I would not suggest a Lennar home to anyone. There is no quality in our Lennar home. The shoddy work, incompleted work, no attention to detail, horrible mistakes that were left, horrible painting job, etc. I can go on and on. #donotbuyLennar is what I plan to go viral with. I have nails coming out of the stairs (that I stepped on), nails coming through cabinets (that I've cut my finger on). The lack of attention to detail is horrible. I need to put a sign in my front yard to warn potential buyers to stay away from Lennar. Everyone I speak with who are looking for a new construction, I advise them of the horrible home I am dealing with. I absolutely would not recommend a Lennar home to anyone; and Lennar should be ashamed of themselves for allowing contractors to do the shoddy work. I am definitely going to use my new as a resource for others to NOT buy Lennar. It's sad that I have crooked walls, places where the structure does not even meet, poor quality of painting, work left incomplete, the sloppiness, cutting corners, using bad products - again, I can go on and on. Lennars home buying experience is horrific. From the lies that the manipulative realtors spew, to the horrible workmanship. Their goal of Lennar is to only complete a house to 90%before closing. Punch lists are never completed. Extremely manipulative to women. Take total advantage of. Do not buy a Lennar home.

Quality and Customer service Sucks. Wish i could Rate NEGATIVE

Too many negative things to list them all. Constant delays and lies. Quality is so bad I would never buy a Lennar home again.

Dont buy from Lennar, EVER! They are cheapskates who cant do anything right, force you into closing early with promises of fixing things, but do not deliver. The material is cheap, the labor is crap, the multiple mistakes due to their cheap laborers is absolutely horrible. The home is not worth the price they charge AT ALL! I could have done a better job than their day laborers. Their construction manager Derrick clearly has no idea how to do his job or how to manage his workers to make sure they do it right. We have had nothing, but issues and we have only been in the home a month. The padding between townhomes walls is not enough, the padding under the carpet is none existent. We can hear everything! There is no sound proofing whatsoever, its like living in an apt again. The paint mistakes, the caulking missed, the leaking windows, tile floors installed incorrectly, the broken cabinets, and these are some of the issues we have that have yet to be fixed, The sales people have no idea what they are selling. No one in this organization communicates with anyone else. Sales people promise one thing, but that is clearly not what is done. Lennar has been a nightmare from day one. I was threatened with taking my retirement to a large fine if I didn't close when Lennar wanted to close. On the day of closing Lennar was not ready and the unit was certainly not completed. I closed on Dec 5, 2022 and as of today Jan 25,2023 I still cannot move my belongings in because the doors and windows still will not lock/open. I have contacted and have been promised by many of Lennar people and still no resolution. I have had to pay an additional $1000 for storage because I cannot move in my condo. I have other issues such as the front entrance floods due to sidewalk not slanted properly, my vanity doors are damaged. House was a mess when we moved in. Walls needed repainting and when they repainted the workers got paint on carpet, tile, everything and it is not cleaned up yet. Our A/C has gone out 3 times and is still not fixed. No one from Lennar follows up when work order is put in. Finally, the HOA is charging us a late fee because Lennars title company sent them a faded check that HOA could not cash and cannot get a hold of the title company to cut a new check. I would not recommend to anyone to deal with Lennar.

Lennar couldn’t get our house done by closing on Dec.28 so they pushed it to Jan16. Home is still not finished! We settled for a Lennar home in a different area of town. The experience has been horrible. We can’t even get the warranty people out to patch up the things that were pointed out on our walkthrough before closing. I don’t recommend buying.

BAD COMPANY AND STAFF

The homebuying experience has been less than ideal. From putting in an offer on the house being told last minute that I can’t close due to a quote on quote SHA policy until my family member outlined the FHA guidelines did the sales team change their tune. The lender that was referred by Lennar again not great. I asked multiple times during the process for additional review of my good faith estimate, and was told I had to get back with the sales agent who never returned my emails. Chris who is on the construction side has been the only person to follow up and show any type of customer service. I did not close on my loan until November 30 after 10 PM after I demanded a mobile notary to come to my house due to the hick up with Lennar ‘s closing department. I was asked for the same document multiple times causing tons of stress for a newly divorced homeowner. The customer service with Lennar is by far the worst I’ve ever experience. This is my fifth home purchasing and I have never been treated so poorly the day of closing I did not even get the full experience as other homeowners with the red carpet roll out or even the banner and balloons. I notated the condition of my cabinets prior to moving into the house and here we are now at the end of January, and I’m being told my cabinets will not be fixed until May. The paneling of the cabinets are pilling off one of the actual doors is completely off the hinges, broken cabinetry in the kitchen and nothings been done to expedite this. Furthermore, I have not been able to hang up any clothes in my closet as my comply closet is completely broken and that was also outlined prior to closing. My backyard is a complete utter mess with holding water everywhere. I would like to have the great customer service. This is our third new home and has definitely been the worst of all three. The craftsmanship and details are lacking. The response from Lennar has been lacking and when they do respond, they say it isn’t covered or need to call another company.

