As a new home buyer, while under construction I would like to select certain things, like flooring preferences/colors, etc. With these homes you cannot make any changes.

Issues are very slow to get addressed. Had a walk through 1 week before closing, was told all issues identified would be corrected before closing. We paid cash for our house at closing and were not able to move in for another month. After trying for two months to get items corrected I was told to submit the issues as warranty calls. After numerous cracks started appearing 3 months after we closed in the stucco. The house is only 6 months old now, Lennar says this is normal and I must repair. Funny not the first home I had, yet it has more cracks than my last home in California. A leak developed back in late August, it took over a month to identify where it came from, a crack in the stucco above window(was there no flashing). It then took another month get the initial repair with stucco patch and has still not been painted. One of the repair people that came, damaged the trim on the front of house and failed to notify me. I notified Lennar of this over 3 weeks ago, no one has showed up to repair. Warranty's are only good if the builder responds and resolves in a timely manner. ... More

Too many issues with workmanship and response to repairs.

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY LENNAR!!!First off Lennar baits customers in and ever so slightly switches what the customer paid for. We paid a lot more for a premium lot. We were told by our sale person that nothing or no one would build or construct behind us. We came home and found the area behind us staked off for a walking trail. There went our privacy right out the window. Do you think Lennar was professional enough to ever let us know anything about it? Now Lennar is saying that they knew nothing about the walking trail and that we have to direct our concerns to the city and the developers. Lennar has our money and we are stuck holding the bag. On to the home..... we had a punch list of items that needed to be repaired prior to our closing. Only a hand full of them were done and the items repaired were completed very poorly. We have been in our home for 6 months and we still have open items that have to be repaired. Not to mention I have used 20 hours of my vacation for the trades to come out to repair some of the same items over again. The quality of materials that Lennar uses to build homes are very sub par. A customer that pays a whole lot of money for a house surely does not get what they pay for. Don't get fooled by all of the smart home gadgets that come with the home. All of the headaches that come with warranty issues that customers have do not outweigh what they throw in as complementary items. We also have cracks in our garage floor, covered patio, and driveway and Lennars says they cracks are in tolerance. To me a crack is a crack and needs to be repaired. We also have a crack in the mortar above our garage that has been repaired. But guess what the same crack has appeared again in the same exact spot. I filled out another service ticket and it has been 1 month and no response from anyone about it. We have a toilet in our master bath that is about a half of inch higher on one side than the other. None of our bathroom sinks hold water and after the plumbers came out twice. Now they are finally going to replace the pop up drains. Cracks are starting to appear in various spots of the home and all Lennar can say is your home is just starting to settle. The only thing Lennar can say is wait until your home goes through the four seasons. Bottom line is please, please do your homework work before buying a Lennar product. Read the reviews from other Lennar customers and every one of them are legit. DON'T BUY LENNAR!!! ... More

Love our house and community. Some of the craftsmanship is not exactly worthy of 700K plus homes. Responsiveness to warranty issues has been very disappointing overall.

I would not recommend the Lennar financing team. That is the only reason I would not rate Lennar 5 stars for Trustworthiness and Responsiveness to issues. The finance team could not get my settlement statement correct even right up to closing. I almost walked away from purchasing the villa due to their constant mistakes.

Master bathroom has several issue. Grout falling out, tiles not even, counter top with non removal stains. Called about grout falling out and they used a different color caulking to replace

Sheetrock, trim, paint sub par, but the unit was cheap so I expected that. I am happy with my purchase, but the quality could have been better. I have not had an issue so I do not know the responsiveness. Sales team was great to work with, but the construction quality was poor.

Our home has been great for the 6 months we’ve been in it so far. The material used is good quality and any issues we’ve had have been resolved quickly

Many issues still remain. Still upset that we were promised a refrigerator but did not receive it. Bought during April when they had the special but we did not receive it.

I am a repeat customer with Lennar and this experience was not at all like my first one. So many things were wrong with the house and we purchased in May. I was built too fast and no one paid attention to details. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone

Great work

I bought a lennar home in Las Vegas, NV and now in Riverview. The only benefits is all inclusive. Cleanliness, responsiveness to problems, and customer service are almost non existent.

I never take these surveys but always will for Lennar. Out experience has been atrociously poor. 1 star is not a low enough rating. Ridiculous amount of issues with house and horrible customer service.

