As the saying goes, "first impression is the last impression". In this instance, I tend to disagree with my homebuying experience with Lennar. The first encounter with my agent was quite impressive. The questions I have fielded were answered with conviction. However, I have felt a sense of deception and distrust along the way and during the construction process. I had asked a few questions regarding the construction specifications, but those didn't materialize at the end. Bottom line, do your diligent research before you sign the contract. Ask current homeowners with their experiences, etc. The house I moved in have issues that have not been looked at or rectified as of this review. The insulation is very sub-par. It is uncomfortable during the day, having the AC set at recommended 78° and just runs all day long. The temperature in the garage is unbearable. I ended up insulating the attic myself. And to mention, found some empty beer cans up there. Perhaps, the construction folks needed some refreshment to stave off the heat. The home buying process itself was great and Lucas the sales associate was very helpful and engaged throughout the process. However, after moving into our new home, it was like playing cat and mouse game trying to get work orders completed. Even for issues such as gas leak considered emergency took over a week to fix. As I'm writing this review, I had a water leak in my master bedroom 2 weeks ago and a Lennar staff member came to look at it himself and that was the last time I heard from anyone. Called and left message for him last week and called the warranty coordinator last week who said she'll follow up with a call "shortly" but never called back. ... More

Should have a higher quality in the workmanship however these communities are built fast so this was not a huge surprise. Nail pops throughout the house and cracks in most window frames. Given the aesthetic issues we are overall pleased with the purchase of the home. Financed through lenses lender which made the process seamless.

While I love my new home, the customer service is awful. We have been in the home for 6 months and things that should have been fixed before we moved in still are not done. We were told it would get fixed quickly. If I had a recommendation for anyone it would be to put off closing escrow until the things you want done are completed.

After moving into my first new home, I quickly learned that I should have done much more research on homebuilders before signing the initial contract. 15 of 17 of my neighbors, myself included, who all bought brand new $400k+ townhomes, have had the WORST first home buying experience with Lennar. Starting from our unreliable and gossiping builder to the terrible corporate warranty request process and service. During closing, the real estate attorney even stated that many other buyers have had similar complaints and issues with Lennar. While sharing my home despairs, I also learned of a family friend who bought a Lennar home built in 2014 who also had an unpleasant experience with Lennar. I have been forewarning all my friends, coworkers, acquaintances, etc. to avoid purchasing a home from Lennar due to the negative experience I have had with them. ... More

We bought 2 Lennar homes in the past. We had no real issues with them. This home in Verona Manor has been a headache for us, from broken appliances to water leakage. The response time on getting things fixed is the worst I have ever experienced. I would have love to have given Lennar a great review, but I feel that to make a company great you need to know what your workers are doing and that can hurt a reputation that Lennar held for so long.

Lots of our concern were not address and still waiting for answer

I was initially pleased with watching our home being built from the ground up however as it came time to close on the property things started going Awry. We picked out a corner lot and was advised by the agent this would all be our land. As they lay the sod we began to notice they weren’t filling in the corner side of the home. As we did our first walk through blue taping things that would need to be completed before move in the house was covered with blue tape. When we came back to complete our final walk through we noticed hardly anything was completed. Our home was still covered in blue tape with we met with the head guy who apologized for the work not being done no excuse this happened to be our closing day. While going over the unfinished items I asked about the side of the home not being completed with sod it was then after paying an additional $2500 for a corner lot we were advised it didn’t belong to us and they couldn’t rezone the area. My neighbor owns the same amount of land that I do but $2500 less to not have a neighbor on side of them?? After informing them this was the reason we purchased the corner lot because we have a small child and would be throwing birthday parties and family gatherings. I was then told I could still use the property for those things. Needless to say about a month later they put all kind of landscaping making it impossible to use the land. Not to mention other things that were wrong with the home like cabinets, paint, uneven windows, first floor isn’t cool as second floor just to name a few. With a promise and handshake we were assured all things would be taken care of and we could close on the home with no worries. I believe all patios should have the screen offered/given unless refused by Tenants

Love our house but Lennar could have done much better with quality control. Didn’t even have a garage door night before closing. Chased for months to close items documented prior to closing.

The materials used are cheap. The craftsmanship put in to the home is cheap. There’s so many peoples and the customer service line refuses to fix them. Always finding a loophole. My first review was denied. Concrete is crumbling. Grout is crumbling. The home is 6 months old.

The home is above average in construction but there are a number of things that need to be fixed. The construction appears to have been rushed and a number of items still need to be done even though it has been a few months since closing. Trees that were promised to be replaced by the agent haven't been replaced. We were told it was too hot to replace them this past summer, but no effort has been made to replace them since summer. Always get things in writing, even though I didn't do thst.

Frustrated with response to issues. Took two weeks to get damage from leak fixed. Having some plumbing issues and dishwasher hits stove door when opened. Love the location

No lighting ,provided, this cause the home to have electrical issues that were not tested until I moved in

Lennar builds an excellent home. They're building many houses in the state of Florida.

The lack of job site supervision and quality control was extremely evident. The quality of workmanship was extremely poor and not up to par for a brand new home.

Quality and easy to work with

We had a wonderful experience with the sales staff and this review is not for our rating of them. We have had a very poor experience with getting home warranty work taken care of and have found the quality of the workmanship to be poor. We feel like some of the trades just slapped the house together and do not take any pride in their work. The tile and cabinet trades have been no-shows 4 times now. Extremely irritating as our time is valuable and it’s seems like after they have our money, we just aren’t important.

My husband and I had an awful experience with building and purchasing our home with Lennar. Our final home walk through appointment was cancelled one hour before we were to meet (after we had arranged to be off of work and had child care services lined up). The house at our final walk through was not finished (not cleaned with dead bugs everywhere, missing paint, holes in the walls/ceilings, all the blinds were missing, the seamless shower frame we paid for was not installed etc). We had to rush to close because Lennar forced us and we had to push Lennar for months to get everything fixed/corrected after we moved in. The house was so dirty I had to clean it myself before it would move anything in. We were so disappointed with Lennar that I would not recommend buying from them. ... More

Lennar homes are undoubtedly beautiful with first class materials. Unfortunately there is a markedly disconnect in the quality control and some workmanship. It is understandable that inevitably there will be some issues with a new home, but most of us in Dorado are in agreement that the issues we have been facing are not becoming of half million dollar homes. Many of our issues have come down to outright LACK of quality control. In one case the only thing that needed to be done to see the problem was to look up at the wall. I am very happy with the response from the team that addresses these issues, Overall I am and will be a Lennar customer for life; with just a tiny bit of effort these can be the best homes in the market! ... Since the process begun, Lennar has been very helpful to us. After the purchase warranty is always being there for us with any inquiry. I will do it again no questions asked.

Terrible. Never buy again with you

I really had higher expectations from Lennar but I feel it fell short on several fronts...not going to recommend to any one. ..I would probably advice to stay away from Lennar given the price of the house and poor material and workmanship...sad !!

Until today I am trying to change the door of the house entrance because it is a shame and nobody is responsible and I never really through that I would have such a bad experience for different reasons at home

My Wife and I are extremely satisfied with our LENNAR home and recommend them to all.
