Too many imperfections caused by fast and sloppy workmanship. The entire process is rushed from start to finish. Everywhere I look I find issues with finishing touches. We just moved in and we're already thinking about selling.

Lennar responded:
Hi Samuel, thank you for letting us know about your experience. Please send us an email with the issues you have found and we will follow-up. Our email address is corporatecustomercare@lennar.com. Thank you.

LENNAR is the MOST SORRY business that I have ever dealt with . After TWO months I do not have a correct title to the home. The Tittle company is sending mail for me to the address of the home purchased . I do not live there. The Title company ignores me. LENNAR is a SORRY company. I am contacting the Al. Our experience has been horrible. The house was poorly built and the responses to fix this items have been challenging. The roof company did not do the roof correctly. I had to hired an independent roof inspector 3 times and showed them proof of the items they did not fix. They had to come and “fix the roof” 5 times. That cost me 700 dollar to ensure they do it right. As of right now I am still fighting for them to fix over 15 mayor items. One of them being the floor that has a significant slope. In which the floor contractor stated “we are not on the business of making the floor level”. ...

Unreliable service appointments and lack of basic communication

We had a very frustrating experience with the service process after purchasing our home. A repair was needed for an issue related to construction. My husband took time off work and waited at the property for four hours for a scheduled appointment, but no one showed up and no communication was provided. Since then, we have made a simple and reasonable request: a courtesy text message 15 to 30 minutes before arrival. We live only 15 minutes away and can easily accommodate service visits with minimal disruption if we receive that notice. This request has been refused, and our service ...

Buyer Beware! Serious Quality Failures, Data Privacy Concerns, and Poor Workmanship

Major concern during closing: * We were sent documents containing another buyer’s personal information multiple times * Almost every email we sent to the team went unanswered * We only received a response after threatening to report it, which we ultimately did Communication failures and disorganization: * The assigned concierge repeatedly said she was the “go-to” contact, but was unresponsive for weeks at a time and rarely replied to emails * We had to track down answers ourselves by contacting multiple people * Key personnel changed during and after the process, which created ...

These people are a joke. Expect all smiles and a helping hand right until you sign the purchase agreement, lender never answer questions, only when convenient, send paperwork to sign and 2+2≠4, virtual closing but no plan for key hand off, the concierge is useless … close to 2 months in the new house and it’s definitely not flat/even, huge gaps and tile is hollow throughout, problems with electric, appliances, bugs entering home is TOTALLY NORMAL. They will do ANYTHING to not fix the poor craftsmanship… highly recommend you shop with D.R. Horton. Overall, this was the highest level of ...

The loan processes were long and some were unnecessary. Questions to the loan office/offices were unanswered. The loan also included my credit cards balances that had been paid long before the loan closed. Requested to removed the amount received no response. I am still waiting for someone to contact me to resolve this issue.

Not a happy first time buying

I am a single mom and was hoping buying my first home would be easy, but it was not. It came with several challenges. One, they told me the house would be cleaned before I moved in, and that never happened. Workers' footprints have stained parts of the floor. I had to call the warranty several times. The person who walked through the house never informed us of several things. Lennar homes are spec homes and go up very quickly. The contract manager was helpful, but once I closed on the house and he promised things, he could no longer help out, and I had to jump through hoops to get things ...

They installed a set of steps going into garage that is not safe, their response, do it yourself! Inquired why they put a latch on screen with nowhere to latch the lock, their response we don't care. Any inquiries are met with uncaring response of continued referral. The staff in Liberty Lake is uncaring and unhelpful. Once they get their money, they no longer care. I wouldn't recommend Lennar to anyone, wished I hadn't bought from them, crooks and uncaring company.

This whole experience has been terrible. Lennar employees have zero communication skills. They don’t return your phone calls, and they don’t communicate with each other until you get upset and ask to speak to their managers. When you put a work order in they don’t show up for services when they say they are or they close work orders without completing any work. The HOA fee is a joke and when we first were looking into this subdivision they told us wifi and trash were all included with our HOA fee. Well that was a complete lie. You pay separate for everything. If you move here you are stuck ...

It was extremely lonely once I signed my contract

The sales people were extremely responsive and helpful until you sign the contract. Once the contract is signed, no one cares. If there are issues or concerns, then you can always cancel your contract which means they take you 10k. I'd bought a Lennar home earlier in tracy and was hoping things got better in the process, but it was gotten worst. With everything being online - I've had to chase people to just get what was promised to me. If I had to purchase - I'll definitely not buy a home with Lennar. They say everything is included, but they don't say what is included like towel racks ...

I felt mislead in the process., I sent all required documents which took a lot of time. I did everything I was told to do including paying 500 dollars earnest money. After about a month of being led on I was told I didn’t qualify. I was told initially my credit score was 644, it hadn’t changed but then I was told it needed to be higher; was told initially 620 was all required. Got the run around about getting my earnest money back; took about 30 days.

Lennar made everything sound really nice in the beginning. Congratulated us multiple times throughout the process, pay our deposit & down payment, had us go through inspection and finalize all the paperwork till the last minute after pushing back our closing date 2 months (3 times) to say that their underwriter could not approve us after all . A waste of time, and so disappointing.

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your experience Vanessa. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. Our team is always looking for ways to improve, and your input helps us enhance the homebuying journey for our customers. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care
