work order. Since Cal Atlantic got bought out by Lennar, I figure that they would have the same quality and customer service, but boy- Lennar is way inferior to Cal Atlantic. The buying experience was terrible, I didn’t know who I bought from and could barely get to respond to my emails and text messages. I bought at a high time and lennar must have banked on capitalizing on that because they provided NO customer service. However, how you treat people comes back to bite you and I am seeing that. The market has shifted. It didn’t stop there- we didn’t have anyone walk us to our home on the day of close (they can’t use Covid as an excuse) as we closed in October 2022. Lennar is just lazy. Our house was a wreck, the details were horrible, this was nothing like the model. Cabinets has dents, nails protruding, my shower head didn’t have hot water until 7 mins, and didn’t have any pressure. No electricity in some rooms, leak under sink, dish washer not mounted, dents in baseboards, cracks in tubs, the lists goes on and on. When speaking and follow up to customer service, they were dishonest and kept on trying to tell, my shower because it’s in the master that it’s hard to get water up there. I called a plumber and there were rocks and debris that were in the shower head causing the issue. Lennar tries to tell you that these things are normal so they don’t have to come back and fix it. But it’s been a horrible experience with entering work orders, you have to waste your personal time to wait for them to call you virtual to verify and take photos . Then you have to wait for a trade to call you to schedule and be home for the trade. It’s a full time job and will take away from your time working. It’s ridiculous. Our street, 50% of the homes have active leaks from the rain right after moving in because of missing roof tiles. Thank goodness our gutters installation caught ours and notified us before the rain otherwise we would have been in that count. Do better, Lennar! Stop being crooks and taking people’s hard earned money and start living what your company core values are. Start with honesty and quality. ... More

I don't want to give a single star to Lennar. My home buying experience with Lennar is my worst and biggest mistake of my life and i'll not recommend to my friends and colleagues to buy a home specifically from Lennar.

We almost pulled out of the purchase after we were misled on closing dates and the reason why our home was delayed. The project was poorly managed and the builder tried to blame the utility company but the truth was Lennar failed to secure a timely building inspection. The communication from the sale agent was appalling, we were encouraged to sign our contract on the Wednesday only to be told 16 hours later that the close date of the following day Friday was again delayed. This was my 21st home purchase/sale in 32 years and my second new home construction purchase and I would not buy with Lennar again. I am appalled at the failure to communicate in a timely manner and to relay the true reasons for delays. To top it off when we finally closed escrow, 2 months late, we picked up our keys and garage door openers only to be given the opener for our neighbors garage door. Honestly the miscommunication, disorganization and inefficiency made me not want to buy the house... ... More

The only positive I've had throughout my experience is with my Sales Consultant Joe Casinguay. The Construction side of Lennar is Horrible! Communication, Quality of Construction, Integrity, Pride is workmanship from their Trades is nonexistent! My first new construction experience and I will not do it again unless I'm my own General contractor. If you care about buying a quality home and having good communication with the builder, Do Not Buy from Lennar!!!!!!

This was the most unorganized build I have ever had. I used Lennar mortgage and title, thinking it would help communications. However, none of them seemed to communicate nor even know what the other was doing. I had unbelievable issues at every step. My closing was a disaster of miscommunication and they ended up missing 2 pages for me to sign. Then hounded me to sign the pages and fedex them. I have very obvious damages, which were just ignored until after closing and are now “warrenty”. Including a dropped dryer with the back dented in. The grinding noise made me call GE. These are just a few of my issues. The local warranty man makes me very uncomfortable as he keeps asking to be invited to my hot tub. ... More

