I feel like Lennar used quality materials in certain areas and "not so quality" items in other areas. I like the home. I have the Quill model. The stand alone shower in the master is kind of odd. I would have liked 3 tile walls and just two glass panels. A shower tub combination would have been nice. The location of the Master Bedroom is not great. On one wall in the garage is the noisy heat pump water heater. On the other side I have the neighbor's heat pump for their house, and the freezer dropping ice. I think it would have been better to put the master on the other side. All the people I dealt with in the process of buying the house were very good and client focused. I would have liked to have been passed around to different people less. It got confusing as to who did what in some instances. It was nice that all the appliances and window coverings were included. The house has good storage with the Kitchen pantry, lots of kitchen cabinets, and closets. I hope to enjoy it for many years. ... More

All I can say is no one pays attention to detail. I don’t care what you pay for a home. You should still pay attention to details. Paint on the tile, poor caulking of the tile. Really cheap paint on the walls barely put one coat of paint on the walls ! The garage floor has all kinds of stress cracks. I’m gonna have a home inspection done on the home in the 11th month since the house has a 12 month warranty and guarantee I’m sure there will be problems found. I talked to other homeowners who had inspections done, and there was at least 20 to 30 items that needed to be taken care of under warranty I could nitpick all day long. You guys could’ve buried the gutter system instead of putting some cheap green gutter spill overs for the gutters. The garbage disposal is loud and noisy. The kitchen sink is cheap. I know you get what you pay for the placement of the toilet paper holders were not even in a good place like I said I could go on and on I could really care less at this point. The garage door is really noisy for no reason I’ve lubricated it and it’s still noisy. But who are you gonna complain to? Nobody’s gonna listen anyway. ... More

It was horrible! They robbed me 15k and I would never buy or recommend anyone to buy a house with this company!

Overall, our home is wonderful. However, it has been difficult to get in contact with our liaison regarding issues. We have had minor issues with plumbing and A/C but have been able to apply them to our home warranty which was helpful.

Still waiting for original repairs to be done, but all I get is silence. Can’t wait for the future promises to be broken.

Our sales person, Dennis, was outstanding resource. He went beyond the expected to help us try to communicate with (horrible) Lennar Mortgage. Quality of the finished product was disappointing. Workmanship and finish is far below what you would expect fo one million dollars.

The staff was generally unhelpful, often disrespectful, and consistently untimely. The overall workmanship and quality of materials used in the home are subpar. When I moved in, the house appeared hastily assembled—there was glue left on the floors (which is still there, as the property manager was unable to remove it), and multiple cabinets were misaligned and required adjustment. Several doors and paint areas were left incomplete or showed noticeable yellowing. The paint has been cracked since day one and continues to worsen, despite multiple requests for repair. Its cheap quality no power outlet for kitchen iland no lock for bed rooms and master bath room no internet outlet , you need to make a hole to any wall to get internet connection no response from lennar support team except virtual visit which cannot resolve anything worst finishing on front porch and back patio no blinds for back patio door no water softener loop no gutters

My main point of issue with Lennar was their response times to emails, calls or texts. This especially goes to Tracy their salesperson, Julie in Finance and Lennar Title. Many errors on paperwork that took forever to fix. Once 5pm arrived, Tracy was nowhere to be found and when I finally moved in, no call, text or email to congratulate me from Tracy our salesperson. Every time I dealt with her, it was a job, albeit there were times she was great. Overall, Lennar was unorganized and left me out to dry quite often. My Realtor at Lennar Mr. Brandon Hopay was great. The Finance Team was great to work with and I closed early on the house (Super Effort). The Club House the Pool and Jacuzzi have been great along with my house. The Gentleman taking care of the poolside amenities, chairs, tables, umbrellas and cleaning everything he was amazing. He cleaned up like it was his own house very detailed and through. Thank you, that really it means a lot to me. My last house purchase was a Lennar house in Winchester, Ca.

Jim the walk through person assigned was very detailed he found some minor things that needed to be fixed prior to settlement that we missed on the walk through. Doug the customer care agent was very helpful in getting a couple of issues resolved. He had a list of contacts that we could use to install various items. Mortgage team not so great. They kept asking for additional documents until settlement,

