We have had a very good experience with Lennar. Alex who sold us our home has kept in touch with us and Austin who is go to guy for repairs have both responded almost immediately to any questions or problems we’ve had.

Don't use others opinions when it comes to your experience. All of them are usually based on the buyer.

This has been the most annoying home buying experience ever. The day before closing all of the breakers were stolen out of the garage because they leave everything wide open for everyone to see. They then said it would take a week to get a new closing date. When i asked why does it take a week to get a closing date they said oh well the window was broken. I drove by the house that day and no window was broken but every door was unlocked and the garage was wide open. This is also a brand new home so i thought the appliances would be new, but my dishwasher still doesn’t work. It took 3 weeks to get a plumber out here just for him to say it’s not a plumbing issue. Lennar has been awful. When i moved in there was paint on the floors on all the showers and mirror just dripping. All the floors aren’t properly installed. You can see bubbles throughout. They didn’t even make the hole for the drain plug in the laundry room. Grass wasn’t installed for a month after i moved in. Blinds weren’t installed till a week after i moved in. I’ve been here almost 2 months and still do not have a mailbox installed due them not placing a simple concrete pad. There are other houses being built around me and the workers just throw there trash in my yard. I am beyond frustrated. Getting them to fix their issues is like pulling teeth. They subcontract everything out so it’s never their fault on why things aren’t working properly. I also financed through Lennar they sold my loan without an notification. They sent me a letter in the mail but i don’t have a mailbox so i never received it. Honestly a total let down. The only good thing of my home buying process was my realtor and she had no affiliation with Lennar. Victoria on the other hand the liaison between the contractors and me was the absolute worst. She never notified my realtor of anything. She didn’t do her job unless either myself or my realtor held her hand to do it. Honestly so disappointing. ... More

Truly great experience, beginning to end. We had one item we needed addressed at final walk through that we still have had done. It would be great if Lennar sees this and comes to fix. Loved the team and love out home and neighborhood so much!

My experience was very disappointing. I would never recommend a purchase from this builder without going through a professional realtor.

Start to finish everything was an average to a little bit above average experience left no negative impressions on me whatsoever and everyone I dealt with was willing to go the extra mile. The only glitch in my whole experience was my closing, and it was a terrible experience. They were not prepared at all. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes. It’s hard to say, and I had a very nice attorney closing with me, but I had a very good experience with the mortgage company so this was turned into hours after hours after hours of sitting around trying to close and the attorneys on the closing team said I did not have what I needed after the mortgage company had told me I had what I needed and at the end of the day the attorneys are closing had to be corrected. I did end up closing, but it was extremely stressful. We never wish that on anyone we never wanna have to go through that again if it was not for the unbelievable kindness of my closing attorney that I’m not sure we would’ve made it through. Where the mistake was obviously made was in the preparation. I know these closing sometimes seem to come up on us and almost feel last minute, but due to my divorce, the attorneys were asking for things that was not necessary and I knew they were not necessary and at the end of the day we closed and they were not necessary. Why did we have to ask that out on closing? Why didn’t we take care of that before? I’m not sure what those answers are I walked away extremely stressed, moving stressful anyway especially when you’re going through a divorce, but I survived it and I will say I don’t believe there was intentionality in it so that’s my good and bad opinion of my experience ... My experience was fast, easy and love my new home. Loved Tracy our realtor for Lennar. She was so sweet and amazing! She found our dream home for us. Thanks to Lennar we got a great deal and everyone with lennar was helpful.

Great small, quiet neighborhood, good value for location.

During the buying process, we had to contact the finance team multiple times before we heard back on any questions we had or information we needed. Nearly every time, we were the ones reaching out to them to find out what needed to be submitted, as opposed to them guiding us through the process. It was a very frustrating process, and if we hadn't done that, I'm not sure we would've completed the loan requirements before closing. In the month and a half since closing, we've been in constant contact with multiple people from the warranty team because they neglected to fix major issues that were pointed out during our third-party inspection, our walk-through, and our closing (three opportunities to fix them before closing), as well as new issues that have popped up since moving in. The construction quality is done with cheap materials (multiple Lennar employees have said this to us) and is done quickly through contractors that care about speed over quality. This has led to minor issues all over the house as well as a major leak needing a new ceiling and a completely new front door within a week of being there. With each of these problems, we've had to reach out to the warranty team several times to get their help on anything, and they've had to come back multiple times for the same issues because of the poor workmanship during repairs. Overall, we're nervous about other issues that will arise over time, and it would be highly unlikely that we would recommend buying a house with Lennar to anyone we know. ... More

Mark was extremely professional and friendly and made us feel very comfortable on our final walkthrough. Every item that was either noted by Lennar and (importantly) our personal inspector, was corrected. It should be pointed out that most items were very minor, but it demonstrated Lennar’s commitment to quality workmanship.

Overall- great experience. I would say most cookie cutter homes lack some quality control, but Lennar makes it easy to address those issues and have them resolved.