So many things broken poor job v careless, around Christmas I had leaking ceiling that’s was sat someone came on Tuesday since they waited I had another leak in bedroom wet carpet, couldn’t find a leak , left different people came days later opened up more ceiling and wall upstairs bedroom what happened was when they were installing the ceiling they hit with the nails sprinkler system pipes which made the leaking happen, I had so many things to fix in this place they still working on it , if I would know new house was like this with so many issues I no would never buy this place, v poor job people that are doing the inside work are not Qualified people . ... We have been given 6 different closing periods. We finally closed after being offered an incentive because you needed to close out their year end books. We still only have a TCO but no CO due to a list of 20 items that need to be fixed: we have no shower in the master, electrical switches that don’t operate anything, half the doors are missing, moldings are missing, it had to be replastered and needs painting, cabinets need to be fixed, tiles are chipped, front door needs to be sealed, plus other issues. According to the amended contract the unit was supposed to be completed January 1/23 we are now bringing it to arbitration. When we voice issues and concerns to sales or construction team managers we are ignored or told what we want to hear but with no positive results. We had planned on renting our home out for the season but have lost that opportunity due to the home being in finished. All of our neighbors are frustrated as well and I will not be recommending this builder to anyone in the future. ... More

Scott is trying to resolve the too numerous to count issues and is the only positive for Lennar I would be happy to expand but this has not been what I would have wanted or expected

Everything about this home buying process was miserable and it was made worst when we moved in. We spent over a million dollars on this home and it is made so poorly. They even forgot to put air ducts in my home.. how do you miss that. The only thing that has come out of it, is that these issues have made me bond with my neighbors over our infatuation of Lennar and our home. I even told one of the builders I wasn't happy with lennar and as opposed to asking me why.. he said "thats a common theme". If it is a common theme then fix it. I am so incredibly disappointed that I can't enjoy my million dollar home ... More

House thrown together with the promise of....we will fix your issues within a year. We were really disappointed when we were forced to sign for closing. We were told sign or lose your 42,ooo. Cupboards all put together uneven, tile chipped, granite chipped, walls slapped together with oneven drywall, stucco missing on outside of house and more. We almost walked away. My husband has been fixing so much himself. All neighbors say that's how Lennar rolls. We bought this home because our friends said they bought one years ago and they were great....not anymore!!

I have moved to three other new built houses in the past, this was the worse experience ever. From beginning to end- starting with the sales person, who did not know much, everything had to be asked to supervisor, she provided wrong information. I was told all the closing cost would be covered and it was not, I am still waiting for answers, since November 29th- closing date. My home was not completed when it was supposed to be, I had to move in to a house needed another week of work. As of now, there is still long list of items needs to be completed. To top all of these, home owners association made a mistake with the monthly payments and actual cost is around $80 more than what I was told. Worse ever................................. ... More

Is not a good company

I will never ever go with Lennar again! If you’re looking for a home, don’t ever go with Lennar. Save yourself the hassle and certainly save your money invested somewhere else. once I started the process with them, we faced absolutely endless problems. Even after we moved in the house nothing but issues( leaking dishwasher, plumbing issues where they had to cut the drywall all over again, electricity issues, air-conditioning unit doesn’t work…..etc)

You have made my dream home a complete nightmare.

Lennar released property to me as a purchaser with grading and drainage issues. Part of the property is a retention wall, house is built on a slope. During the construction, after hurricane Ian sink holes appeared on the property. In the next couple of visits, I expressed my concern with the stability of the land, but construction engineer said that Lennar will do it right. In good faith, I trusted that the builder have good reputation and will not allow unsolved problems before passing the property to the purchaser. I was very very wrong… 10 days after the closing, sink holes and hazard appeared on the property and compromised the integrity of the retention wall. The site is devastating. Here now about 45 days i am getting run-around and their land development that was supposed to come for assessment 2 days ago never showed up. We made attempt to connect with the warranty point person, he didn’t return the call. No one deserves this, huge problems, anxiety, concerns. I cannot even begin to explain the hardship in this journey that took all the joy and experience of a new home that I worked for all my life. ... More

Lennar is horrible. Offered an outrageous interest rate. Had us do a walkthrough when the house was nowhere close to being ready. Rude and unaccommodating staff. Extremely stressful and disappointing experience.