Lennar has the best builders, sales personnel, representatives, and excellent homes. They quoted a closing date and came through. We’re enjoying our home!

The sales part of the home buying went well. Excellent support by sales (Paul). The closing and walkthrough didn't go so well. House was not ready at walkthrough. Communication could have been better but go through it. Construction manager was professional and built a friendship.

As if this moment in time , house is six months old, Lennar has been very responsive to our concerns. I have owned Lennar homes in the past, as long as you hire a home inspector at pre drywall and for the final walkthrough, Lennar has been cooperative in making any necessary repairs.

4 months after move in we still have unresolved issue. The warranty agent apparently has difficulty getting results from some sub contractors

Lennar cuts every corner and does not honor its warranty. They are unresponsive, rude and do not do proper repairs.

This review is not in regards to the location, the neighborhood, the local schools, etc... It is strictly about Lennar. I purchased a home from Lennar at the end of May 2019. My experience with Lennar before and after purchasing the home has been terrible. This company lacks communication, consistency, and quality, among other things. When we agreed to purchase the home that we liked, the closing date was originally set for early June 19. Lennar contacted us and said that the closing date could be moved up to mid-May. We agreed to that closing date. When that date finally came around, I took off of work to allow time for the walk-through and all of the paperwork that comes along with closing. It was getting late on the day of closing and Lennar had still not contacted me to come do the walk-through. They finally contacted me and said that there wasn't time to close and we would have to do it at a later day. I went up to look at the house the next day and saw that the house was nowhere near ready and that they made no attempt to even close on the day that they moved it up to. I was extremely frustrated that I sacrificed an entire workday for nothing. Eddie, the area manager, and Drew, the sales rep, made no attempt to apologize or compensate me for this. Several days later, I walked through the house with Mario, the construction manager at the time, and put up blue tape on areas that needed a paint touch-up. After a while he has another appointment and said that Drew, the sales rep, was on his way to assist me in continuing the process. When the sales rep showed up, he aggressively told me to leave the home and that if I didn't like the way it looked, the house wasn't mine to buy. At the same time, I noticed that there was a bird's nest in the attic which was the result of a gap in the roof I had brought to their attention in the past, but they told me it was nothing. My wife and I moved into the home on June 2nd, and there are issues that we identified before ever purchasing the home that we are still dealing with today. The most recent is chips in the floor, which has now turned into a 5-week process just to replace a couple of panels on the floor. Lennar left the laundry room vent blocked which caused a blockage between my dryer machine and the vent exit on the ceiling of the house. This is a major fire hazard. The fence gate has broke 3 times. Paint on the outside of the house began to peel off. There was a missing baseboard. There was paint in the carpet and on the flooring throughout the house, and when I brought this up they told me to just to get a washcloth and clean it up myself. There are paint chips and inconsistencies in the paint in every single room of the house, they told me to use the provided touch up paint to fix it myself. I appreciate that the house came with sod and an irrigation system, but the way they laid the sod was extremely careless. Since we first met with Lennar, we have gone through 3 construction managers. As you can imagine, this has caused inconsistency and confusion in communication. I would never recommend Lennar to any of my friends or family. Make sure everything promised is completed. Warranty work should be submitted asap

Have problems that need to be taken care of Have a Kēvo that has never worked and now they say I have to pay $120 to have it set up and maybe it will work if not then they will replace it maybe

We bought our home less than 6 months ago and we had several serious issues that could have been prevented with proper supervision and workmanship. Without going into details, we have dealt with issues from flooding garage, improperly built shower (water behind tiles and on sill), to cracks and bumps on the ceiling. We had to place multiple work orders for new and existing issues. We must take time off from work to get these issues resolved and have had contractors not show up at all. When the work is not up to standards contractors point fingers at each other and customer service ends up denying the claim and leaving you stranded to pay for the repair out of packet. We dealt with deceiving contractors that say they fix something when we aren’t home, but the issue remains, and our security system shows them being on site for less than 12 minutes. We have also dealt with contractors that do not speak English and get frustrated if you don’t understand what they are saying. Same contractors that incorrectly make repairs are sent to your home again to fix issues. There are a few contractors we have dealt with that are qualified and get the job done right, but we have unfortunately mostly dealt with the opposite. We are disappointed with Lennar to say the least and should have probably “bought a better-quality custom home” as suggested by the customer service rep. ... More
