I closed in early October 2025, and after numerous requests I still haven’t received my closing documents. I need the documents. Ridiculous !!!!

The process wasn’t smooth. Closing delayed twice, zero celebration-just were given a snack cake and a goodbye after spending more than a half million dollars!

The Lennar team as a whole warrants 5 stars!

Bought a new home in Horizons CC in September. Recognized a great opportunity and took advantage of it. The team I worked with were great. From Paul C in Sales, Kenny for the walk through, Field for the mortgage to Lindsey in customer support. The experience was great.

This was the most difficult purchase of real estate that I have experienced in my 50 years of real estate investment. The entire staff need to be retrained. The title company group was the worst!

I was impressed with the initial process but I was given very little on what to expect once I receive the keys to my home. I received no welcome package or greetings from the team like I had received with other companies in the past when purchasing a new home. I signed the loan and they gave me the keys and sent me on my way. Typically I would be given info on who my utilities company contacts are, where to go to get my mail key. No instructions given to me for the ring. The key passcode to the garage key pad so I can reset it. Not even the website link to the portal for the home. I also didn’t have the HOA contact in case I needed to contact them later. I had reached out to the builder and the sales rep to find out at least contact info on who I can contact or direct me and I had to email them 3-4 times before finally getting all the info I needed and they took a screenshot while to respond. Our Lennar sales person Ashley was wonderful; without her we would not have purchased our house. The superintendent that provided the walk through was great. Every part of the process went well until we had to deal with Lennar Title. With Title we had little to no communication from anyone. Because of Title we closed escrow 4 days late, losing the only weekend we had to move and forcing us to rent storage and lose time from work. And the reason we “only” closed 4 days late was because Ashley went to bat for us and got our paperwork moved to the top of the pile. The whole situation was ridiculous! It was a shame because up until the close of escrow, the whole home buying process had been smooth and easy. After escrow closed and we moved in, we discovered some hidden design issues. To be clear, it appears the home was built per specs, but just FYI: these homes are built with interior wall studs at 19” on center, and the ceiling joists are 2x4s. You thought you’d be using your attic for storage? Think again! It’s not built sturdy enough for that. ... More

Being a first time homebuyer my experience was stressful , but Lennar made it as easy as pie! Thanks Gina for your expertise and your hard work .

my experience purchasing my Lennar home has unfortunately not been the best. In particular with the workmanship and the broken promises. Very little has been done for my issues i pointed out during my walk-through Cody, the sales rep was quick and responsive so I don’t anything bad to say about him. He guided us through the process nicely. And helped us navigate our experience. That part of my experience was fine. However, my experience dealing with Lennar mortgage rep, Lee was one of the worst customer experiences. So much so, I went with another mortgage company even though Lennar had a better deal. because my experience was so bad I just didn’t want to work with him. My design studio appointments were great, and some of the follow-up. At my walkthrough I noted exposed nails, cracked master bedroom windows and large gaps in the seal in concrete in front of my home (among other issues). This was noted BEFORE I MOVED IN. These issues have not been addressed. I have injured myself on the exposed nails on stairway and the carpet in two rooms is separating from the floor. THIS WAS NOTED BEFORE MOVED IN. My master bedroom window has a crack and it has not been addressed. My solar is not working. It’s been 2 months. I’ve paid 30k for solar and nobody can help me get it working. Some county inspection wasn’t completed on the battery and I can’t get Lennar to help me get this. Even though this is something that should have been completed before I moved in. And while i have pleaded for help with these issues, they have not been addressed. I just wished I didn’t feel so cast aside when purchasing our first home with Lennar. ... More

Has always been helpful and very knowledgeable.

Kyle, the salesperson was wonderful. He was very thorough, thoughtful and responsive. Lennar the builder rushed the final fin8sh8ng derails and clean up to get our home off the books at the end of the month. We were in no rush to close, they set the close dare and then were not prepared to actually close. There was a lot to complete/repair after our final.walk through. Some were completed, some we discovered were not as we did not move in on the closing day. Issues we brought up were then told it would have to go through the warranty department who then told us the issues were our maintenance problem and not a warranty issue. Vanessa was awesome. Couldn’t ask for any better. Dennis was great. Everybody was great besides the loan the loan service people very bad never been treated like that before. condescending narcissistic talk down to me all the time told me to shut up once I almost told him to kiss my butt, but I stuck it out. I’m not gonna say his name. I’m sure you know he is. There’s been a lot of complaints. I’m guarantee it and I know somebody is not using me anymore because of it so he will lose his money for being so condescending and narcissistic and talking down to people all the time third time buying a house which would be my last enjoy the home. ... The house was poorly done and amendments were not done after walk through as promised.

If you want to pay high dollar for a cheap build with corners cut everywhere you look - buy a Lennar home. They don’t even paint (or prime) the ceilings. The things we’ve discovered after it was too late have continued to pile up and cost us over $10,000 in upgrades that should have been standard for a home of this price within the first 2 months. Stay away.

Great. Don't change a thing

Month of delays in completion and last minute or no communication about delays. Some responsiveness to issues and attempts to rectify, but promises were broken.

Everything went smoothly, and we truly enjoyed the experience.

Major construction issue brought to us days before settlement was scheduled.They didn’t run electric from the house to the street! AC hadn’t been installed, no one worked on all the unfinished work on the inside for quite some time. All painting and finish work is absolutely awful. We were told much will be corrected but nothing was done. Delay after delay and if they did the work needed on the inside, it would delay settlement even further. We were told our expectations were too high and that we weren’t buying a home on Kiawah Island or Mount Pleasant (we’re in Summerville). We should have walked and I regret accepting what I came to realize was a very bad idea and experience. ... More

From the first introductions with Amy, and on through showings, contracts, on into move-in transitions to follow-up support, our whole buying experience built our trust and confidence in our decision to buy our new Lennar home in Erie, CO.

Lennar rushed closing of the homes for the hill district, knowing well the street is not ready for living conditions. This make investors lose thousands of dollars for couple of months. Worst closing experience for the purchase of The hill district .

My experience with Lennar was very smooth and fast

My purchase experience was great. However, there have been way too many issues upon moving in. Customer service has been excellent at addressing the problems, but I just wouldn't expect to still have issues after 6 weeks.