Home wasn’t ready when promised. Allowed to close without CO. Had to go to hotel. Oven didn’t fit. No kitchen for 3 weeks. Cabinets broken. House was dirty. Floor wasn’t laid level. Bumps and hills throughout. Hollow tiles throughout. Upstairs creeks. Grout not straight and spilled throughout the home. Doors not level. Stairs rails not secured. Grout accidentally used in stead of caulking. Made promises to have things done but almost 8 weeks and punch list still not done. Not even paint. Trades make appointments but never show. If we could get our money back we would move out. No one is happy in our neighborhood. Workmanship is laughable. Trades have stated they are pushed too hard and cant do quality work. NIGHTMARE. ... My experience with Lennar has been horrible.. Since day one I wanted to buy a house with a loan and the person a spoke to thought it was cash and obviously they waited until closing day to contact me and that was a huge problem.. going from buying cash to a loan and I almost lost my deposite which is 10% of the house values ( crazy) if this was my first house I would never want to go through that also because Lennar people are not helpful at all.. honestly I don’t have time to do this but I do not recommend friends or family to buy from Lennar.. I do have experience with Dr Horton and they’re great from costumer service, they help and guide costumer so well something that lennar doesn’t do ohhhh and they don’t keep your money if something goes wrong with the loan/house and you guys take peoples savings with no remorse.. there’s so many things that I would love to say here but don’t have the time to be typing.. So I finally got my house with a lot of problems and needed something to be fix right away and I was told that wasn’t lennars problem and then I was told to contact John buscemi which he doesn’t answer his phone or reply to emails. It’s very sad to get the service response and no good enough information shared ahead. I am following up almost two months keep o. Reporting issues but very few of them were resolved

extremely poor performance on Lennar's part. the house is still not complete two months after "forced" closing. now paying on a property that we cannot move into since construction is still not complete. no response or follow up on their part. would not recommend this company to anyone.

To many mistakes in the construction phase broken window glass and sliding glass doors to the lanai leaking water in the sink!!! Terrible

Once we moved in it was warranty claims after warranty claims that take months to get repair and yet it still hasn’t been done.

Workmanship is inferior and many of the materials that were used should never have been used. I’ve been in my house for only 2 months and already considering selling it.

Worst home buying experience only except for my realtor. Would never buy another Lennar home or recommend to anyone!!

The reason my husband and I chose Lennar for our recent home purchase in Inman SC was based on a prior experience with purchasing a Lennar home in Summerville SC in 2017. Every person we interacted with back then was sincere, thorough and pleasant. It was such a smooth process. Our experience this go around has been the opposite. I will say Robert, our loan officer with Lennar, was amazing and the only reason we didn’t take our business elsewhere. Everyone else we have interacted with has not been a positive experience. Now having an ongoing issue with our upstairs bathtub due it being damaged and repaired prior to closing and not properly reinforcing the tub floor. We have been in our home for just over a month and already the the floor of the tub is cracked. A customer care rep came to my house and said he could easily just deny the claim but because he is being nice Lennar will repair the floor of our tub when we sign a paper forever absolving Lennar, their subcontractors and suppliers of responsibility from future issues with the tub. He said the plumber would still cover their work for a year but we needed to sign paper to have the work done or we could fix it ourselves. He said the issue is cosmetic and not covered. I explained a hole in the floor of the tub because it was not supported properly is not cosmetic. The tub is unusable and not our fault. I asked if the plumber was a Lennar subcontractor and he said yes. I asked how can he say the plumber will honor a warranty for their work if the paper he wants signed says otherwise. He told me the only person that could approve the repair without the agreement of waiving the warranty would be his supervisor. I tried calling his supervisor and have not been able to receive a response. I just want the tub reinforced, repaired and have the warranty still honored. The walkthrough was a joke. Chris didn't want to be there and it showed. He explained nothing. All of the issues could have and should have been addressed before the walk through. It was left with you have a year to find all other issues. We have been without the original garbage disposal for over 2 weeks now. As far as the builder is concerned I don't have a garbage disposal. The contractor who was suppose to cover the disposal said that because they only cover the install and I took it off and had to replace it. They would not do anything. Worst experience i ever had in buying a home

Very expensive house not worth the money. Lennar give you incomplete house. My house was with no gutters and took them 6 to 7 weeks to install gutters. Garage door still missing side trim. Horrible electricity, when plugged any device it tripped the circuit breaker. Windows are not soundproof. Bad window screens can’t pull up or has no pull tabs. Doors are defected. Doors broken at strike plate. Towel and toilet paper holders loose and came out many times. Numerous paint and drywall defects. Terrible exterior molding defects. Kitchen cabinets has many cracks. It takes them long time to fix anything. Our representative did not come with us in the walkthrough twice. His excuse was he is busy and Lennar has shortage of staff! You will feel depressed instead of feeling happy in your new home. Horrible customer care! ... More

I don't want to give a single star to Lennar. My home buying experience with Lennar is my worst and biggest mistake of my life and i'll not recommend to my friends and colleagues to buy a home specifically from Lennar.
