The overwhelming defects in our new home and the lack of response to our concerns is heartbreaking. We watched our home being built on a regular basis and pointed out deficiencies and wanted them addressed to no avail. We moved in and are now living a nightmare in trying to resolve workmanship and defective materials. Contractors and Manufacturers are at odds and we are their victim of circumstance. This was to be our final home purchase for our retirement. It is seriously going to kill us first with the anxiety/stress and depression we are experiencing. Our advisor was very knowledgeable but unfortunately, he had a family emergency during our home buying process from the very beginning and was told to contact 2 other Lennar reps if we had any questions. They were no help at all. Never let us know what was going on and never returned calls. This was the most crucial time as we were in the actual home buying process. When we moved in, we had quite a few issues with things around the house and to get those things fixed it was just a nightmare. For example, as we did our walk through, we noticed that the paint on the outside of the house did not match the majority of the wall and were told they accidentally painted it the wrong color. It took about a month or so to get anybody out there to fix it and we were told that the painters came out and fixed it, twice! Really? Because it was the exact same as when we did our walkthrough. It was never fixed. I could go on and on about all the issues we had. We were and are still very disappointed at this new home buying experience. This wasn’t our first home we purchased, but it was our first brand new home and we expected much better than what we got. After our experience, we probably won’t buy another Lennar home. The two areas i find poor is the height of the microwave. It is so high to be unusable. The master shower is beautiful but poor design. It has subway tile on floor which is slick. I almost fell. I love my home. Great floorplan.

Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, willing to help at all times, and we could tell that everyone seemed to enjoy what they were doing. That meant a lot to us as homebuyers. When we finally saw all of our selections installed in our new home, we found them absolutely stunning. We are delighted beyond expectation! It is the home our family has always wanted.” We recommend Lennar to future home buyers!

Sales Consultant was great to work with. Took the time to help identify the perfect floor plan for us. Process from inquiry through closing was smooth and painless. We had no significant issues, but any issues or concerns have been promptly handled. have been in our new home for three months, and are completely satisfied.

Lennar seems to be everywhere around here. That being said, there are many positives to purchasing a Lennar home: attractive designs, functional and attractive interior spaces, many inclusions that are extra with other builders, nicely landscaped communities, helpful ( for the most part) staff. On the whole, Lennar homes are a good value for the price. We are happy with our new home. The down side to purchasing with such a large company is you won’t get personal attention when something goes wrong, and there are limited opportunities to customize.

We're enjoying the new home but there are a few things that we wish were done differently. First, for the price paid, there should be a sprinkler system installed. The majority of lawns in the neighborhood have died and we had to have someone trench our new lawn to install a system after the fact. At a minimum, it should be a paid option. The fescue breed grass is a cool weather grass that requires a lot of water. Second, the green space behind our home looks like a wasteland and it's been that way for almost a few years according to neighbors. Landscaping and irrigation needs to be installed as promised. There are community infrastructure components that were major selling points for us including the jogging trail around the neighborhood and connection to the green way. Currently there are random pieces of sidewalk missing around the neighborhood which interrupt bike riding for the kids and are dangerous. It would seem these things would help sell the remaining homes. ... More

Lennar has always there for us for any issue with the house.

We had a great building process, but we have found so many issues since move in and lennar just keeps pushing us off and not finding fixes.

Lennar’s house plans are very well done for modern living. Materials are as advertised. Home care warranty is practically worthless. And their people can be spiteful if you get upset with their poor service.

Lennar has the right people for the right job. Professional and integrity that what counts.

Quality of workmanship is the worst I’ve seen. This is the third house I’ve built in last 8 yrs and the worst. They try to fix it but they just don’t know how

From incorrect colors and finishes to horrible, dead landscaping and a completely unresponsive contractor, we loved the process but were left with a home that was not exactly what we picked nor what we envisioned.

We love our home, but when you’re promised things and are told you’re under warranty you expect things that weren’t fixed to get done, but they don’t get back to you. That’s not good customer service.

I WOULD NOT recommend Lennar. I can’t even count the number of things that went wrong which started with permitting the wrong elevation. We caught so many issues then were made to feel like we were being difficult when we’d bring them up to the builder. We were trying to have items corrected before it became too late to do so. Examples of what we caught were: house painted the incorrect color both inside and out, tile stopped and squared prior to where it should have been & had to be redone, floor plug placed in incorrect location (would have been in the walking path and not under furniture had we not moved it to the same location as in the model home), cabinets hung too low (washer lid would not have cleared when open - they were 2-3” lower than model), tile placed in area that was supposed to be carpeted, incorrect light fixture hung in dining room, incorrect stain on railing to upstairs, kitchen island placed in incorrect location (by 18”!!! Then the prewires for the pendant lights had to be moved as well). Then because the house “sat” in the elements (heat & rain), all the exterior wood that was not protected by tyvek or shingles became warped and had to be torn off and replaced (including the flooring in the 2nd story). Given the fact that rework is the most expensive part of any manufacturing process, I would have thought Lennar would want to prevent these errors from occurring, but they didn’t seem to care at all. The house took 15 months to build which seemed pretty ridiculous. We ended up the last house to complete on our street - we should have been done earlier then at least 10 others that started after ours. The entire process was maddening and I would never do it again and never recommend Lennar as they just don’t seem to care about their customers. ... More