As a repeat Lennar home buyer, I bought a second home from Lennar as I liked the floor plan and the neighborhood and had an overall good experience with my first Lennar home. However, this second home I recently purchased was a disappointing experience from beginning to end, plagued with numerous quality issues with the home, a lack of a robust quality assurance review process, lack of responsiveness, and an even worse warranty experience after purchase. Sales & Construction Process: - While they were all pleasant friendly and professional people, there was a lack of or sometimes no response and follow up from construction managers in spite of continued emails from myself and my realtor requesting updates on open issues, and in spite of being told by my Sales Rep in writing that we would get weekly updates on the construction of our home (never occurred even once), thereby causing delays in closing as issues were not fixed on time, repeatedly. - Significant defects in construction quality that had to be identified by the homeowner & my realtor vs. Lennar having a robust quality assurance process to identify and remediate issues BEFORE a walk through was performed. Not allowing a homeowner to blue-tape defects during a Walkthrough is an industry-first and caused gaps in what had to be remediated prior to closing. So, had to do 4 walk throughs due to all the defects and remediation, causing delays in closing. - Lack of knowledge and technical know-how by construction managers as they couldn't explain how defects would be repaired, or how they were repaired by the trades people after they were completed. - Trade workers used to remediate issues would fix one issue yet create another issue (damage), causing repeated delays in closing. Yet again was left up to the homeowner and realtor to identify this vs. the Lennar team exhibiting accountability to proactively resolve the issues and "do what was right" without the homeowner having to constantly push and escalate to get issues addressed. In addition, being a repeat customer did not seem to matter in resolving these situations so customer loyalty did not seem to be valued. The home was not properly cleaned and delivered at closing and I was given the excuse "this is a Builder's clean" which frankly is a self-inflicted insult on Lennar if this is the quality they deliver to customers upon closing. Others including my realtor agreed it was subpar. As an example, the level of paint splatter all over the LVP throughout the home was unbelievable as I am still working to get all that scraped up myself 2 months after closing. Warranty Processs: The Warranty Manager (Bryan) seemed to be focused only on metrics and directed me to submit the requests only on a certain day as he didn't want the ticket to be open for too long which would presumably reflect on him. Coming from the service ticket industry myself, this is highly inappropriate to influence a customer on the timing of ticket submission as opposed to focusing on the quality of the work to be performed and ensuring proper resolution. His focus was on quantity (ticket closure) vs. Quality (warranty request completeness and customer satisfaction). Also, there were not constructive conversations for my warranty requests with Bryan as he was often combative, disrespectful, made unprofessional comments, condescending, kept blaming me for issues that the trade vendors caused, and never was onsite to oversee the quality of repairs done by the trade workers thereby putting me as the homeowner in an uncomfortable position to assess the completeness and quality of the repairs which is not my responsibility. As just one example, during one of the warranty repair conversations on the phone, Bryan said to me "you seem to have a problem with Lennar's quality yet you bought two homes from them". This remark to me was not only irrelevant to the warranty matter at hand, but highly unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for me as the homeowner/customer. He proceeded to be combative and said "there's nothing I can do to make you happy" and in spite of what I said to explain my view on things, he interrupted me and repeated three times in a row "you have a great day" and hung up on me. During this conversation, one of the construction managers overheard Bryan's phone conversation with me, and that person reached out to me separately to apologize and said this is not representative of the quality Lennar provides to customers. This speaks volumes if even other Lennar staff has recognized how Bryan treats his customers. In fact, my neighbors and even the community HOA rep have all indicated challenges with this warranty manager's communication and level of respect for the homeowners. I have purchased with many other big-box builders and never experienced this lack of quality and overall customer care experience. Again, this was a disappointment especially after coming back to Lennar to buy a second home. I would unfortunately never buy a Lennar home again due to my recent experience. ... More

This was my first time going through this process. I worried about everything, was skeptical, I questioned everything about providing so much information and I was stressed. The Lennar representative guided me through all of the paperwork, which was a lot and Lennar dropped the price, which was a BLESSING! The lender representative made me feel better about the process. She was patient and answered my questions, reassuring me that the process is normal and not to worry. I received encouraging texts from my realtor, which also helped. My realtor was present at the final stage, “the signing”. One thing that bothered me was the large down payment I had to come up with. I was expecting some assistance as a first time homebuyer, but was told my interest rate would increase and I would need to raise my credit score. I wasn’t not prepared for that; but God made a way out of no way! As a first timer, I was not aware of so much such as Lennar did not give an option to choose the color of the house or flooring, they use “cheap feeling” door knobs, toilet paper holder, doors and screen doors. Shower rods, towel racks, window coverings were not provided; but I’m guessing that is so I can personalize my home. I was told they would include a washer and dryer but I’m not sure if I’m paying for it or was it really an extra incentive. After I moved in I received congratulatory texts and emails from EVERYONE involved in my experience! I’m getting settled in and learning to deal with the imperfections. Buying and closing was unnecessarily very stressful

Lenner set up the buying process that made home buying very simple and easy.They did everything from starting to finish with no problem. The staff was very helpful and courteous during the process. When we moved in the house, we found few minor problems and they addressed them without delay. They are very responsive.

Closing on the house was a nightmare. It was very unorganized. They were wanting me to close when the house had many issues.. Since closing, I’ve found many more issues and corners that were cut but the customer care rep is responsive about the things the can fix.

On the day that I went for my walk-through, Jerry and Kevin promised me that things will be fixed on that note there was was not fixed and also they promised me that my backyard would be sod and lied to me so I told them that they lied to me

Three-Star Review We recently received the keys to our new home and were excited to start moving in, but unfortunately the first thing we had to do was clean the entire house ourselves. It was very disappointing to find that the home hadn’t been cleaned before our walkthrough or move-in. As we’ve settled in, we’ve also noticed several small details around the home that don’t reflect the level of quality we expected. None of these issues are huge on their own, but together they’ve left us feeling less impressed with the overall finish. We still appreciate finally being in our new home, but the experience would have been much better with more attention to detail and proper cleaning prior to move-in. ... More

The entire process was very easy, my salesperson was very responsive and answered all my questions. I love the staff at Lennar they provide top Notch Customer Service. I especially enjoyed dealing with Frances, Juan, Judy and Alberto. They made my new home buying experience easy and as seamless as possible.