My overall home buying process was simple and smooth. John was fantastic! He no longer works with the company but he was tremendous through the whole process and making sure that I got the best deal and all of the builder incentives. The only issue is that they rushed me on inspection, they got one of their ppl to inspect for me and the patio door latch was broken so it wouldn't stay closed (they did come to fix it and stated it was put in upside down) the cabinet had a knick in it but "they wouldn't fix since it wasn't mentioned prior to closing" (their person walked through for me and failed to mention it), ... This was our first time buying a Lennar home. Never again

The home buying experience was very good. From our initial interactions to closing day everyone did a very good job. One area they need help with is responsiveness to issues. After close we experienced three issues. One was resolved quickly. The next was not. One appointment for a repair was a no show and they rescheduled. Still waiting on resolution. The third issue we are also still waiting for resolution. We have been requesting updates for a couple of weeks with no response. Last point, although not directly an issue with the home itself but worth mentioning is with regards to Lennar mortgage. Lennar mortgage if factored into this overall experience would have brought this rating down more. Lennar mortgage was an exhausting experience. Too many questions answered multiple times. Of all the mortgages I’ve held in the past this definitely was the most work for such a minimal amount of money. Would not recommend using them. Ever. ... More

Bad experienc low quality.

Excellent sales agent (Jenifer), good price, good construction, thorough orientation/walk-through (Miguel). Solar company is slow, asked for first PG&E bill which I sent twice, but was evidently never read. The company's agents called multiple times asking for information that are on the PG&E statement. In trying to get a mailbox key, the US Post Office refused to honor our grant deed as proof of ownership because Lennar's Title Company did not include the property address, only the parcel number. It took calls and final visits to the offices of the county Recorder who referred us to the Assessor who referred us to the Tax Collector to see who can give us proof of ownership of the new home. Each one said there was nothing they could do except the Tax Collector that can provide a property tax statement in our names in September, four months from closing date. ... More

The buying process was very smooth and all aspects were beyond satisfactory. I highly recommend Lennar.

The closing team was horrible. I cannot express how stressful they all made this process. We have bought and sold many properties and this by far was one of the worst. The house itself is fine, although other similar builders were better quality and better features for the same price. We needed this location/ area, so this worked for our needs in that regard.

Sales tactics to sell a house poor. Selling for less money to neighbors giving incentives and pretending they nothing about it. The walk thru rep is very poor work ethics I have went a few emails asking got tell and no response. Check out the Facebook page of customer complaints for Lennar. Amazing.

I purchased a Lennar townhouse in Tampa, Florida as an investment property to use as a rental. Overall, I have been very pleased with the experience and have no buyer's remorse. Like any new construction home, there were a few minor items that needed attention during the final walkthrough. The stove and microwave had been used by contractors and needed to be cleaned, there was a small ceiling crack between the kitchen lights, some sticky residue on the stairs, and a cosmetic mark on one of the bedroom walls. I brought these items to Lennar's attention, and they were very responsive. Their team was professional, accommodating, and addressed every issue without hesitation. The home is what I would consider builder-grade construction, which is exactly what I expected for the price point. It offers good value, a functional layout, and should make an excellent rental property. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to purchase another Lennar home. ... More

Our experience with Lennar has been extremely disappointing. From the moment we moved into our brand-new home, we began noticing poor workmanship and quality issues. We've since discovered a significant amount of damage that appears to have been hidden before closing, which has only added to our frustration. When we brought these concerns to our project manager, she was unhelpful, dismissive, and showed little interest in resolving the issues. As first-time homebuyers, this was a huge investment and an exciting milestone for us, but instead, the experience has been stressful and disheartening. If we had known the level of craftsmanship and customer service we would receive, we would not have gone through with purchasing a Lennar home. We are deeply disappointed and hope the company takes greater pride in the quality of its homes and the way it supports its homeowners after the sale. ... More

The entire process was delayed multiple times, virtually no communication, and it was difficult to get in contact with someone to assist with whatever issue I was having at the time.

Initially the respect from Mirna came across as disturbing and fake but I figured I was stressed about finding the perfect home. Long-story shorten is I was pressured to closed 11 May on a new construction. Move in 12 May, but b/c I didn't cancel my movers on 12 May to sit in a empty house waiting for Mike to arrange delivery of the microwave I had to buy my own 2 weeks later. On 29 June, at 11:30am sod was delivered (2nd time) to my curb. It sat in 98° temps until 30 June, 3pm before a crew came to "throw" it down. Alot of the sod is GRAYish. Through the night, neighbors stole so much that there wasn't enough to complete my lawn. Of course, all the workers will only speak Spanish, I don't speak Spanish nor do I try. The warranty control individual, Jamie no longer address anything and the condescension is ridiculous. Zero Professional Courtesy. So, now I understand what I was feeling initially and I shouldn't have ignored it. This has been the most embarrassing, stressful, depressing experience ever!! I wouldn't have my worst enemy go thru this nightmare. Every time it rains, my yard is quicksand and totally a mud pit for days after it stop. Almost 2 MONTHS without sod. Who buys a house without grass? Total embarrassment, I hate this and I should've stayed at my first home. The negative reviews are true. The ONLY person that has been respectful and professional is Jordan but there's only so much he can do. My pending case is just sitting there and Lennar do not plan on making anything about this nightmare right. They claim others have closed on these homes but I've lived on this DARK street ALONE over a month and counting. It's just not a safe environment and this house is not move in ready...Totally misleading and there's nothing I can do about it but stay Prayed up. ... More