We identified multiple issues throughout the process of the build, yet they were not rectified. Now we are stuck with a large inconvenience as these things still need to be fixed and the emotional stress of not being able to fully move into our new house. The house has to be repainted, multiple windows replaced due to improper installation leaving windows to not close, the conditioned crawl space was not professionally done, multiple finishing issues throughout the house, and the exterior of the house has equal amount of finishing issues and sections of concrete needing to be repoured due to wood and debris being allowed to get into the concrete causing it to crack due to water/ice expansion. Even the design is flawed, given we have over a 110 gallon master bath tub but only a 50 gallon water heater. Industry standard calls for a minimum 2/3 ratio which would be approximately a 75 gallon water heater (why not install a tankless system???). The mortgage/lending team were not familiar with the military or VA loans which was disheartening. I feel like I grossly overpaid, expecting a Lennar quality home that you’d see in other states, but received an “economy” build where you’d expect corners to be cut and quality to be poor. Lennar is better than this, but it doesn’t show and is not represented by my home. I hope they are professional and compensate us appropriately. ... More

We bought our first home in SC with DH Horton and thought they needed to improve their craftsmanship, but Lennar has them beat two fold!! It was a negative experience commencing with the home orientations == closing had to be pushed back because of the inadequacy in the non-completion and sloppiness in construction, overlooking details we asked to be fixed and just plain ignoring before closing! The quality or lack of quality by the "so called cleaning crew" to make the house be cleaned correctly; paint stains all over the floors! One of the positive attributes of DH Horton is that they give the new homeowners a 10 month walk through were they fixed any cracks, nail studs that occur with the house settling. Lennar just cleans their hands and says "it's your problem now"!!! Although it may be stipulated in the "warranty", this should not be an issue to have this be part of what should be covered in your 1 year warranty. When you walk into the model, it gives you the illusion that Lennar is paying close attention to the craftsmanship and details, but that is all it is -- an illusion! We've had the same conversation with some of the other new owners, and it's always the same speech given by your salesforce "you have to remember these are not custom built homes -- therefore, you can't expect everything to be perfect!" Well, when you're paying in the $300's for a new home, we should have certain expectations as a finished product! PS: I rated a two star for "value for price paid" because after we bought our house, we find out there were 8 houses for sale for $40-$50,000 less -- how is that interpreted as getting a good value for your money! ... My experience was less than satisfying. At least I made it through the absolute train wreck from start to my 5 hour cluster of a closing experience and thought I could live happily in my home. But, NO!! Lennar didn't schedule a final inspection for the loan and out of the blue nearly 2 months after I close I find out they are threatening legal against me for them not scheduling an inspection??? This is beyond ridiculous!!

Was really excited to buy my first home and everything seemed great at the beginning. That was about the only good experience. From the buying experience, to the build, to the close, everything was a nightmare and I would never recommend Lennar to my worst enemy. The title office called me as I was on the way to close telling me I owed more money, literally as I was driving there after being told multiple times I owed nothing more. "Glitch" in their system was the excuse. The house was unfinished when I moved in, and is still unfinished. Almost all of my kitchen cabinets are broken or missing, cracks in tiles, bathroom cabinets broken, showers unfinished, granite countertops not sealed, cheaped out on a bunch of materials that most of the neighborhood got but I didn't, because they "ran out of material" to do my garage floor, cabinet handles, brick wall outside, etc. The construction manager Travis literally told me he was going to fight me if he saw me outside of work because I told them they were doing a bad job after being patient for months and understanding all of their push backs and excuses for not getting the job done. The list goes on but this is just the stuff off the top of my head after being in the home for two months. Again, get as far away from this builder as you can. They hide behind their contracts and take ZERO pride in their work/customer service because they know there is nothing you can do to them after you sign your life away and give them the down payment. The worst experience of my life buying home from Lennar. Bad salesman from start to finish with little to no help , construction manager cheating and treat you like a kid, paint finish crack and final walk have to delay because no one did it from the first walk , after they touch up move in the paint dry and show crack again leaving the buyer stuck . Never never buy from Lennar

We have built 7 houses and this was the worst experience of any of them.
